Nightfox has released a bugfix version of Colors for the Nintendo DS:

    Hi!

I just fixed another "bug?" reported by users with slow SD cards. Game freezes when they exit from Options Screens. This is because music is playing (mp3 Stream) and at exit of options screen data will be saved to a file. Sometimes, rarely, this causes DS freezes, because a mp3 player is reading a block from fat and at same time, options screen is triyin to write one. I fixed it pausing while Options Screen is saving data to fat then unpausing it. Now you will notice a little pause on music when you exit Options Screen.
Added also a new game icon, updated credits and a "Loading files" counter.

    Thats all

    Download: http://www.mediafire.com/?pzwt1mxf32p

Please, report any unknow bug to me to can fix it

P.D. It's fun try to fix bugs caused by linkers.... XD

Thoduv has updated his Lapinou jumps game for the Nintendo DS:

Lapinou is a nice little rabbit "carrotivore" that is, for some reason that nobody so far could not explain, stuck in a kind of infernal tour, between two edges of the screen. But never fear for our rodent friend, who despite having a diet varied little, is rather dégourdi and cunning. By dint of reflection, it has therefore found the solution to his imprisonment: this solution is simple, it is rising. Mount? Hey, just wish I see strange blocks of land suspended in the middle of emptiness by a divine force very favourable to the survival of the species of rabbits, which commme you know, is necessary for proper regulation of quantity of carrots in the ecosystem, but brief. Even more surprising, those famous blocks magic seem to indicate a path, forming a stairway to freedom of our beloved Lapinou (since this is his name). Then he takes his courage with his two ears, heats feet, and starts bouncing blocks in blocks. But horror: it turns out that these are rather fragile and kind of rapidly crumbling under the weight of rodent doped with carrot juice ... Your mission (if you agree): embody this rabbit in distress and give him his freedom.

    -- July 21, 2008:
[VERSION 1.2] A great big package of new products, cleaning code, correcting bugs! The new Lapinou is here! Maheureusement, it will probably wait for quite some time the next, if there ever is one.
    * Add a block aid, placed at the beginning of the game, to explain just what to do (for people who would not want to read the README!)
    * Add a secret bloc, which is very expensive but helps us to ... a secret!
    * Better protection against cheating!
    * Small music (héhé) and animation for those arriving to finish the game!
    * Menu to buy blocks. Beginning integration of a "modular" for the main loop.
    * Modification sorting polygons translucent to correct bugs transparency.
    * Standby mode when you close the DS.
    * Switch ASlib for sound, ca m'évite lots of trouble with my own MP3 player who does that at its head.
    * Grosse modification of the main menu. The code is always crade, but much nicer!
    * Changing the force of gravity (more "real" and a "floating" for very light) ... ... Indeed not, it has the air to break the gameplay ...
    * System backups that works (block "nds"). File scores / backup renamed "lapinou.sav."
    * Sending scores on the internet direct DS.
    * Add block "slide" and "nds."
    * Falling blocks are solid and break at the landing.
    * Add a small particles (ugly for now).
    * Small improvements to the system vthreads: it is possible to stop a thread nicely, and initiate a cascade threads (inside other threads). Adding full effects on the menus.
    * Support ADPCM, and passage of all the sounds in ADPCM = gain seats in the ROM (200K earned).
    * Responsible less monotonous (change depending on height).
    * System stronger CPI (InterProcessor Communication) "lapinou-ipc."
    * System abstraction "lapinou-io" for files.
    * Collisions objects-objects.
    * Cleaning the code (particularly main loop).

Jonz has released a new version of his Nes Emulator for the iPhone:

NES.app lets you play Nintendo games on your iPhone. It is a fully functional, feature-rich Nintendo emulator.

NES.app uses an emulator core we call NESCore, which we've forked from pNESx and InfoNES and re-engineered as a highly-portable and high-performance Nintendo emulator core.

In order to use NES.app, you will need ROM images of Nintendo games. ROM images are files containing the dumped instruction code from a physical cartridge. In many cases, you are legally entitled to posess a ROM imageof any game that you presently own. ROM images for NES are widely available online, or with the appropriate hardware, you can dump them yourself directly from the cartridge.

    Features
Multitouch: Use the directional pad + A + B, or other combinations
Landscape Mode: Turn the iPhone counter-clockwise to play in landscape mode
Zapper Tap: Tap objects on the screen to shoot them
Full Screen: Enlarge your NES picture to the max possible
Save State: Save an instant snapshot of your game and come back to it later
Game Genie: Use Game Genie cheat codes
    ... and many more
    NES.app is not iPhoneNES!
NES.app started as a fork of iPhoneNES v0.01, but has been completely rewritten to run very fast, and with many additional features including sound, multitouch support, full-screen, landscape mode, game genie codes, saved games and much more. It now contains zero code from the original iPhoneNES project.

Bushing one of the Wii Scenes most prominent hackers last week went public with his plea to Nintendo to answer him and stop a piracy exploit (unreleased) in the Wii that allows unmodified Wiis to run pirated Games, Bushing updated and Nintendo have replied.
He did not post the reply from Nintendo, he just posted
(Insert a polite reply here from a real person at Nintendo, indicating that they received my message and will reply further shortly.)

(No, I won’t be posting any other correspondence with them.)

Bushing has also posted all the emails from people pretending to be from nintendo (eg [email protected]).

Looks like the pirates wont be getting their day after all and by doing this Bushing has protected the Homebrew scene. Yes a strange move for a Wii Hacker to Work with Nintendo but protecting against Piracy benefits all and especially the Homebrew Community.

    Newly released today:

From Sega's official Chinese distributor AtGames comes another hot gadget that will bring all your fond memories of Sega's 16bit era back to life.

This official product contains twenty hot built-in Mega Drive games and in addition to this, the console is compatible with original Mega Drive Genesis games from Japan, USA and Europe.

This is made possible by the NTSC/PAL switch installed at the back of the console. Most US NTSC Genesis and Japanese Mega Drive games can be played via the consoles's NTSC mode, while European Games can be played in the PAL Mega Drive mode.

Please note that, however, newer titles which are region protected, such as Comix Zone are not compatible with the console and due to region encoding, incompatibility issues may also occur with some other titles.

Aside from your old collection, this console also plays so called RedKid catridges. These are specially designed carts, distributed by AtGames and fully licensed by Sega. New RedKid catridges and multi game compilations are currently being developed and will be made available in the near future.

The package contains two six-button joypads, an AV Mono cable, a multi voltage power supply as well as an instructions sheet.

The Twin Pad Player features standard Mega Drive joypad ports, so other official or third party pads can be connected in exchange of those ones that are supplied with this bundle.
