The Last Coho is inspired by the artwork of the First Nations in the American Pacific North West. The Coho is a type of salmon common in this area of world. These salmon return every year to the rivers of the Pacific North West and have to struggle up stream to reach the spawning grounds. However, our hero "The Last Coho" was left behind and now must make it up stream before the river freezes for the winter, meanwhile fighting against currents and obstacles and avoiding the many predators along the way.
    Controls:
Guide our little Coho friend using the Touchscreen. Holding the stylus on the screen in front of the Salmon will cause him to swim towards the stylus, the further away from the Salmon you touch, the faster he will swim.

Tapping on the Touchscreen (or pressing up on the +Control Pad) will cause the Salmon to jump. If you are left-handed you can also use the x Button to jump.

The well respected French dev site, DevFR have today posted an article on the sickness of the PSP Scene, heres the article via google translation:

You may not be aware of what happened in the PSP scene these days, if you are you can still play but n'embêtez your friends ... In any case Professor Pyroh will have to decipher it all for you.

    In the beginning

The PSP is marketed since 2004 and is the version 1.00 firmware that could begin to run homebrews, so quickly after its release. Then they swore not more than 1.50 firmware which really allowed to do everything as we wanted. But some had updated their PSP as construction and could not therefore benefit from the underground scene. Flaws were discovered (in the lib tiff it seems to me) and saw the HEN (Homebrew Enabler for) that would do almost the same but with manipulation to make first. It was a bit wobbly, some have their beautiful brick PSP gained for the price of a kidney and half the time, he needed an alternative, more sustainable and simple.

Arriving on his white horse, Dark_Alex, who had already done some stuff above-proposes a method for the PSP downgrader and return to good and beautiful firmware 1.50. This has 3 effects on the small world the PSP is to allow everyone to enjoy the scene, for its PSP Bricker more easily and bring down the price of 1.50 on ebay while also showing more models in a perfect state of brick.

The 1.50 was good but it was a time, it was not all "progress" of other more advanced firmwares. Essential features of the web browser rapellant how it was good to surf the net in 1997 and how Sony's engineers were wrong in terms of virtual keyboard. It was not counting on the PS1 emulation which appeared with the + / -3.00, it had to be done. Dark_Alex and Roy (yes, Roy, on the horse is the Prince, he married Princess and jumps and takes the throne, logic) asked his blessing once again and released the first custom firmware, a rainy Thursday.

Custom Firmware or CF is like a 1.50 but with 3.00 in it. Basically we get the interesting thing in version 2 and are mixed to make a super firmware that allows running homebrew (and ISOs too, I assure you) but, and it is good, it also incorporates the killer Sony made in feature! It was at first, now do FC after more than 1.50 in, you must install it separately as a plugin.

All this was great and everything went for mieu in the best of worlds, we had our PSP was everything we wanted and we had better not need to pay 3 of interesting games 'Then, on the Memory Stick ... Brickées the PSP and their owners were crying. Dark_Alex has disappeared and he said I quit. No serious M33 the Russian team took over the baton some time later.

    A new wind

It came from the east wind, it was again called M33, it emerged as the new firmware King Dark_Alex or not ... In fact it was he who was behind all this, the rascal. In short, as in "The Return of the King" he returned. It was a gentle breeze, in fact, the real blow for change came when we realized that we had at Sony planqué of something in the battery for the valuable débricker PSP came SAV (all paying huh ).

Today is born the Pandora battery and Magic MS (also a Thursday). It would débriquer any PSP but also to install the firmware we wanted it, freedom, true! Once served by our friend Dark_Alex everything went very well. And the PSP Slim & Lite (PSP 2000) has arrived. Ben, in fact we do not care the Pandora's also walked over, no worries. Thereafter Dark_Alex released their kit Despertar Del Cimentario (yes it is a bit from there) which made things easier, the Swiss Army knife for PSP wholesale, and its firmware. You can do anything with downgrade, débrick, coffee and tea. It was beautiful.

This is where ca se corse

Another Thursday the PSP 3000 came and there was the tragedy. Sony has finally understood that its PSP was hackée to stem the evil and that "pirates" unofficial top for far too long! The kit Pandora did not work above, no custom firmware, forced to stay on as official said, obliged to pay its games (I exaggerate not there). The situation seemed desperate qu'allait take Roy for his kingdom? Ben, like all monarchs installed too: making shit to show who is the head.

    The winds of discord

At the time firmware 3.XX we saw coming _HellDashX_ new on the scene and, oh heresy, walking on the beds of the government. Released a firmware 3.72HX who sparked a controversy. The author had it, as claimed Dark_Alex only stole the job to him and changed a little bit to make sure the files fame and fortune? Frankly we do not care a bit, the user is a winner with the opening to competition and the 3.72 was shunned by Dark_Alex who did not 3.72CF version. Nevertheless _HellDashX_ was hated by the scene and its firmware scrapped.

It is well to be a sort of supremacy of DA (Dark_Alex) at the scene PSP, despite the attempts to justify _HellDashX_ did nothing and the people remain attached to DA, he was right to say whatever _HellDashX_ was wrong and was a dirty thief saint of work and deserved to be hanged high and short! It would seem that he has stolen anything at all and he has worked as a single.

It's the site pspgen.com who threw another big stone into the pond Royal. Remember PSPGEN is an open site for some time and met the French PSP scene. There are other sites available gen

    Updated release from Sinman

Horror Vacui is a two player abstract strategy board game based on the antiquated notion that "Nature abhors a vacuum." It's my first original game design and first attempt at game programming.

