    Heres what could be one of the biggest releases for a while from the Dreamcast.ES Community, heres the translated info:

    Tux Football DC (alpha 2)

    Tired of bad football games for Dreamcast? Well, now you can have another chance with Tux Football!
    Tux Football is a great football game in 2D for Windows and Linux! Trayéndote the old style of play back to the desktop with enhanced graphics! For people who remember these forgotten classics such as Kick Off the company Amco, or Sensible Soccer Sensible Software.

    The gameplay is designed to be fast, intuitive and fun. Always will have control of the player closest to the ball. The ball is controlled by buttons for kicking 2: One to go, and another for throwing. After touching the ball you can make quick shots by pressing and holding the address where you wish to make the shot. If it points toward the opposite direction of where ducks, the ball will come out firing in the air, pointing in the same direction the ball will go directly to the ground.

    Unfortunately, this game was forgotten in 2004 ... While it was a good game, has some bugs ... You are warned!

    Website Author: http://tuxfootball.sourceforge.net
    Version: 0.1.1 GNU

    Current status:

    Latest version Alpha 2:
    * Added the original music of the game
    * FIX 2 player controls that did not work.
    * Fixed an important bug, which meant that the FPS drop suddenly when the cpu had the ball.

    That this fact:
    * Two teams
    * Passes, ducks, header
    * Detection Limits (ie, when it comes to the goal, goals, etc).
    * Physical Realists in the ball, even when bounces in the goal.
    * Subject Start with menu
    * Sound & Music
    * Players controlled by the machine
    * 2 players

    One of the greatest challenges to adapt this game, is RAM. Dreamcast only has 16MB of ram for everything (load the game and load objects). So, some things were removed in the Dreamcast version:

    * The animations and shadows were eliminated (The players will always be in a position to foot). Only the size of all images PNG were 4 MB!

    A couple of good things in the game:
    * Resolution of 640x480.
    * It should work with the Dreamcast keyboard.
    * The menus are slowing, but in a game often walk by 20 FPS constantly.

    Controls Player 1:

    Arrows = Cruceta command: Move the player
    Shift left Button B =: Tyre (PAT strong into the air)
    Left Ctrl button = A: Skip (A soft pass, which will go directly to the player nearest the same team)
    Enter / Enter = Start Button: Choose the menu options
    Esc = trigger left: Quit Game

    Controls Player 2:

    k, j, h, l = Cruceta command: Move the player
    f = Button B: Tyre (PAT strong into the air)
    g = Button: Skip (A soft pass, which will go directly to the player nearest the same team)
    Enter / Enter = Start Button: Choose the menu options
    Esc = trigger left: Quit Game

    Here you can download the source code for the Dreamcast version, an image. Bin and an image CDI ready to be recorded!

    Our Spanish friends over at the leading Dreamcast Site posted this article:

    next November 27 sees the tenth anniversary of the commercialization of our favorite console.

    To do so in Dreamcast.es we will hold for everything from high since 2004 and did not hold any party and only 100% dedicated to the Dreamcast, The occasion deserves it.

    For this reason, Chui, Neoblast, Melovampire and whom he writes, we believe that we are in a good time to organize commemorative event and we have all, it is important to know your views and tastes. As always an event requires all and as we organize it is necessary to know whether or take the summer we hope to November in order to find a date consistent with everyone's needs.

    We thought that the bridges of November and December dates are very close to conclusion and that would be more convenient. We are happy to read all your ideas and opinions on the territory where it would be ideal to celebrate and especially if there is desire.

    We still have to propose to our European counterparts the idea webs, and as Spain is one of the engines Scene DC and a country that always like to visit, nothing better to do with the participation of all. A joint European festival in Spain. If someone thinks the party could well be a big party for at least two days in which everyone could meet and share our enthusiasm for the console and its scene.

    Regarding announcements we can not announce now that may be getting plenty of CD's for everything that is going to leave this year, the Scene will be present and may be left on a formal see something, although we are partidiarios no illusions as to date has not been revealed absolutely nothing.

    Now that all sabeis we are going to organise a good event, it's time to get down to work, this takes time and all the support and assistance is always little. We all hope and we need your ideas and comments. Would you apunta?

    Free MC Boot is an 'exploit' that allows a user to install it on official 8MB Sony MC's as well as 3rd party cards. (with the exception of those needing a boot disc to be recognized or cloned Chinese cards)

    1.4b

    - Added CNF-Support (thanx to beerboy for the idea)
    - Added support to launch OSDSYS (auto and manual) by Neme
    - Added FastBoot-Support
    - Fixed Bug on PS2-Slim-Consoles, that were freezing on "decrypting dvdelf"

    It creates only your osdxxx.elf file and an empty BOOT folder on the Memory Card.

    You can optionnally put in the same folder that the installer :
    - "DVDELF.BIN" file to replace your rom dvdelf taken by default for inject (It must be encrypted, so just taken out from rom).
    - "BOOT.ELF" file to be injected in dvdelf and replace the Free McBoot loader.

