    Manufacturer: HDfury

Overview : The HDfury is a revolutionary product that allows you to use the full resolution (up to 1080p) of any DVI/HDMI device on a CRT projector, PC monitor, older HDTV/Plasma TV, or any other device without a DVI/HDMI input! If you own a high quality projector/monitor/TV that does not have a DVI/HDMI connector you need this device! Why buy a new expensive display device when your existing one can already support high definition?

HDfury module will transform any "technically able" ANALOG display into a DIGITAL display performing a perfect visual HD & Full HD fury @ 720p/1080p from any HDMI/HDCP sources such as HD-DVD/Blu-Ray players, PS3, X360 Elite, Satellite/Cable HDTV set-top boxes, HTPCs with HDMI graphic cards, to name a few! • HDTV, Plasma, LCD
    • LCD, DLP, SXRD, D-ILA proj.
    • 3 tubes proj Barco, Nec, ..
    • Any RGB, VGA, YUV Display
Quality/Usability : HDfury allows you to display HD quality @ 720p/1080p from any HDMI/HDCP sources such as SAT & Cable HDTV setbox, Xbox360 Elite, PlayStation 3, HDMI graphic card, etc. on a analog display such as TV, PC monitor, projector, etc. Yes, thats right. HD visuals on non-HD displays!

HDfury imitates itself to be a HDCP-supporting receiver, that outputs DRM-stripped analog RGB content at the same resolution and aspect ratio as if output in digital form. The HDfury is encased in a black case with a gold plate on the front that says 1080p. On the gold plate is a window and that shows a Silicon Image chip. I presume this is where all the magic happens. Sorry, but I'm not a HT expert.

The review sample that we received only came in a clear plastic packaging with HDfury, and extended VGA cable (if there is not enough space to connect HDfury). The final packaging will include a manual. Since the HDfury is a DVI to VGA adapter, you will need a HDMI to DVI adapter or cable to connect to the HDfury.

Using the HDfury, I was able to play the PlayStation 3 and Xbox360 via HDMI to DVI-D cable to my monitor. Display was converted to 1280x1024 pixels. The visual was clean and crisp both on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox360 Elite. 1080p on the PlayStation 3 is only available in HDMI mode and when I turned on the PlayStation 3, it booted up fine. I went into the settings to confirm and indeed it was set to 1080p and the screen was displaying what was playing in the PlayStation 3. If there was ever a need to update HDfury, the eprom could be reflashed externally by dealers and manufacturer.

Here is a video of HDfury in action with the PlayStation 3:

    http://www.youtube.com/v/IJLh7ypXhjI" width="425" height="350"

Conclusion : Overall, the HDfury HDMI/DVI to RGB Converter is a sweet unique product. I no longer have to fight with the gf to see who gets to use the HDTV or be confined to it. I can now use my PC monitor to play my PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 Elite with HD quality visuals You'll have to supply your own HDMI to DVI-D cable, DVI/HDMI adapters or DVI to DVI cable, depending whether or not you have the cables needed already. If not, you'll have to purchase one which usually costs about $7-13 for the cable and about $5 for the adapter. The price of the HDfury is a pricey. Price can range from $129.99 to $150.95 but it is well worth it for those looking to play their HD products without the need of a HDTV.

    *UPDATE*
I was informed the following from the Project Manager:

You should always use HDMI > DVI-D CABLE (without adapter)
In fact cable and adapter can work just fine, but for example if you have HD-DVD player problem and call toshiba, first thing they gonna told you is : REMOVE ANY ADAPTER
It's a known case of problem, it could work fine with many devices expect some who will need HDMI > DVI-D cable straight.

The above review is based on the BLUE version which includes HD15 VGA extender cable and tested on a Dell 2405FPW. For those who are Home Theater fiends/exotics/pros/etc., there is also a RED version which includes a Barco Port 3 Cable and a GREEN version which includes a 5-BNC breakout cable. Both of which is not available as the time of this review but they should be available late June/early July. The look and color of the HDfury will still be the same just the packaging will be in its respective color and cable.

