As the topic says, FileFront will be shutting down it's site indefinitely on March 30th 2009.

Here's what it says on the site:

We regret to inform you that due to the current economic conditions we are forced to indefinitely suspend the FileFront site operations on March 30, 2009. If you have uploaded files, images or posted blogs, or if you would like to download some of your favorite files, please take this opportunity to download them before March 30th when the site will be suspended.

This is sad news to many and at such a short notice too. Wonder what other sites will be affected by the current economic situation. ...

Mk_BS has released port of Aleph One ( which plays Marathon 2 and Marathon Infinity! )

    Here's the release notes:

    ================================
    Aleph One PSP 0.1
    ================================
    Ported by Mk - BarrySoft

    ----------------------
    Info
    ----------------------

This is a PSP port (1.50 kernel only at the moment) of Aleph One I made, sadly it
actually seems to work only with Marathon 2 and Marathon Infinity but not with Marathon.
I'm releasing this anyway as Marathon 2 and Infinity should already be fully playable
and I'll try to fix the Marathon issue as soon as I can.

    This Project Website:
    Marathon 2 - http://www.barrysoft.it/SiteV3/Products.asp?ID=9

the right palette after CLUT animations

    ----------------------
    Installation
    ----------------------

I've included all the required data files
as they are now freely distributable so you should
be ready to go, just copy the provided folders in
your GAME150 folder on your PSP

If for any reason you want to get the data files by yourself
just download the package from http://alephone.cebix.net/ and
create a folder called "data" in your EBOOT directory to put
    the files into.

Be aware that without the font resources file that is not included
in the package the game will not start, but you can get the font file
from any package at http://source.bungie.org/get/ just rename the
font file to "Font" and place it in the "data" folder

    Thanks
    ----------------------

To Bungie for creating such a great game and releasing it free and opensource

To the Aleph One community that made my dream of playing the Marathon Trilogy
    without a mac possible

To Jonn Blanchard from RG Softworks for porting Aleph One on the GP2X, the GP2X port really
helped me a lot to understand where i should start

To the whole PSP Development scene for being so active and full of skilled devs

To my girlfriend that managed to avoid to kill me every time i wasn't answering the phone
testing the new Aleph One build

    ----------------------
    Source
    ----------------------

I'll add more info on how to compile the source soon, you can get it from:
    http://www.barrysoft.it/products/A1PSPsrc.zip

I used some very dirty makefile hackery to make it work so maybe you'll have
to edit some things by yourself to get it work for you.

This is meant to follow up with the memor32 review found here. - http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=82142

Extended review of the Memor32 memory card and Memento Firmware.

    MEMOR32 review

Ill first begin with the Memor32 unit itself... and then move onto the memento firmware and other features that can be used with it.

The Savegame Manager ( SGM ) is not only eye pleasing, it is also really easy to use and understand. Basically, "Import" and "Export" features if you have a ".max" or another person's ".m32" save, and a "Backup" and "Restore" to move saves to and from the memory card.

    screenshot of the savegame manager

    Final Thoughts:

I really didnt think I was going to be too impressed, but boy was I wrong. It really does help with managing your game saves ( esspecially if you have loads of ps2 games ). The only thing i wish they would have included was atleast a usb cord and maybe instructions... bu

    Pros:

    - Build quality is top notch... Feels great, looks great and pretty much is great!
    - Ability to export and import saves. ( So you have hardcopies of your saves just incase you need more room. )
    - Ease of use. ( Wether you are new or old, its easy to understand. )

    Cons:

    - No USB cable
    - No Software
    - No Instructions
    - Price ( but I suppose it pays itself off by allowing gamesave management ) ...

Dont worry about the change in the site.

We have just been informed of a new PSP Virus on the loose.

I have recieved the file and checked it for viruses, and shows as being positive. We have already heard reports of 2 bricks from this virus.

Be VERY careful of this....we dont want any one to end up with bricks... ( and yes we know of the custom firmware mods, but we dont know as of yet if it will fix what this virus does. )

As of the file I receieved.... its dressed up as a usb kxploit... but it can be changed easily to somthing else.

The folder names are SDL-TEST-5 and SDL-TEST-5%. ( though the folder names can be changed as well )

As for size of this file (the one I got sent), its % eboot is 65kb and the other ( non % ) eboot is 10 kb

or in combined total 74 kb

There is a virus checker that can check for suspicious flash acessing. This program can be found here

Please, do be careful. We don't want to see people getting brick's.

    Hi,

Just gonna Copy and Paste what the Read_Me says...

    Hi,

Here is the new and improved Throttle X mod V.2...

Many changes since the last one

    - added a new Editor interface look
    - added a new Replay interface look
    - added 3 new maps ( TheClimb, LuckyJet, MazeofTrouble )

Note: i know maze of trouble seems difficult...but once you know how
to properly spin in mid air ( which is very possible ) then the map is
    really easy.

i have also given you choices between car skins, wheel textures and
tile textures.... ( more will come in packs later on.... )

    to come later on........

    - Music
    - Differnt sounds
    - More Maps
    - More Choices Between Tile Textures and Wheel Textures

anything from this point on is considered a pack.....unless AnonymousTipster comes out with a new version of ThrottleX

    anyway....

    Hope you enjoy the mod

    Thanks for Everything,
    PSPdemon

PS - TheClimb and LuckyJet are 2 basic maps for you to get use to and learn the proper way of jetting into corners and climbing properly.... ( youll need these techniques for MazeofTrouble and the others that will come )

If you come across problems....or find any bug problems....please do tell me either through the comments or by PM

    Hi again,

Back to release another map based off of a secret map in Golden Eye 64 called "The Citadel"

If you want to know more about this map that I speak of... here is a link
    http://goldeneye.detstar.com/citadelfound/index.asp

as far as completion goes, its still in its early stages,

Bascially, it has no lighting, texture issues ( because of a missing colors problem", and clipping issues as well.... but..... when a new version of IRIS comes out, OR when the new FPS from him comes out ( which ever comes first ) I will fix the map.

    --Bugs Known---

---certain areas of the map are clipping wierdly....for instance walls and floors that are suppose to be there....are not.

---textures are not apearing as they should....( lost colors bug )

    --Add in future--

    ---Lighting

---Characters to go with the map

    ---Finish off the second floor

    Here are some pics...

Hopefully.....when iris's bug's are fixed......i can make it look like somthing like this....

    Anyway,

    Thanks for Everything,
    PSPdemon

    Hi,

Here is Peaches Castle Map Alpha v.1 For IRIS!!!

As I have said in a earlier thread..... there are issues still ( like.....clipping and a "lost colors" problem ) but this is about as good as I can make it ...for now that is

Also, i cant seem to get any models to work right now.....so there wont be any characters with the map sorry.....

When a newer version of IRIS comes out.... i will update my map asap

    Credits -

    - Produkt - If it wasnt for him lighting up the map..... I probably wouldn't have released it at all

    Thanks for Everything,
    PSPdemon
