Im not sure what egga is unless its the Genesis emulator but heres the news posted on LiraNunas site:

It has been some time since my last update. so here is a short news flash.
First of all, i got my DS! finally!. and currently it's at the store, being replaced because of a dead red pixel at the upper screen.

The work on Egga has also been improved, now the emulator can output sound at a high quality 32Khz stereo. The emulator's speed is almost perfect, 30-45 FPS with sound, altho it still has some problems with tiles and direct rendering which i can't resolve. There is no awy of adding your own ROMs into it, cause i still need to add some kind of a ROMFS. after i will code or find a ROMFS, i will add it to WonDerS too.

the work on WinDS has also increased lately, cause of something i can't talk about right now. I'm polishing documentations, and adding more and more examples. Yesterday i was able to convert Doxygen's HTML generated docs to a CHM format which is a lot more smaller and easier to use.

Alot of GFXers has contected me. which is very nice! i got some nice sprites from Tostadilla, and i will soon add them to HornetDS.

I'm intrested in buying a GBAMP, but i don't have the money. 25$ is kinda expensive here in Israel, so it'll
take some time. I am allways accepting donations if you are willing to help

Francis revealed in an interview with Emulation 64 that he will port MAME over to the GP2X as soon as the console is released:

Q : Are you currently working on any other projects besides your publicly known ones?
A : I have taken a look to a lot things, like SNES9X, DOSBOX, PCSX... But when I have started to investigate more deeply I have been 'forced' xD to continue working on my MAME GP32 port, because I have got a lot of help from people like TheGrimReaper, Reesy, Una-i, Pepe_Faruk, etc. Also with incoming GP2X appearance, I will have a lot of work to have MAME ported to the new console as soon as console appears...

Nintendo DS’s Wi-Fi capabilities have been unveiled

    . Interesting features include:

Save settings for up to three connections
    Auto-detection of available wi-fi networks
Support for primary and secondary DNS servers
Support for DHCP and static IP addresses
Support for WEP (but not WPA!) security
This last item is going to earn the system some real bronx cheers. According to security experts, WEP is an obsolete protocol for securing wireless data transmissions. Earlier this year, the FBI gave demonstrated that they could crack open a “WEP-protected network in 3 minutes using publicly available tools” (source).

So what’s the big deal if someone’s snooping on your Mario Kart race? There’s probably not too much risk, as most hackers are going to be looking for the juicy stuff, like people signing in to their PayPal accounts or engaging in PictoChat cyber. This does expose the DS to man-in-the-middle and hijacking attacks, but does that mean that viruses and bricking trojans can be introduced to game devices via wireless attack? ...

As of the end of September of this year, the Nintendo DS has sold 3.2 million units while the Sony PSP has sold just 1.7 million units in Japan, according to sales figures provided by Japanese games site Dengeki Online. The culprit? Sony’s just not coming out with games that Japanese gamers want to buy. The PSP’s game lineup is a source of major dissatisfaction for Japanese gamers, with just 15.3 percent of them satisfied about the games available for the system. Compare that to nearly 50% of DS owners who are happy with the games available for the DS.

This isn’t a shocker. We’ve been hearing from reader comments for a while now that the PSP’s line-up is somewhat lackluster. The top-ranked PSP game to date is launch title Lumines, and that’s kind of puzzling, considering how well Sony has done lining up developer support for the PlayStation consoles.

Maybe this is only a short-term problem. There are currently around 50 PSP games available, and Sony has promised that nearly 150 will be available by Sprint 2006, but we still have to wonder whether Sony might have taken on more than it can handle in trying to launch the PS3 and support a brand new mobile console at the same time.

But as we all know, there are lies, damned lies, and statistics. Another way to look at these same figures is in terms of gross sales. At twice the price of a DS, the PSP only needs to sell half as many units to match gross sales. That’s not too shabby for Sony’s first-ever game console portable ...

    News From Lik Sang

One of these anxiously awaited Video Recorders for Memory Stick was also on display in the Audio hall. Only showcased behind a window glass on RockRidge USA booth, the VRX02 was not demonstrated during the show and not much information could be gathered about it from the representatives at the fair. All we could steal is a decent resolution picture of the VRX02 and its packaging.

