The Android-powered device streams movies and music, and also includes a game store enabling customers to purchase and play games through their TV.

A number of games are also available from day one, including the likes of Minecraft (£4.99), The Walking Dead (Episode 1 free), and Grand Theft Autos III (£1.69), Vice City (£1.69) and San Andreas (£1.99).
However, some games will require a separate game controller, also released today and priced at £34.99.
In April Amazon released a video showing some of the games being developed for Fire TV including Sev Zero, a platform exclusive third-person shooter similar to Gears of War.
Back in February, Amazon acquired Killer Instinct developer Double Helix Games, stating the purchase was part of its "ongoing commitment to build innovative games for customers".