Dropped a screw and cant reach it or need to hold a wire or LED in place? Zoozen also included a magnetic tweezer to help hold those thin wires or screws that may be too small to hold in your fingers.

    • 55 in 1 Bluetooth Card Reader + Hub
    • USB Cable
    • Driver CD

Quality/Usability : After reviewing the Brando 55-in-1 Card Reader/Writer, we were impressed by the quality as well as how well the device worked. But thought we wanted to review how well this new 55-in-1 card reader/writer is. Not to mention, it is also a USB 2.0 hub and a Bluetooth dongle.

Whats great about the 55-in-1 is that not only does it eliminate all those devices, adapters and cables but its works with any Windows and MAC operating systems. Not to mention, NO drivers needed (except for bluetooth)! The reader/writer is powered by your USB port with no additional power supply and uses USB 2.0. It is also backwards compatible with USB 1.1. When the reader is plugged in, I noticed that under MY COMPUTERS, there were three REMOVABLE DRIVES. When you insert a storage card, a green LED is lit up to let you know it is in use.

I tried various cards from a 4GB Hitachi MicroDrive, to a 256MB SD card, to a 1GB Memory Stick/Pro Duo cards and even the new smaller micro cards, microSD and Sony's M2. All work without any problems and all showed up perfectly and without any adapters! I no longer have to mess with cables or adapters in order to transfer data.

Normally, I connect my digital camera to my computer via USB cable. I tried my 4GB Hitachi MicroDrive with the card reader. The 55 in 1 had no problem reading it. Transferring pictures was just as easy and fast. It only took less than a minute to transfer my pictures to my computer. Mind you, these pictures were taken at 10.1MP and the files size are huge.

So I decided to try my 1GB that I use for my Nintendo Wii. Transferring VGA quality images were fast as well. It didnt take long before it was finished. Usually I would use the MobileMate SD+ adapter to transfer files. Transferring files to the Memory Stick and Pro Duo were the same. With the Pro Duo cards, I no longer had to use the adapter in order for me to transfer data. I just slipped it in and the reader had no problem recognizing the card.

My next test was my microSD and M2 that I used for my cellphones. The two newest memory cards to hit the market for the latest devices. I transferred not only pictures but also music. Transferring data was flawless and no adapter was needed at all unlike my other readers.

No matter what sized storage card I threw at the 55-in-1, it had no problem recognizing the card. You must say to yourself, there are other card readers out there that does the same. Yes, you're right BUT they are usually limited to how big in size it will read your card. My Toshiba laptop has a card reader built-in. Reading small sized memory cards up to 2GB memory cards were not a problem. But when I inserted my 4GB Pro Duo, it didnt read it at all.

Before getting the 55-in-1, I had contacted companies regarding the limitations of how big the storage card it will read and all said 1GB to 2GB at most. That would do me no good since I have 4GB storage cards.

There are three USB ports on the side. Two are used as hubs while the other is used to power a USB device.

Not only is the 55-in-1 a card reader and a USB hub, it also acted as a bluetooth dongle. Pairing bluetooth devices to the card reader was not a problem. My Sony Ericsson w810i did not have a problem finding the reader and neither did the card reader have problems pairing with the phone. Transfer of files were easy and quick.

Conclusion : Overall, the 55-in-1 Bluetooth Card Reader + Hub is a great all-in-one device. Not only is it compatible with the latest operating systems but it accepts 55 different memory cards. It eliminates the use of USB cables for your devices and adapters. You can also transfer files via bluetooth if you have a bluetooth device. When connecting the card reader to a USB port, make sure it is directly to the computer as connecting it to a USB hub would not supply enough power to the card reader.

    Jimi Game Shell Case
    Manufacturer: Mr Smith
    Site: Buy from Jimi
    Price: $9.95

Overview : Jimi™ Game Shell is compact, water resistant and shockproof, and you can attach it to your backpack, lanyard or keyring. Within its recyclable sanoprene liners, each case securely holds two Nintendo DS games, two Wii (SD) cards, or two PSP (ProDuo game or music) cards.

