    Nyko Screen Armor PSP
    Manufacturer: Nyko
Site: Buy from Nyko / Product Sheet
    Price: $9.99

Overview : Protect the most important part of the PSP with the stylish, easy-to-use Screen Armor from Nyko. The Screen Armor is a detachable brushed aluminum screen protector that attaches to the face of the PSP using two locking clips. The foldable clips allow for an easy, secure fit while providing convenient storage while not in use. The Screen Armor’s design also leaves the action buttons, the d-pad and headphone jack free so you can take advantage of the PSP’s MP3 playback abilities while still protecting the screen. The rubberizes underside of the screen armor helps protect your PSP from scratches, dust, dirt and fingerprints as well as providing slip free protection for the PSP’s 4.3 inch display. The design of the Screen Armor compliments the PSP and is sure to turn heads.

    Features :
    • Protects your PSP display without adding bulk
    • Soft neoprene inner lining
    • PSP buttons and headphone jack still accessible for playing MP3s
    • Easy on/easy off - custom design locks into place, and folds flat for compact storage
    • Designed to fit most carrying cases
    • Foldable clips for easy storage

    It also features :
    • Aluminum Construction - The Aluminum construction provides long lasting protection
    • Lightweight - Lightweight materials add no bulk or weight to the PSP
    • Rubberized Interior - The rubberized underside keeps dust, dirt and fingerprints from collecting
    • Functional Design - Protects the screen while still allowing use of the buttons for playing mp3s.

Quality/Usability : The design of the Screen Armor is pretty simple. It has an aluminum front with rubber interior and clips onto the front of the PSP with two little flaps on the top and bottom. The top flap has two little nubs that fit into the screw holes, the bottom has a nub that sits in the screw hole and both fit in behind the little silver ring around the PSP.

The product itself looks great with the polished aluminum front (although I prefer it to be black - matches the system). The construction of it is pretty solid and doesn’t take much damage from anything.

Once the Screen Armor is on, there’s really no way to get it off besides lifting on one of the flaps. It’s pretty safe to say that if you had it in your backpack or pocket, you dont have to worry about it moving around or popping off. The Screen Armor definitely protects the screen. With it on, the screen is protected like Fort Knox, while the rest of the PSP is left to the outside world and ready to be molested by dust, fingerprints and potential scratches. So dont expect this to protect your PSP from the devil. This only protects the screen...hence the name "SCREEN Armor".

Conclusion : Overall, this does a great job at what its suppose to do. If you're looking for a complete protection of your PSP, look else where as this only protects your PSP screen.

    UMD Card Storage Vertical Stand
    Manufacturer : Dragonplus
    Site : Buy from Brando
    Price : $12.00

Overview : The Sony PSP storage stand will allow you to organise up to 12 UMD game discs, so you will always know where your games are. The stand will look extremely cool on your desk with its LED glow light built in (2 AAA batteries required).

    Features :
    • Up to 12 UMD discs can be stored.
    • Supreme blue LED light effect.
    • LED On/Off button.
    • Power Supply : 2 x AAA batteries.
    • Size : 23.7 x 8.5 cm
    • Weight : 188gm

Quality/Usability : Does what its intended to do. It holds up to 12 UMD disc. Its made of plastic and is very light. Nice little feature it has is the light up (glow). It requires 2 x AAA batteries and has a On/Off button for the light. The LED light itself illuminates from the bottom.

Conclusion : This is a great item for those who dont have a place to store their UMD discs or dont like to put them into their original case. I personally, dont own or will own 12 UMD disc so I really have no use for this. There are people out there who actually will own and will use this to store their disc into. Only problem is that since its so light, if you were to take a UMD out, the whole thing might tip over if you were to use one hand. A suction cup or something alike would be good to have used to keep the stand in place.

    Capdase Nylon S-Bracket Case
    Manufacturer: Capdase
    Site: Buy from Capdase
    Price: $14.90

Overview : Virtually identical to the S-Bracket Leather Case and Twins Case PSP case.

    Features :
    • Made of water-resistant nylon
    • Secure S-bracket attachment.
    • Flip up inner S-Bracket for easier UMD replacement.
    • Inner Cushion for Ultra Protection.
    • Belt loop and strap-connectable.
    • Easy installation and release.
    • Use as Theatre Stand.
    • Black color.

Quality/Usability : This case is virtually identical to the Leather S-Bracket Case (see review), except that is made of nylon and features a zipper closure instead of open sides and a tab closure. There’s no UMD flap on this case, but you can easily flip up the S-Bracket and open the UMD door to change discs.

This case is also exactly like the Twins PSP case except it doesnt have the accessories case attached to it. The case is extremely light, due to the nylon material, but a stiff material has been added between the fabric layers for extra protection. There’s a belt loop on the back, as well as a carabiner attachment (black carabiner is included).

Conclusion : Overall, this is a great case. Keeps dust out and protects the system very well. Whats a good thing about this is that you can use it as a stand to watch your movies. Too bad there is no memory stick or UMD slots for storage. If you're looking for an all-in-one which holds the PSP and accessories, check out the Twins case (see review).

    Features :

    • Secure S-Bracket attachment

    • Inner structure to store UMD, charger, Memory Stick and earphone
    • Detachable case can be used separately
    • Belt loop and strap-connectable

Quality/Usability : The PSP case itself is virtually identical to the Nylon S-Bracket Carry Case (see review). The PSP case virtually identical to the Nylon S-Bracket Carry Case and to the Leather S-Bracket Case (see review), except that it is made of nylon and features a zipper closure instead of open sides and a tab closure. There’s no UMD flap on this case, but you can easily flip up the S-Bracket and open the UMD door to change discs. The case is extremely light, due to the nylon material, but a stiff material has been added between the fabric layers for extra protection. A belt loop on the back, as well as a carabiner attachment (black carabiner is included).

