The World War Two action game Brothers In Arms is now available from the N-Gage application's Showroom section. If you're having trouble seeing it, select Options and then Update Now, which should make it appear in the Latest Games section. If you still can't see it, exit N-Gage, open the phone web browser, select Options, then Clear Privacy Data, then Clear Cache, close the browser, start N-Gage up and click on the Available Games section of the Showroom. (Thanks to ccraig for tipping us off about the release)

The unpacked installation file weighs in at a massive 37 megabytes, so this game can take many minutes to install. Don't worry if the installation seems to be progressing slowly, it does get there eventually.

If you haven't yet got N-Gage on your phone, here's a step-by-step guide on how to install it. The platform is currently compatible with the Nokia N81, N81 8GB, N82, N95 and N95 8GB, with more phones due to be added fairly soon.

Progress on the Sega Dreamcast emulator for Windows.

Evolution will not boot (black screen right after SEGA logo) if there is less than 8 free blocks on Port A/Slot 1 VMU. It's not a bug in Makaron, it does exactly that on my Dreamcast too. Interestingly if you remove the VMU completly at this point it'll unfreeze and show a warning (about there not being enough space to save) and let you continue. On Makaron the only way to avoid this situation is to make sure there's enough space left on VMU before you launch the game.

If you get that Skies of Arcadia bug where it hangs once you leave the in-game menu, it's probably damaged FLASH. Unfortunately Makaron can damage this file as well - this is a bit complicated and so I'll spare you the boring details. Point is, if that happens you need to replace it with a good dump. I consider FLASH image safe if it's not been used with any emulator, so there's no chance it got corrupted. You might still need to set the date & time, mind you, but that's normal and should work from there on.
By the way - I'm always talking GDI images, unless otherwise noted. In this particular case I'd like to remind you people that there are various problems with Echelon's rip of SoA on Dreamcast, and that stays true for Makaron as well. It's not as bad, as Makaron GD emulation is still faster than the real hardware, but you should expects random lags (like those in intro sequence), maybe broken sound and even more graphics glitches.

I've been playing SoA for several hours (and not just me) and not a single hang Right now I'm trying to implement VMU sounds - if there's anyone out there who could explain to me where exactly SoA makes use of that, it'd be great. A save file would be even better.

And one more thing - if everything goes well there will be something interesing to show at the end of this week. Stay tuned

The official announcement will be made this morning in conjunction with the big E3 convention in LA, but the Times has leaked that a new GNR tune called "Shackler's Revenge" will be the big hook on the new MTV/Harmonix release of Rock Band 2, coming this fall. Not only that, the venerable Times has allowed itself to get caught up in the game of, "no, really, this time it REALLY MEANS they're gonna release Chinese Democracy." No matter: that particular contest has swallowed bigger fish than the old gray lady.

Fascinating factoid #2: Motley Crue's new song "Saints of Los Angeles" sold 14,000 downloads on iTunes . . . and nearly four times that amount as a Rock Band download on XBox alone.

Lord knows Rock Band 2 is gonna need some help -- or at least an excuse for people to buy another $170 game . . . again. And buy it in a market that's suddenly overrun with Rock Band clones, including Guitar Hero World Tour (an expanded Guitar Hero including, erm, drums and vocals), and Konami's Rock Revolution, a Rock Band-style group game that'll interact with Guitar Hero instruments and add its own expanded drum kit. No vox, though . . . which should make it popular with fans of, say, Pelican.

We just received an interesting teaser video for Sega's Sonic Unleashed moments ago. We'll let Sega explain it....

A shadowy figure has been seen stalking the rooftops of cities and villages across the globe. Concerned citizens have barely caught a glimpse of this mysterious creature as it leaps from building to building, though many people have heard its hair-raising howl from the streets and alleyways far below.

One intrepid videographer managed to capture a fleeting glance of the figure as it made its way across town. The footage was later recovered and proved without a doubt that something is out there and lurking among us.

Now check it out for yourself...
