Apple remains the market's most valuable app store in terms of average spend. But for every $1 spent on the iTunes App Store, 89c is spent on the Amazon AppStore, while just 23c is spent with Google Play.
The new stats, from analyst Flurry, reflect the good progress made by the Amazon AppStore, given its recent entry into the market and its relatively small app catalogue.
The Amazon AppStore sells Android-only apps and has 31,000 to choose from.
iOS, of course, recently passed 25 billion iOS app downloads from its library of over 550,000 apps.
Meanwhile, Google Play has had over ten billion app downloads from a library of over 400,000 apps.