Jimi™ Game Shell's translucent outer skin is made from 100% recycled and recyclable polypropylene. Combined with the cushioning sanoprene lining in planet purple, gunmetal grey, or fire red this splash proof shell makes it ideal for storing your DS and PSP game cards, music or camera memory cards, and it looks really sweet to boot.

Quality/Usability : There have been a couple of vacations where I carried my PSP and DS around with me. Each portable system in its own dedicated case but no place to carry my extra games or memory sticks.

Jimi may be your solution and even mine as well. Jimi is made of durable plastic with sanoprene lining (rubber). You can attach the Jimi to your keyring, bag or string for easy portability. The Jimi is small enough to fit in your pants pocket and light weight that you wont notice it. Jimi comes in three colors of sanoprene lining: Red, Grey or Purple. The plastic shell is all the same clear color.

The sanoprene is removeable. The mold of the sanoprene allows you to hold up to two Pro Duo memory sticks or two SD cards (one on each side) or one of each. Above the memory cards, you can hold two DS games. The memory sticks and DS games are held in place securely. Even if you only had one DS game and the other slot was open and was holding either a Pro Duo or SD, they wont come out unless it was banged on hard.

Conclusion : Overall, the Jimi Game Shell Case is a nice solution to holding your memory sticks and DS games at once and together. I'm not sure if it was my shipment only but it did not come with a keyring like the Jimi Multi-Media Memory Case as that came with a keyring. The price of the Game Shell Case is fairly reasonable as well.

Jimi is made of durable plastic with sanoprene lining (rubber). You can attach the Jimi to your keyring, bag or string for easy portability. The Jimi is small enough to fit in your pants pocket and light weight that you wont notice it. Jimi seems to come in one color, outer black case with light blue sanoprene liner.

The sanoprene is removeable. The mold of the sanoprene allows you to hold one of each on one side but you can hold a combination of the following formats:
    • xD Card
    • SM Card
    • SD Card
    • MMC Card
    • MMC Micro
    • MMC Mobile
    • Mini SD w/Adapter
    • 1" Harddrive
    • MS Pro Duo
    • Memory Stick
    • Compact Flash
    • Compact Flash II
    • Micro SD w/Adapter

The media cards are held in place securely. If there were some slots that were not filled in, the media cards will not come out unless it was banged on hard.

Conclusion : Overall, the Jimi Multi-Media Memory Case is probably the best solution for carrying all your multi-media cards all in one place. Of course, that is if you have that many different media cards to carry around. What I did notice was that microSD w/adapter was mentioned as being able to be held in the Jimi Multi-Media Memory Case, although true, the adapter is actually a SD card. If you wanted to hold microSD card only, there is no designated spot for it. It will be moving around freely. Those who own a DS and PSP, may want to take a look at the Jimi Game Shell Case.

Sumo Omni and Otto Bean Bag Chairs
    Manufacturer: Sumo Lounge
    Site: Buy from Sumo Lounge
    Price: $129.00 (Omni) / $75.00 (Otto) / $50.00 (Beads)

    Overview :
    OMNI
This super-sized pillow by Sumo is the ultimate solution for all your relaxing needs. We've come up with 10 ways to use it, but some people say we lack imagination!

It's a crash mat, lounge chair, loveseat or floor pillow to name a few, but the possibilities really do go on.

Sumo Beanbags are made from space age rip-proof nylon and come filled with top quality Sumo Beads. Omni is 4.5' x 5.5' and it only weighs 18 lbs!

    OTTO
Whether you're looking for a comfy place to rest your feet or a seat in front of the coffee table, the Otto is the perfect accessory to match your space.

Sumo Beanbags are made from space age rip-proof nylon and come filled with top quality Sumo Beads. Otto is 50cm radius and it only weighs only 5 lbs!

    Features : (Omni)
    • Space age, rip proof nylon
    • Little foam beads
    • Huge - 5.5 x 4.5 feet
    • Lightweight
    • Versatile - 10 in 1
    • Colorful
    • Water repellant
    • Stain resistant
    • Easy to clean
    • Incredibly comfortable

Quality/Usability : I have been looking for some type of furniture that would let me lean back, play games or watch TV and be comfortable. Yes, I can do that on my leather/suede couch but its not the same. I have to slouch or lay sideways which makes gaming difficult. I can also use the lazyboy but I'm positioned in one way. I dont have the control or the ability to adjust how I sit according to my mood/comfortability.