All these three MP4 Video Recorders, be it from Itan, Hori or RockRidge, might probably be all based on a same new MPEG-4 encoding IC chip. This could be the explanation why so little can be seen about these products despite the supposedly short time left until their listed release date. As to predict which unit will come out first, it maybe just depends who is the fastest in mastering the chip, and fitting it into their own designs, diagrams and engineering plans. The speed of each company's factory partner might also have importance in such a tight race. Stay tuned, time will tell. ...

    News From Lik Sang

A local Hong Kong manufacturer was showing off a new Gun for PlayStation 2 and Xbox that finally solves the long-lasting compatibility problems with the latest generation of televisions and screens. Be it with 100 Hz, Plasma or LCD, current lightguns for console games all have their issues, for several reasons related to the way they function. Coming with a different approach, this gun comes with a calibration module built-in. You point the gun to your screen and calibrate it by shooting at each of the four corners. After that, the screen area is properly defined and the sensor will also evaluate where you are shooting at. It relies on itself and therefore would work in theory with any type of screen from the past or from the future, even with a Retro-Projector pointed at a wall! Again, only a prototype was on the show, after failing in our theft attempts, we will have to wait until middle of November to get our hands on an evaluation sample, while the public release date is still unknown. Retail price will be set at US$ 39.90 according to the producer of the gun.

Lik Sang have already begun taking preorders for the No Mod PSPTV Kit, heres the info:

The TV Adapter for PSP lets you hook up your PSP to your home television (NTSC and PAL) via Composite or S-Video and Stereo connectors. This adapter requires no modification of your PSP console. This new peripheral takes a completely different approach and clips on top of your PSP screen, with two screws to fit at the back of the handheld (in these two holes you can see on the top of the UMD drive). Some sort of pyramid grows from the base, with a precision lens and mirror system at the top, capturing the image and light, in a similar way a scanner or camera would. It then converts it into a video signal that is sent through video leads going from the adapter to your TV set.

    News from Lik Sang

We were recently reporting about a soon to be released TV Adapter solution for the Sony PSP. The main concern with that model was that it would require you to open your precious machine and voiding of the warranty de facto.

A Taiwanese company at the Hong Kong Electronics show, pulled Lik Sang behind their closed curtain and showed off their new TV Adapter project, which doesn't require opening the PSP system at all and therefore will be easier to use and not void the warranty. The same manufacturer already developed the famous TV de Advance a couple of years ago, a TV Adapter for the GBA.

While that sounds complicated, we were quite impressed with the result.

There was only a preliminary prototype that could be demonstrated to Lik Sang in a private room, and we were required not to take any picture. After flashing the image of what we saw in our limited brain memory, we spent a bit of time playing around with Photoshop in order to render the concept for you.

The first evaluation samples are expected to be available in November, when mass-production is also supposed to start. The retail price is expected to be slightly over 100 US$, and Gametech is rumored to be in line for a Japanese launch of the product by the middle of December. Gametech was already the distributor of the TV de Advance for GBA in the Land of the Rising Sun.

    Awesome news eh ...

Yoshihiro and SXT are proud to bring you The most advanced Firmware loader ever created for psp:

It's been tested to boot successfully :

firmware 1.0 debug unit (the bogus 1.0 update from sony), 1.0 retail, 1.5 retail and 1.52 retail. firmwares 2.0, 2.01 and 2.50 do not boot yet on this version.

This version is useful to developers and firmware hackers.

What's new compared to existing FW loaders :

    - Totally coded from nothing by Yoshihiro from SXT.
(although the original idea of running a firmware from a memory stick comes from MPH)
    - Unlike other loader that patches like 3 prx, BFM (the SXT version) patches them all !! It means unlike other fw loaders BFM does NOT load prx modules from the flash unit but only from the memory stick !
It also means less risks of freezing, and no chances of bricking your psp while playing with your tweak fw (or untweaked ones)
    - prx modules are patched on the fly !
    - Improved stability
    - You can almost use every fw feature including music (mp3) playback and videos ( including UMD videos) playback !!
    - You can have several fw at once on a single memory stick !
    - Runs descrypted and encrypted firmwares !
    - You are now sure of botting 100% of the fw files from the memory stick and not from your flash (whitch means you would run modules from your own fw instead of running the ones located in your memory sticks, fw loaders such as the ones from MPH have that issue)
    - No sources yet, we do not release sources with our beta versions.