    Gameplay
Each player is assigned an element, Water or Earth. Players takes turns placing cards representing their element until the board (called the Vacuum) is full.

Each card can have one of three temperatures chosen at random: Normal (green border) or one of two extremes, Hot (orange border) or Cold (blue border). When placed on the board a card's temperature is transferred to any adjacent cards.

A normal card has no effect on adjacent cards
Opposite extremes cancel each other out and normalize the temperature of both cards
Identical extremes result in the removal of the adjacent card and normalization of the incoming card
Adjacent normal cards assume the temperature of the incoming card, normalizing the incoming card
If there are no adjacent cards then there is no change to the incoming card's temperature (eg. a Hot card stays hot)
A player may sacrifice an extreme card to normalize an opposing extreme already on the board.

Players may also randomly draw an Ice Age or Inferno Event Card. The player drawing an Event Card loses their turn and the entire board is affected by the extreme temperature change as if they were adjacent to an incoming card of the event's temperature.

The game is over when the board is full. The player with the most Normal cards on the filled board wins. In the event of a tie, the player with the most cards overall wins.

    Newly released over at Consolesource

The Wasabi Team has just introduced the Wasabi Zero, a new solderless Wii mod chip. The Wasabi Zero is literally a snap to install with its custom solderless adapter. Order the Wasabi Zero today for only $54.95 from ConsoleSource.com.
    Features:

Easy installation - It has never been easier to install a Wii modchip. Connect the solderless adapter to the chip using the connector, plug it on the drive chip, and start playing. Alternatively, solder version is also available for those who wish to do a regular installation (5 or 6 wires depending on drive version, no pin soldering required).

Quality - Wasabi V2 and V3 have been known to most installers as the most solid chips on the market. Wasabi Zero will be no exception and features a thicker PCB, ultra-clean routing and a solid wide pitch connector for the solderless adapter.

Flexibility - As Wasabi Zero is fully compatible with the original Wasabi, they share the same firmware and you’ll get all the usual benefits including proven Drivecode, DVD Updates and Configuration Disc. But that’s not all. Wasabi Zero can be fully reprogrammed using JTAG.

Price - The only complaint we’ve got from users regarding original Wasabi has been its price. We reworked our price structure, you’ll be able to get the ultimate chip for a very reasonable price.

By releasing the original Wasabi without JTAG, we made it clear that users should not require external programmers, and that they can fully update their chip using DVD, and we still stand by this philosophy. Still, JTAG upgradability is something that installers kept asking for, to manage their stock without fear of a new drive revision. It is for them that we included this feature.

The first batch of Wasabi Zero is currently being manufactured. Release date will be announced soon, stay tuned! ...

    What is GrafX2? ?!

It's a bitmap paint program that allows you to draw in more than 60 video resolutions (from 320x200 to 1024x768, including most of the standard Amiga resolutions : 320x256, 320x512, 640x256, 640x512, etc... provided your videocard knows how to handle them). It was written to run under DOS, but the code you'll find here was modified to use SDL and modern operating systems.

This program is dedicated to everybody who knows what a single pixel is. Its layout is not very different from the famous Deluxe Paint or Brilliance, so it will be quite easy to handle it if you know at least one of these programs. If you aren't used to the art of drawing with up to 256 colors, it will be a little more difficult for you, but you should give it a try (or more, because most of the power of this program won't show up on the first try). Then, you might eventually like to draw the oldskool way with GrafX2?.

The program, although still unfinished (but perfectly operational) offers all the useful tools you can expect from a bitmap paint program (if they aren't already available, they will be). We took most of the best ideas from other paint programs and added many other original and very useful tools, just to try to bring you the best 256-color bitmap paint program for PC. It's up to you to decide if we have succeeded, so please download it, try it and make your own opinion. By the way, it's FREEWARE and open source !

The gp2x port is actively maintained by the Grafx2 project team, so please report bugs to us so we can improve the program !

Father and three-year-old daughter subjected to pornography whilst playing UNO on Xbox Live.

What game is more innocent than UNO? The classic children's card game was brought to Xbox Live Arcade by Carbonated Games and Microsoft Game Studios in 2006. The game offers multiplayer for up to four, where players can drop in and out of games at any point.

UNO also supports the Xbox Live Vision camera, which allows opponents to view an image of other players whilst playing the game. What better game to help demonstrate the family fun of Xbox Live?

One helpful brother explains how he was showing his sister how to play an online Xbox Live game by creating an open UNO game. His Xbox Live Vision camera was turned on - showing him, his sister, and his three-year-old daughter sitting on his lap.

    What happens next is unbelievable. A fellow player with camera capability joins the game. The player goes about playing porn on his PC, then points his camera at the pornographic images and leaves it there for all other UNO players to see. The father/brother expresses his disgust on gaming forum NeoGAF;

"Really now. Is that necessary? My daughter is plainly sitting there on my lap and yet he puts the porn on anyway?

"I wouldn't mind if it was a bunch of guys around...but he could clearly see my daughter and another person with a tag of 'twins mom'...and then he does that. C'mon. That ain't right."

It surely isn't. Regulating this type of behaviour is difficult, but the offending person should suffer the consequence of having his gamertag banned, and further, being thrown off Xbox Live for good. Microsoft should concentrate on getting rid of these nutters, rather than people that happen to have the word "gay" in their name.

And even though research on the damage caused by exposing youth to pornographic material is not yet conclusive, police authorities could get involved and make this Xbox player suffer much worse than getting kicked off Xbox Live. Worth the joke?
