GP2XMB is an alternative launcher for the GP2X, with the same visual layout as the Cross Media Bar.
The GP2XMB launcher revision 05 update includes the following:
Settings Added support for disabling the photo preview icons. Go to [Photo Settings] in the [Settings] menu and select the Disabled option from the [Photo Preview] sub menu, to disable the icons.
You can now switch between two different button layouts. From [System Settings] in the [Settings] menu, select between Default and GP2X Style in the [Button Layout] sub menu. The Default option makes X the OK button and B the cancel/back button. The GP2X Style option does the direct opposite, X is cancel and B is OK.
To speed up you daily routine you can now select which menu that should be the default (selected) one when GP2XMB starts up. In the [System Settings] menu found under the [Settings] menu, selected the sub menu labeled [Default Menu]. You can there select between which of the five top level menus that should be selected when GP2XMB starts up.
For the very impatient user, GP2XMB now features an option to disable the Outro which plays whenever an application is launched. Go into the [Settings] menu and select [System Settings] and then [Launcher Outro]. Switch the option to Disabled to disable the Outro sequence.
You can now also disable the sound effects by going into the [Sound Settings] menu located under [Settings], and select the [Sound Effect] sub menu. Switch the option to Disabled to disable all sound effects, (music can still be played using the Music Player).
Game The old game browser solution has been abandoned in favour of a more structured solution. Both SD and NAND browsing is now a manual task, as the automatic application finder was not quick enough to satisfy some users. From the manual browser you can press the Y button to bring up an option menu where you can add applications to the [My Shortcuts] list. Accessing this shortcut list is much faster than the old solution and it also gives you more freedom.
