[Wiz] 2nd GP32Spain Wiz programming contest

GP32Spain presents its second contest Wiz GP2X programming.

Attention: These bases are a draft and may undergo some changes in the coming days.
Bases in Spanish. Shortly be published in English bases.

The competition is divided into two separate categories, each of which will have its own awards.

Category 1: Games
First prize: 25% of the cumulative total of money.
Second prize: 15% of the cumulative total of money.
Third prize: 10% of the cumulative total of money.

Category 2: Emulators
First prize: 25% of the cumulative total of money.
Second prize: 15% of the cumulative total of money.
Third prize: 10% of the cumulative total of money.

Deadline to send the game: July 15

Contest

Category 1: Games

Games will only accept the following genres:
* Beat 'em up
* Shot 'em up
* Platforms
* Musical (based on music or that music represents an important part of their development).

The games can be programmed specifically for GP2X Wiz or being developed for players like Fenix. In any case should include everything needed to run directly on the GP2X Wiz. NOT accept games in flash format.

The games should be compatible with the latest firmware available for GP2X Wiz.

Each participant may submit as many games as you want, but only eligible for one prize.

Games will not be accepted and previously published in GP2X Wiz. Must be new titles or updates for other systems that have not yet been ported to GP2X Wiz.

The games may not be published until the contest has ended and winners have been announced. If a game is released before, will be disqualified immediately.

The maximum size accepted for the games is 2GB.

Games less than 40MB must be sent by e-mail webmaster ((at)) gp32spain.com. For games with more than 40MB, the programmer must write the same e-mail to provide you FTP access to send it. It is imperative that the issue of e-mail is GP32Spain Contest.

Along with the game must be included 2 sacks in the game.
You must also include a file "info.txt" with the following information:
- Name of the work submitted.
- Brief description of the game and manual.
- Nick / Name of the programmer.
- E-mail contact.




Category 2: Emulators
It will accept both new and emulators emulators already published.
When assessing the entries, will take into account developments including emulators for the final version to be published before the contest.

Be taken into account the following characteristics in order of importance:
1 .- New emulators.
2 .- (existing emulators): Overall improvement in performance / speed of the emulator.
3 .- (existing emulators): Support for new games / chips / systems.
4 .- (existing emulators): New options, as SaveState, etc.
5 .- (existing emulators): GUI enhancements and additional menus.
6 .- (existing emulators): Other additions.

The emulators should not include files or commercial games. If necessary some kind of bios for its operation, must be clearly indicated in the file info.txt

The emulators should be compatible with the latest firmware available for GP2X Wiz.

Each participant may submit as many emulators as you want, but only eligible for one prize.

When assessing the emulators only take into account the developments regarding the latest public version. If the developer announces the emulator before the contest is finished, only assessed the news that had the version of the competition on the public version.

The emulators should be sent by e-mail webmaster ((at)) gp32spain.com. It is imperative that the issue of e-mail is GP32Spain Contest.

Along with the emulator must include a file "info.txt" with the following information:
- Name and version of the emulator presented.
- What's new on the emulator incorporating the latest public version.
- Description of the emulator and brief manual.
- Nick / Name of the programmer.
- E-mail contact.


Additional information about the contest
Participants may participate in the two categories independently and qualify for a prize in each of them.

The jury will consist of 5 persons will be announced upon receipt of all jobs.

Participants from outside of Spain should have a mandatory PayPal account where they would receive the prize if you win.

If sufficient securities are not received for any of the two categories of the contest or its level is considered too low, the organization reserves the right to declare the awards more deserts, in which case the value of prizes will add to the awards in the other category.