Bean bag chairs came into popularity in the 1960s and 1970s as a hip, comfortable new family room or living room seating option. The chairs' construction consists of a large bag made of fabric or plastic that is filled with tiny pieces of styrofoam or PVC beads. The chair is positioned directly on the floor and forms around the contour of the body when seated upon. However, Sumo Lounge has improved on the hip bean bag chairs turning it into a modernized bean bag chair.

The Omni has 10 colors to choose from while Otto is 2 colors shy with 8 colors to choose from. Both are made of rip proof nylon filled with Virgin Polystyrene Foam, also known as little foam beads. Sumo beads are tiny little foam balls, polystyrene foam to be specific, that conform to your body like nothing else. That's what the bean bags so comfortable - the little foam balls. Sumo Lounge says there is 10 ways to use it. Do I agree? Yes. Are there other ways to use the Omni? Only your imagination can tell you and thats probably a yes also.

The Omni was light in weight making portability easy to move around the house even up and down the stairs. I'm 5' 9" and the size was perfect for me. I was able to fit my body nice and snuggly into it. The foam balls contoured my body nicely. On the side is a velcro enclosure. Once you separate the velcro, it will reveal a zipper. This is where all the foam balls are stored. So if you ever need to refill or replace the foam balls, this is where you will do so. The velcro adds extra security in case you forget to close up the zipper or your child from accidentally unzipping it.

The Otto was also light in weight and had a velcro but attached itself to the side of the Otto and a zipper inside. What I did notice was the part of the zipper that we grab onto to zip/unzip, wasnt a full piece. More than half of it was missing. I'm not sure if this was a production mistake or intended to be like this. If it was intended to be cut in half, I dont know what the reason for that was. Maybe this allowed the velcro to cover more of the area? Even so, the velcro overlapped the zipper allowing it to prevent access to zipper or the foam beads.

Conclusion : Overall, Sumo Omni and Otto Bean Bag Chairs were very durable and a perfect size. The Omni contoured my body nicely. Once I was situated in a position, I did not move around. I probably could of stayed in that one position for hours. Although the Omni is perfect for one person, you can try and squeeze in a second person. Granted, there wont be a lot of room, but will bring you closer to your loved one. It was so comfy that both my sister and my girlfriend passed out on the Omni.

The Otto(man) with the combination of the Omni makes the perfect "couch" with footrest. The Otto is a perfect height. The Otto isnt filled completely with foam balls and is not stiff so it will contour your foot slightly but not enough where your foot will sink into it. You can also use the Omni as a little stool to sit on. I personally would of preferred it to be a little stiffer.

However, since its made of nylon, you'll be making some sound while moving around. It would be nice if Sumo Lounge offered a suede or cloth version.

    *UPDATE*
It seems to me that I received a defective Otto. The zipper handle was not suppose to be cut off. Also, upon closer inspection, even though the zipper is completely closed, the other end of the zipper is open. Luckily, the velcro prevents any foam balls from coming out. But if you ever have a problem, Sumo provides a six month guarantee on material composition, seams and Velcro/zipper closure. I contacted Sumo Lounge in regards to the problem and they have been quick to responding to my emails.

Griffin iFM Radio Remote Control PSP
    Manufacturer: Griffin Technology
    Site: Buy from Griffin
    Price: $24.99

Overview : The iFM Radio Tuner and Remote Control integrates FM radio tuning and remote control functionality to the PSP, all in a tiny enclosure.

It features a large, easy to read LED for FM tuning, a pass-through port for headphones, and a clip for comfortable use.

The integrated remote includes essential controls for easy media playback and functionality. Using the single button switch, listeners can enjoy their favorite FM stations or control music right off their PSP.

