    News/release from guitargod1134

Ok sorry for the long wait but I have been busy with school work and yatta yatta. Anyways this release has some big changes so lets get to it

    __Changelog__
    1. Completely redone code. No code from the old releases was used, I redid it to make it more effecient and stable.
    2. There is now a menu instead of pressing different buttons and stuff we now have a menu
    3. off course with the menu there is a menu background which i would like to give a thanks to jem

    __Installations__
    1. Just throw it in the game150 folder. Its not a kxploited eboot because I figure everyone must be on OE or SE so why wasted folders?

    __Additional info__
At first yes there was a text reader implemented for tabs. But it did not work very well. So expect that later. Also this weekend im going to rerecord all the strings for the tuner to improve the quality.

If you have any suggestions or ideas tell me here, and maybe Ill add them.

Special thanks to jem for doing all the gfx.

For more info you can check out the heylookatme.txt
Also I tested this and it works 100% on my psp but there is always the chance that I may have uploaded the wrong file or something so if you think something smells fishy tell me so I can fix it.
If someone could upload a screen that would be cool.

    News/release by Be3f:

This is the first public Alpha of the Serious Sam: TFE mod for Dungeons (called Serious Dungeons v0.3), which I'm working on.
It is powered by the latest (currently) Charnold's Dungeons v0.7 Engine.
My aim is to make the Serious Sam: The First Encounter clone for the PSP. Dungeons Engine is powerful, but it currently doesn't support some important features to make this mod more likely true SS. So, I'm waiting for the next update...
This is my second mod for Dungeons (you may find Dark Dungeons at the Charnold's site http://www.caweb.de/).
In no way is this to be sold, it is freeware/homebrew.

    There are new:
    - 5 levels with new textures.
    - sounds & music from SS.
    - 3 enemies (not Serios Sam enemies yet (aliens from Serius), just Q3 monsters. Maybe, you'll see Mental's aliens in future...)
    - 2 weapons (Q3 Rocket Launcher & Q3 Railgun model with the new green skin)
    - changed ballanse - enemies have different health (4, 8 and 12) & weapons do different damage (Rocket - 4, Rail - 8). The game is more difficult, then original Dungeons 0.7, but you may select any level from the menu :-)
    - some new gfx
    - New bootpicture and sound added to the EBOOT
    - EBOOTs for the 1.50 firmware

Updated release by MrMr[iCE] of his Snake game for the PSP, heres whats new

This is mostly a bug fix and tweaks to certain aspects of the game. The changes:
Added proper suspend/resume code. app should behave nicely now for those who said it crashed on resume from standby mode. Please test this.
Food spawns much faster now, almost immediately after consuming the last item.
Tweaked the appearance rate of food items, red slowdowns should show up more now.
Snake grows/shrinks very quickly now. Be careful where the tail is when you eat a yellow/blue item
Added a counter to the scoreboard that shows how many segments have been accumulated over time..this is part of the scoring system.
Enhanced the water effect, decreased the dampening some to make the waves more pronounced. The ring effects you saw before are now replaced by drops in the water field
Replaced the default music loop with something not so fast. This is a bigger file tho, so there will be a pause at game startup
The music loop MUST be less that 16777215 bytes. This is a limit in the playback system, the current one is just a little over 14 mb.

heres a video clip of a test (old version of the game):

    any ideas are welcome.

    Cheater360 posted this news/release:

I just made an app. called Multi Password Boot Protector (v1.0)

I ONLY TESTED THIS ON 3.03 OE!!!

This app makes it so you need a special Memory Stick to turn on your PSP.
Your MS will contain as many passwords as you like and they will have to be found by your PSP as it boots, or the PSP will never start.

If it starts, your PSP will display a custom pic.
There is no way around this boot protector unless somebody has the same passwords on their memory stick.

The passwords are not located in files.
They are located by folder names.
Here is the Lua code as an example:

    Code:
    background = Image.load("../../../../SYSTEM/BROWSER/pass1/pass2.jpg")
    while true do
    screen:blit(0,0,background)
    screen.flip()
    screen.waitVblankStart(100)
    os.exit()
    end
What this does is tell the PSP simply to open a picture.
But you can tell it to open a pic in any folder you want.
The folders can be named anything...

This is very hard to explain, but once you download it, it will see much easier once you see the system.lua and index.lua files.

The files and folders are hidden, so you have to show them.

There is an optional step to write to the flash for extra security.
    Open the file flash0:/vsh/module/vshmain.prx

Edit the line ms0:/PSP/GAME/BOOT/EBOOT.PBP to wherever you want the boot folder to be. I just changed the name of the BOOT folder to something else (4 char.).

Btw about those people who use to play videos on their psps will be happily surprised, but I wont say more

P.S. No, nothing regarding pops improvements on this release, sorry for the ones expecting those.

Like most of the rest of the tech-obsessed world, we were following along with rapt attention today as Steve Jobs revealed the iPhone to a massive MacWorld audience. Sure, it's pretty cool that you'll soon be able to make phone calls on the world's most popular MP3 player, but what we're really excited about is the gaming potential of the device. Why? Here's why:

Dual-touch: Imagine the Nintendo DS touch screen. Now stretch it out, design it for fingers instead of a stylus, and let it recognize two different inputs simultaneously. We can only imagine the gaming possibilities designers can create with this.
Accelerometer: Sure, Jobs uses it to simply switch between portrait and landscape modes, but we don't see any reason this feature can't be used for WarioWare Twisted-style games with tilt-based controls
Internet: Wi-Fi is already old news on the Nintendo DS and PSP, but since the iPhone is a cell phone, you could theoretically connect to your cell network and play online even without a Wi-Fi hot spot. The built-in web browser has the potential to allow for mobile play on thousands of free Flash games as well.
Built-in camera: This may sound a little silly, but we were really excited about the EyeToy-like functionality of the Gizmondo. Now that that's crashed and burned, the iPhone's built-in two-megapixel camera and detailed widescreen could bring the concept back.
Distribution: iTunes is already on millions of computers and has trained users to accept making micropayments for downloadable content. Oh, and it already has games. Dare we dream of downloading games-on-demand over a cell phone network?
While Jobs didn't sepcifically mention any gaming applications for the iPhone during his keynote speech, we think it's only a matter of time before some form of interactive entertainment is announced for the device. At least, we hope it's only a matter of time. Please? ...

    Via Psxreality (and crappy translation)

PSXReality.net presents/displays his to you first application for PSP

One is a version (I believe that improved) of the old MSTest created by MIB42 (done from 0, since we only have the EBOOT).

After to see me “timado” by store online, that I am not going to name until they do not answer to me, in which offered a Memory Stick Pair _SONY_ 2GB High Speed (yes the invoice puts SONY) and I arrive a false one… I began to testear my MS with MSTest and felt that the PSP users we needed something more standardized. So I mounted the development surroundings and this it is the result, PSXR-MSTester.

    Functionalities
    -------------------
    - Test in way batch (to execute and ready) standardized.
    - Results kept in ms0: /
    - Added standard deviation
    - Limitation until 20MB of block (it must not more have sense in PSP)
    - Graphical Results (with possibility of recording it in ms0: /PSP/PHOTO)

Within rar you have to part of the LEEME, README (I recommend to you to read it before beginning the tests to the crazy person) the images (also published in the forum here) with a comparative one with my memory cards.