    The installer creates a mcX:/SYS-CONF/FREEMCB.CNF config file if it not already exist.

    Config Options :
    - for boot from usb use for example : mass:/BOOT/BOOT.ELF
    - for boot from memcard use for example : mc0:/BOOT/BOOT.ELF or mc1:/BOOT/BOOT.ELF
    - you can use too for example : mc?:/BOOT/BOOT.ELF it wills check for the file in the two slots
    - LK_???_E1 entries are first boot attempt, and LK_???_E2 entries are secondary boot file
    - All LK_???_E1 and LK_???_E2 entries can either be set to a path or to "OSDSYS", in the second case if no key is pressed you will be rejected to the browser. If you set a path it will be booted if no key pressed.
    - AutoBoot_Disc option allow to check if a ps2 disk is present (Close the tray !!!) and boot it, set it to 0 to avoid this.
    - Debug_Screen set to 1 allow to keep the Green debug screen if no boot file is found, if set to 0 reject to browser.

    By default, config file is set to boot like that (if you press R1) :
    - mc?:/BOOT/BOOT1.ELF
    - mc?:/BOOT/BOOT1.ELF
    - mc?:/B?DATA-SYSTEM/BOOT1.ELF
    - mc?:/B?DATA-SYSTEM/BOOT1.ELF
    BOOT2.ELF if you press R2.
    BOOT3.ELF if you press L1.
    BOOT4.ELF if you press L2.
    Rejected to browser if no key pressed or no boot file found.
    It auto boot ps2 disks so close your cdvd tray.

    You should not see Red screen if the CNF is readed, if you experience red screen check that you have config file in valid path.

    If you don't want of this config file, delete it !

    __________________________________________________

    If no config file is found the loader boots like 1.4 :
    - mass0:/BOOT/BOOT.ELF
    - mc0:/BOOT/BOOT.ELF
    - mc1:/BOOT/BOOT.ELF
    - mc0:/B?DATA-SYSTEM/BOOT.ELF (where ? is your region.)
    - mc1:/B?DATA-SYSTEM/BOOT.ELF

    If you hold R1 button:
    - mass0:/BOOT/BOOT1.ELF
    - mc0:/BOOT/BOOT1.ELF
    - mc1:/BOOT/BOOT1.ELF
    - mc0:/B?DATA-SYSTEM/BOOT1.ELF (where ? is your region.)
    - mc1:/B?DATA-SYSTEM/BOOT1.ELF
    If you hold R2 it boots BOOT2.ELF, L1->BOOT3.ELF, L2->BOOT4.ELF

    If you have a red screen at boot, this means no boot file found, check that you have a BOOT.ELF file in boot folders.

    The Cross-Linking trick has been removed, it will become optional in future release,
    but I need to fix some issues before.

    Known Bugs:
    - On some ps2 versions it will fails to correct naming osd file, it will call it osdmain.elf by default, all you have to do is name it correctly.
    - The formatter will not work properly if the memory card have bad blocks.
    - The installer uses XSIO2MAN and other extended modules, so PS2 without these modules will fail to run installer.

    1.4
    - Updated DVDELF Inject to 1.3R1 by Neme
    - Custom elf file inject has been disabled (but now you can use the 75kb DVDELF)
    - Added light loader to support 75kb dvdelf.
    - Boot elfs can be differents if you press a button.

    News from Zodttd:

    Hello everyone,

    ZodTTD here. I have been hard at work on fixing some tough bugs and various issues with my port and frontend of the VLC media player to the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch. The last of the major issues I had have been fixed, and I've fixed MANY bugs and even added a feature or two!

    Here's a quick list of changes in vlc4iphone v0.9.5:
    - Added a streaming media feature to vlc4iphone, so movies and audio can be streamed via HTTP and RTSP!
    - Added full support (sound + video decoding) for the following video formats:
    FLV (Flash Video) XviD (DivX) MP4 (MPEG4) MOV (Quicktime)
    H264 (Hi Def) 3GP (Mobile movies)
    - Added video playback of WMV movies.
    - Added audio playback of OGG in addition to FLAC, MP3, MP2, etc.
    - Added a fast forward and rewind feature for videos.
    - Fixed up and improved file browsing within the vlc4iphone GUI.
    - Fixed many bugs concerning stability.

    With vlc4iphone you can download files from Safari on your iPhone or iPod Touch using a local download patch and easily add them to a playlist for playback, without worry of format and need of conversion and syncing tools.

    Also, now you can enter your favorite media's HTTP URL or RTSP into vlc4iphone's playlists and stream the media over the net!
    Have a YouTube video FLV? Just add it to vlc4iphone for playback.

    There are still some things to do:
    - I need to add ID3 Tag labels to audio media playback. And also label video media so people are more aware of what is being played during the playlist.
    - I need to add a current location label to the file browsing.
    - More performance can always help. Though FLV and MP4s are running very nicely assuming they aren't very large resolutions!
