Tri-ace's mystery RPG project, announced on April 1st, got its full unveiling today through Famitsu. Continuing the naming tradition of Infinite Undiscovery, the next title from the company is titled End of Eternity. And in a surprise move, the publisher of this multiplatform PS3 and Xbox 360 RPG won't by Square Enix, but Sega!

End of Eternity takes place far in the future on an Earth whose environment has gotten so bad that people have moved into a giant mechanized tower called Bazel. This tower reaches far up into the sky. The upper floors house religious facilities, including the religious leader who's known as the "Cardinal," and the rich. The lower floors house the poor as well as mining areas.

Bazel's creation is far in the past as the game kicks off. We're introduced to three characters: the 17-year-old male Zaphyr, the 26-year-old male Vashyron, and the 19-year-old female Subject #20. Zaphyr, the game's main character, and Vashyron live together and work for a private military firm. Subject #20 was manufactured for an experiment which required that she be set to die at 20 years of age. Upon learning how little she has to live, she fled her research facility.

Gameplay in End of Eternity is split between fields spanning the floors of Bazel and the dungeons that are located on those floors. These two areas of the game have different movement systems. In the fields, you view the action from an overhead view and move your party about on a hexagonal grid, encountering enemies at random. During dungeons, you move your character about in third person and can see your enemies in advance, transitioning seamlessly into battle when spotted.

The battle system (this appears to be shared between both fields and dungeons) takes place in semi-realtime and gives you control of one character out of a three character party. When you're moving about on the battle field, time progresses as you engage in flashy gun fights. Once your move ends, time freezes, allowing you to strategically plan your attack.

There's still a lot of mystery surrounding the battle system, and all of End of Eternity for that matter. Details will presumably be more abundant on Friday as the game's official site opens up at eoe.sega.jp. Sega and Tri-Ace will be putting up movies and more at that site, so those who love their JRPG should definitely check it out.

Prototype, the promising looking open-world superhuman game from Activision, has been given a firm release date, coming to European shores on June 5 with a North American release shortly after on June 9.

Starring shape-shifting superhuman Alex Mercer, Prototype looks to be a particularly inventive take on the increasingly busy open-world genre.

We last saw Prototype at this year's New York Comic Con, and we'll be bringing you the latest details on the game later today.

    Flash Spacer V1 By alex_e

Tested on 5.00m33-4 on a psp phat

    changelog
    V1
added back-up function, automatically backs up original files before removal or flashing of custom/original files.

this application lets you unistall location free player and reinstall it when you like by its back-up system. when ever you unistall/remove a file, it makes a back-up of the file/s in PSP/GAME/Flash Spacer V1/Back-Up/
it is important that you do not rename any of the folders as flash spacer then wont be able to make a back-up.

    Installation

copy Flash Spacer V1 to PSP/GAME

this will run in the other game folders but will not make a back-up just yet, that will be added later.

this should also run the slim, but with any programs that access the flash beware.

in future releases, you may end up with a semi-brick by flashing a corrupt file.
if this happens, go to the recovery menu, retrieve the back-up from ms0:/PSP/GAME/Flash Spacer V1/Back-Up
and restore it to its original location in the flash.

NickD has released a new Beats of Rage Mod that should be playable on PSP/GP2X/Dreamcast with some tinkering:

Phantasy Star Online.. if you dumped me on an island and left me only one video game to play, I'd probably choose that one. PSO just may be my all-time favorite game, so needless to say I had a lot of fun whipping this mod up.

    ~Game Mode~

As of now there is only one that has a (short) stage. It is based off of Forest 1 of Episode I from the official game.

    ~Controls~

This mod uses the attack, special, and jump buttons.

Recommended control layout for PSP (Xbox and DC users should have similiar setups):
    Attack1 - Square
    Special - Triangle
    Jump - Cross/X

Remember to set these controls in Options->Control Options->Setup Player #!

    ~Characters~

There are 3 characters to choose from. Below is a list of them and their moveset:

    (Key Legend)
    A - Attack button
    S - Special button
    J - Jump button
    U - Up on the D-Pad/Directional keys/Analog pad
    D - Down on the D-Pad/Directional keys/Analog pad

    (Example)
AAA - Press the Attack button 3 times.

    -HUmar-
AAA - Main attack string. Third hit launches enemy forward.
AS/AAS - Mid-combo attack. A powerful hit that launches enemies forward very far.
S - Zonde (lightning spell). Attacks at a set range, does little damage but stuns the enemy. Takes 25 MP to use.
JS - Jumpattack. Knocks enemies down.
UU/DD - Dodge in the direction you pressed (UU dodges up, etc).

    -RAmarl-
AAA - Main attack string. Shoots non-knockdown bullets each attack.
S - Grenade launcher. Powerful with short range.

    -HUcast-
AAA - Main attack string. Third hit launches enemy forward.
AS/AAS - Mid-combo attack. Powerful hit that launches enemies upward.
S - An attack that can hit enemies on both sides of the player.
JS - Jumpattack. Knocks enemies down.
UU/DD - Dodge in the direction you pressed (DD dodges down, etc).

    ~OpenBOR Version~
I personally tested this on OpenBOR 2.2038. It should work fine on all later versions as well.

    To-Do List:
    -Make HUnewearl
-Crop Principals speech images so that the text is actually readable *This is something I really don't feel like doing but will anyways, as it's like 30+ images we're talking here.
    -Possibly make Barbarous Wolf(sp?)
    -Make items (monomate/fluids)
    -Finish up Forest 1

    News/release from zeroXorXdieXskater

I've been out of the scene for a while but now I'm back with a release of my new game Smash My PSP!

Smash My PSP! is a game in which you use different weapons and tools to destroy and decorate your PSP's main menu.

    current version v3.1

This game features the ability to switch between different "weapons" to "decorate" your XMB.
You can also change the background or put your own in so you can change it up a bit.
Of course you can also make a screenshot of your masterpiece with ease.

The foundation for this game is basically finished, further releases will most likely feature weapon and background updates.

I decided to release this right now because spring break is almost over and im going to have little time to work on this.

    v3.1
    -changed phaser slightly
    -added pistol
    -changed loading screen
    -recoded alot
    -multi color gun fix
-implementing in sound (add more possibly)
