Users on the PlayStation Network have been reporting some serious issues regarding PlayStation Network code generator websites, these generator websites have reportedly hacked into people's personal info through PSN. Unfortunately, our Ironstar comrade Dom Guerrera was a victim of this new attack against PlayStation Network users. In his situation a credit card stored on his account was charged around $350 worth of PlayStation Network content that he didn't authorize. There has been a slew of chain letters circling around the PlayStation Network with URLs linking to these code generator websites; it is believed that these websites are loop hole hacks to obtain your personal information, opening them could be dangerous. Inside of the chain letter reported to effect your PlayStation Network account there is a link to a code generator website for "free" PlayStation Network content. Details on this situation are still coming in, we have contacted Sony for a response.

If you believe you have opened one of these tainted messages immediately do the following:
Delete your credit card information off of your PlayStation Network account using the official PlayStation website.
Change your email and password for your PlayStation Network account using the official PlayStation Network website.
Contact Sony PlayStation customer service 1800-345-7669, also contact your credit or debit card customer service representative.
Check your email tied to your PlayStation Network account for suspicious purchases.
As a precaution to these unknown hacks on against PlayStation Network users we recommend that you:
Delete any random chain messages, even if they are from friends. There is a way to view a small segment of messages sent to you on the PlayStation Network. If you suspect a message to be a chain letter containing the hack view the message (WITHOUT OPENING IT) by pressing (x) twice on the sent user's profile.
Block users who send you chain messages.
Contact Dom Guerrera through his profile if you think your situation is similar to his.

    *Update*
This issue does not involve general chain letters sent around PSN, the article is referring to chain letters containing PSN code generator website URLs specifically. Our colleague did not enter any credit card information into any malicious website. His PSN account information including his credit card info was somehow obtained through the PlayStation Network, because he opened the message sent to him. More PSN users have stepped forward and reported suspicious purchases appearing on their billing transactions. If you haven't noticed any suspicious activity on your account but you have opened one of these specific chain messages or went to a malicious code generator website on your PS3 we strongly recommend that you take precautions.

Brain training games do nothing to keep the mind nimble, according to Cambridge University researchers.
The scientists concluded that while we get better at the complex computer exercises with practice, there is no evidence that this is of any use in everyday life.
Healthy middle-aged people would do more for their brain by eating a salad, going for a stroll or taking up ballroom dancing, experts said.
Endorsement by the likes of Nicole Kidman and Patrick Stewart has helped make brain training a multi-million-pound industry but studies into how well it works have given conflicting results.
Faced with the tantalising prospect that simple puzzles of maths, memory and logic could keep the mind sharp into old age - and even help stave off dementia - the researchers sought to come up with a definitive answer.
Working with the BBC's Bang Goes The Theory programme, more than 11,000 healthy men and women aged between 18 and 60 were set a battery of highly-sensitive memory tests.
Some were then given a series of brain training games to play for at least ten minutes a day, three times a week.
The others were set general knowledge questions and asked to find the answers by surfing the internet.

    News via http://retroactionmagazine.com/retro...ebay-scammers/

Have you noticed that magazine scan DVD sellers seem to be breeding on eBay? We have and are really getting sick of it all. These magazines remain copyrighted to the original publisher, whether they are still around or not, and they are definitely not “public domain” as one seller has laughably stated. The real kick here is that these scans are not even the work of these sellers and the majority of them were done by Mort at his own website at Zzap Zzuperstore and can also be found hosted around various magazine preservation websites for free. So with the only cost being the blank DVDs, these sellers are making between £5.00 and even up to £30.00 profit on each auction.

Well, we think enough is enough and it’s time to hit back. Remember, these people have no permission to sell these scans and don’t even have permission from the person who scanned them. I’ve already reported around 30 auctions from four different sellers. Yes, 30 auctions from 4 sellers. However, we all know that this is just the start. eBay may ignore this as a one off and just warn the seller. That’s where you come in. If you were a huge fan of these magazines then you owe it to yourself to report these copyrighted infringing auctions, again and again.

To make reporting the auctions that little bit easier I have included their user ids, links to their auctions and example reporting descriptions.

eBay has a long winded reporting system, but don’t let that put you off. Here’s what I’ve been reporting these DVDs as, but feel free to use your own method. To help the cause, feel free to send this announcement on to like minded people.

Report Item -> Counterfeit and breaches copyright -> Bootleg and counterfeit media -> Media on Recordable formats (CD-R, DVD-R, VHS tape, etc.)

    Brief Description:

Mags remain copyright of Newsfield Publications. Seller has no permission to sell scans.
Mags remain copyright of www.emap.com. Seller has no permission to sell scans.
Mags remain copyright of Future Publishing-www.futureplc.com. Seller has no permission to sell scan
Mags remain copyright of Dennis Publishing-www.dennis.co.uk Seller has no permission to sell scans.
Mags remain copyright of original owners. Seller has no permission to sell scans.
All media on these DVDs remain copyright of original owners. Auction infringes ebay policies.

My, how you've grown. Since the day we learned that PrimeSense was behind Microsoft's Project Natal, we've been under the impression that the 3D camera hardware would be a cute little face with three eyes. So why are we staring at another hammerhead shark? Perhaps because this latest leak isn't real -- or perhaps because Microsoft hasn't nailed down (or rightly doesn't trust testers with) the final hardware. Either way, Multiplayer.it has a host of pictures of an alleged Natal test kit, complete with user manual, and if their sources are legit, it seems Natal will have a motorized tilt function and require additional power (via wall wart) as a result. The better to track your body with, we suppose.

Apple might not be too happy about having a fourth-gen iPhone prototype be stolen, but there's nothing like cold, hard cash to turn a frown upside-down -- and the company certainly made plenty of it in the second quarter of 2010, posting a $3.07b profit on $13.5b in revenue. That's the Apple's best non-holiday quarter ever -- profits were up 90 percent while revenue was up 49 percent -- and yet another record quarter for Steve and the gang. Mac sales were up 33 percent from a year ago with 2.94m units sold, iPhone sales were up 131 percent with 8.75m units sold, and iPod sales were down one point with 10.89m units sold. We're just about to jump on the analyst conference call, we'll let you know if we hear anything good -- we wonder what people might be asking about?

What's the surest sign that robots aspire to be more like humans? They play video games. The Tetris-Bot operates completely without human interference to play games of old school Tetris on a computer. Creator Branislov Kisacanin patched together a webcam, a digital signaling processing board, and some NXT Lego as a fun educational project for his kids.

Epiphany is a multi-platform clone of Boulderdash (aka Emerald Mine on the Amiga) made with the SDL library. The player must collect all valuable minerals scattered in levels, avoiding being hit by a stone, or (even worse) by a bomb.
