    Hey guys,
I am looking for programmers with experience on the DS. It doesn't necessarily have to be professional experience but you need to be able to program competently on the system. This is a full-time paid position working on a AAA DS title at a Toronto based company. If you have any interest please reply to this thread or email me personally at [email protected] and I will fill you in with more information.

M-HT has also released a GP2X version of Albion

Albion is a fantasy role playing game. The gameplay has the basic statistic and level system most RPGs of its time had. To level up, you defeat monsters in battle and gain experience. The non-battle portions of this game are mainly puzzle and conversation based, so there are very few "Give X to get Y" puzzles. You can have up to six characters in your party, led by Tom Driscoll, the only character who stays with you through the entire game.

    News/release from Guyfawkes:

As mentioned last week I was planning to update one of my first GP2X games from when the GP2X was first released. It was originally a port of my GP32 game Yahtzee and due to the early development kit for the GP2X the port wasn't that great. So now the F-200 is out, touch screen is perfect for the game and although I do not own a F-200 I wanted an up to date version for myself and others to enjoy.

The game has the following changes:

    - Brand new layout and design for the game. Menus and in game look totally different and are much nicer and easier to read.
    - F-200 Touch Screen and USB Mouse are now fully supported.
    - Media player from Squares is now used so you can play your favourite MP3, OGG and (I think) MOD format music.
    - Added SFX for the dice roll. I didnt put much SFX as you should be bangin' out your tunes
    - Added animation for the dice roll.
    - High Score table added.
    - PDF user guide.
    - Minor bug fixes.

Please read the user guide on how to set up the media player, by default it searches the /audio/ subfolder on your SD Card.

Donations are appreciated so if you like the game don't forget! This is my last software release for the GP2X as I will be probably moving onto something else in the new year, so thanks for playing my software and long live the GP2X! I hope you enjoy the new version, you can download it from the GP2X Archive here. ...

    News/release from andyauff:

This is a program designed to let you create your own drill sets for marching bands. If you don't know, the drill is the movement of the band on the field. This program allows you to add an "X" wherever you want a band member to be for that set, just the way drill sheets look.

    HOW DOES IT WORK?
On the screen is a standard (almost to scale, but not exactly) high school football field. You can see all of the yard lines, with the goal lines being green,
the 50 yard line being blue, and the rest black. there are also hash marks (high school
    distances, still).

You simply move the "selector," or square, around the field to where you want the "dot" (coordinates and position for each band member) of the band
member. Press CROSS on the PSP to create an "X" right there! The selector moves at an 8-5 step with each press of the d-pad. For example, if you press the right arrow on the d-pad, the selector will move one step to the right on the screen (towards the "side 2" goal line) at an 8-5 step. The analog stick is, at the moment, sensitive, but it can get you moving around the field faster than an 8-5 step at a time. Moving the analog stick will make the selector move 8 8-5 steps in the respective direction (the distance between two yard lines). The selector will likely move at least 16 8-5 steps because of the sensitivity, but it is useful to get around the field quickly (it will always move at a multiple of 8, though... just sometimes it moves 2 sets of 8 8-5 steps, and so on...).

Up at the top of the PSP's screen is a display telling you where, exactly, the selector is currently on the screen. It tells you how many steps off of the closest yard line you are, and how many steps from the closest hash or side line you are. It also shows you the selector's x and y values (in pixels) on the PSP's screen.

There is also an undo feature, which is a little buggy but should get the job done. Simply press CIRCLE on the PSP to undo the last "X" you added to the screen.

That's just about it, have fun!

    CONTROLS:

CROSS (X): Create an instance of "X" on the screen at the current position of the selector.
CIRCLE (O): Undo the last creation of "X" performed.

A few if you may have seen this mod a few years back - it did get some decent press on the tubes and was featured in an issue of EGM. There’s really not a whole lot to say about this one, so I’ll let the pic speak for itself.

Check the auction for more pics, as well as a video of the system in action. Currently cheap too, at just over $40.00 with a full nine days to go. ...