    Technical Specifications :
    • U.S. Tuning Range: 87.9 MHz - 107.9 MHz in 200kHz intervals
    • European Tuning Range: 87.9 MHz - 108.0 MHz in 100kHz intervals
    • Japanese Tuning Range: 76.0 MHz - 90.0 MHz in 100kHz intervals
    • Audio Frequency Response: 20Hz – 15kHz
    • Volume Steps: 16
    • Max Output Power: 20mW each into 32 ohm speakers
    • RF Sensitivity: 2μVEMF
    • Max Signal-to-Noise Ratio: 57dB
    • Stereo Separation: 27dB
    • Total Harmonic Distortion: 0.4%

Quality/Usability : This is the second FM radio remote that we reviewed. But of course, Griffin is a more recognized company for their accessories on the PSP and iPod. So how does this fair with the no-name brand FM radio remote?

The iFM PSP comes in a blister pack and the remote looks nice and I mean NICE! The remote has a switch on top for RADIO and REMOTE. On the face of the remote is an indicator for US, INTL (European) and JP (Japanese). There is a LED display on the front that displays the radio station and to the right of that is the Navigation Wheel that has the directional pad for volume, PLAY/PAUSE, Fast Forward and Rewind. The FF and RW also acts as a FM radio channel selector.

The iFM PSP measures 24mm x 70mm x 13mm (excluding beltclip). Due to the size, the remote has a little bit of weight to it (0.06oz). On the back of the remote is a nice big clip. The radio has three ranges, US, European and Japanese with each having its own frequency range.

    Radio Mode
To listen to the radio, you slide the Mode Switch to RADIO to enter Radio Mode. Press and release the RW and FF buttons to step through the FM tuning band. Or hold them down to scan continuously.

Hold the PLAY/PAUSE button for several seconds to select among 3 different tuning ranges. The Tuning Range Indicator will light up to tell you whether you are in U.S., European, or Japanese tuning range.

Unfortunately, there is no presets for your radio stations. This is a must for any radio but this was neglected. In order to change stations or volume, your PSP must be on and not on sleepmode.

    Remote Mode
To listen to the PSP, you slide the Mode Switch to REMOTE and your iFM becomes a handy remote control. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to play or pause. Use the FF or RW buttons to go to the next or previous tracks. While you're in Remote Mode, iFM's display will read "PSP." While in Remote Mode, if the PSP is shut down or put to sleep, iFM will enter Sleep Mode, as well.

    Volume Buttons
To increase or decrease the volume, you use the + and - buttons to step through 10 volume levels. 0 is mute; 10 is full volume.

The sound quality is pretty clear and loud. The FM gives some bass to the music as if you were listening to it directly from your PSP.

Conclusion : Overall, the Griffin iFM PSP is a very nice FM radio remote. But the remote lacks some major necessities such as preset radio stations, ability to use the radio while the PSP is in sleep mode and no ON/OFF button. I use the iFM while I am at work and having to leave the PSP on at all times in order for me to change stations can be troublesome not to mention having to change the PSPs setting to allow it to stay on at all times. Having to hold the FF or RW just to change stations is annoying as well. I prefer just a click of a button to scroll through my saved radio stations. And when you're not using the iFM, you need to unplug it from the PSP. Had these three features been added, this would of been hands down the best FM radio remote. But at least they included a little pouch to store your iFM PSP.

Max Power X5 Battery 3600mAh (Slim)
    Manufacturer: Dragonplus
    Site : Buy from Shop.01Media
    Price: $28.18

Overview : The Max Power X5 Battery Pack offers 5 times the power of the original battery.

Want the most powerful battery on PSP and PSP Slim and Lite? It comes with a special design battery cover to fit the PSP or PSP Slim and Lite. For long gaming sessions away from home!

    Features :
    • Easy set-up use
    • Can stand-by 168 hours
    • Comes with special design battery cover
    • Supply power to PSP Slim and Lite console for over 48 hours
    • Compatible with any version of PSP/PSP Slim and Lite
    • Long life, mega power, recycle rechargeable battery built-in

Quality/Usability : You can always expect a high capacity battery to be released for any portable electronic device. The standard mAh for the PSP Slim is 1200mAh. Well, Dragonplus aims to TRIPLE, thats right! They released a battery that is 3 TIMES the mAh of the normal PSP Slim battery known as Max Power X5 Battery Pack. It packs a whopping 3600mAh.

With big batteries, comes big bulk. Adding the battery and battery cover does add some bulk to the back of the PSP. The battery cover works for both the original PSP and PSP Slim. This big battery gives an approximate 48 hours of play time and 168 hours of stand-by.

However, upon testing battery life, the PSP Slim lasted a little longer than its predecessor. The original PSP lasted about 44 hours of play time while the Slim lasted a little more than 45 hours *settings where set to its lowest brightness, lowest volume for gameplay as well as screen off and normal volume for MP3 listening. Fairly close to what Dragonplus claims. But if you're using the battery at your normal playing brightness and volume, battery life will drastically drop to about 15-18 hours. Setting it to the highest setting in both brightness and volume, you can expect about 12-14 hours of play. Yes, that is a big drop.

I personally prefer official licensed batteries or products in general but sometimes these 3rd party batteries work just as good as the official products. So far, I dont think I have experienced any major problems with these 3rd party batteries. Makes you wonder why these 3rd party manufacturers can release a battery that is 3x's the amount of the original but the actual manufacturer that makes the device cant release their own official 3x batteries.

Conclusion : Overall, the Max Power X5 Battery 3600mAh (Slim) worked for both original PSP as well as PSP Slim. Play time hours were a little shy of what Dragonplus claims to supply (48 hours) *settings where set to its lowest brightness, lowest volume for gameplay as well as screen off and normal volume for MP3 listening. The Max Power X5 Battery 3600mAh did feel a little cheap in quality. Price for the battery is fairly reasonable. I still favor OEM batteries.

    Krusell Leather Gamic Multidapt
    Manufacturer: Krusell
    Site: Buy from Krusell
    Price: $29.95

Overview : The tailor-made Gamic Multidapt® leather case combines functionality and design. Cutouts makes it easy to access all function buttons, etc.

You can store both your memory sticks and an extra UMD disc in the case. Made in Nappa leather of the best quality, and form factor. A must have for the serious gamer!

    Features :

Quality/Usability : Krusell's tailor-made leather case for the new Sony PSP-1000 is now here. The PSP-1000 Gamic Multidapt® case combines functionality and design in a new unique way. All functions have easy access, and you can store both your memory sticks and an extra disc in the case.

The Gamic Multidapt® case uses Krusell's patented Multidapt® flexible personal and vehicle mounting system. Choose the option that's right for you from the Multidapt® accessories. The Spring Clip is included with the case.

This is probably the best looking leather case I have reviewed yet. Not only is it stylish but its also convenient. You can mount this to your car dash, bike, belt, etc. The leather case has openings easily accessible for the directional pad, buttons, UMD button, bottom face buttons as well as the memory stick port and Power button. Whats also nice about this is that it has little holes cut out so you can see the LED lights for the power, memory stick port and wireless LAN.

The case pretty much consists of two pieces. One holds the PSP itself and the other is the flap cover that covers the screen of the PSP as well as holding a UMD disc and your memory sticks. The flap cover snaps onto the PSP case via buttons. There are four on the back (two on each side) and one on each side of the bottom. This is where the flap locks into place when you're no longer using the PSP. Whats also great about this case is that it has a clear plastic covering that protects the PSP screen while it is in the case.

There is one small button on the right side of the case. This allows you to place the PSP into the case. Once inside the case, you can snap the buttons together. Once the PSP is in the case, it fits snuggly and all the openings are aligned perfectly.

On the back of the flap, it houses a clipping mechanism. This is where you attach the Multidapt® accessories. You can clip the PSP to a spring swivel clip, a bike mount, belt clip, car mount, etc.

Conclusion : This is probably the best quality leather case I have ever reviewed. The PSP fits snuggly and all buttons and features are easily accessible. Only complaint is that it leaves the directional pad and buttons open to accidental hits and dust. You can use the case pratically anywhere. With the different clips, straps, swivels and vehicle attachments to choose from, it expands the use of the product. This is the only company I buy leather cases from. Quality is great and lasts long plus, it looks sleek. If you got the cash and in the market for a leather case..PICK THIS UP!