The accessory case is made of the same black nylon material as the S-Bracket Carry Case, but has an interior designed to hold everything you need with a Sony PSP. The lid of the case has two pockets that hold two UMDs in each pocket, for a total of four games or movies. Each disc pockets has a small elastic pocket to store your Memory Stick Pro Duo/Duo. The bottom of the case houses two elastic straps to hold headphones, AC adapter, or any other small accessory securely in place without moving around.

The Twins case is formed by zipping the two cases together. Each one has one half of the zipper. When zipped together, they connect. To keep the case from flapping around even though they are zipped, there’s a small button that snaps onto the other case. When the Twins case are fully zipped and snapped together, they function as one case instead of two.

Conclusion : This is a nice all-in-one case. You can store everything and not have to worry about losing or misplacing things. Whats also great is that you can deattach the cases and take whatever you need/want for a light travel. If you dont need the accessory case and is interested in the nylon PSP case, Capdase sells that separately; Nylon S-Bracket Carry Case (see review).

    Capdase Leather S-Bracket Case
    Manufacturer: Capdase
    Site: Buy from Capdase
    Price: $17.90

Overview : Virtually identical to Nylon S-Bracket Carry Case (see review). Made of genuine leather. Features a plastic bracket that holds the PSP system in place. Easily accessible back to UMD door.

    Features :
    • Made of Genuine Leather
    • Flip-Top Case with S-Bracket attachment
    • Magnetric Closure
    • Openable Back Cover with Hidden Magnetic Closure
    • Inner Cushion for Ultra Protection
    • Available in black, white or pink

Quality/Usability : This case is virtually like the Nylon S-Bracket Carry Case. Unlike most cases, this case features a plastic bracket to hold the PSP securely. It's very easy to attach the PSP by just snapping it into the bracket. The small openings on the top and bottom of the PSP are filled with plastic pegs to hold the PSP in place. But dont worry, the plastic bracket even has openings for your USB and IR receiver, so you dont have to take out your PSP. You can hold the case upside down and shake it around without having to fear that your precious PSP will fall out.

The back of the case has a small flap. It allows you to easily change UMDs without having to remove the PSP from the S-Bracket. It's held closed by two magnets on each side that holds it in place. With most cases you have to remove the PSP from the case to change UMDs. This gives one less task for PSP owners to fiddle with.

To close and protect the PSP, it has a magnetic snap on button on the tab to hold it close. There are also some some extra padding over the screen, inside the flap to protect the PSP from any accident bumps over the screen.

Conclusion : This is a very nice case. Its very well crafted and very nice workmanship. It may feel awkward at times with the flap dangling. The idea of the UMD back cover is a great idea. Especially for those lazy ones who hate having to do extra work. Everything is pretty much accessible without having to take out the PSP. But the having an opening on the USB is another great idea. If you're in the market for a nice stylish case, be sure to check out the Leather S-Bracket. ...

    Capdase Deluxe UMD Protective Case
    Manufacturer: Capdase
    Site: Buy from Capdase
    Price: $5.99

Overview : Holds up to two UMD game and/or movies or holds one UMD and up to two memory sticks. Cases are even stackable.

    Features :
    • Designed for UMD Game Disk
    • Exclusive "Press & Take" Design
    • Unlimited Stacking System
    • Removable rubber pad for MS Duo Cards
    • 2 Holder Per Pack
    • Available in black and white

Quality/Usability : The protective case is available in two colors, black and white. It can hold up to two UMD movies and/or games in separate compartments which features a swivel design. A clear cover lets you see what’s in the top compartment, while the included labels can be attached to the side of the bottom compartment for easy identification. To access the disc(s), just swing open the compartment and turn the unit over to remove it.

Whats great about this case is that you can attach multiple UMD cases to each other to create stacks that hold four, six, or more UMDs. All you have to do is just remove the clear top of the case you want to attach to the bottom of another, and snap them together. You can separate them again, but it may take a little force to take them apart.

Another great feature about this case is that each case also comes with an optional foam insert shaped like a UMD that is capable of holding two Memory Stick Pro Duo/Duo cards. So you can hold one UMD and up to two memory sticks or two UMDs. Whichever is to your likings

Conclusion : This has to probably be the best design I have seen. Its nice, sleek, creative and very easy to use. Whats so great about this case is that its stackable AND it even holds up to two memory sticks. What more can you ask for. If you need a case to hold your UMDs and/or memory sticks, this is the case to get. ...

    MisticAudio OTG Series PSP Case
    Manufacturer: MisticAudio
    Site: Buy from MisticAudio
    Price: $32.95

Overview : High quality leather case with storage for extra UMD and two Memory Stick Duos. Also features built-in stand and extra smooth lining.

    Features :
    • Play thru design
    • UMD/Memory Stick storage
    • Built-In stand
    • Magnetic closure
    • Soft Lining

Quality/Usability : If you have read my previous review on Capdase's Leather S-Bracket Case, this case is pretty much similiar. The OTG case features a secure magnetic closure on the front and back. The interior of the case is lined with a soft velvet lining. On the flap of the OTG case, it houses two slots for memory sticks.

The PSP slides into the OTG leather case from the top. The PSP is held tightly in place with all the buttons easily accessible. Only problem is once the PSP is in the case, accessing the PSP memory stick is a little hard. To access the UMD door, simply unsnap the buttons similar to the Leather S-Bracket Case. On the black flap, it houses a little pouch that can hold a UMD of your choice.

With the PSP in the OTG case, the comfort of holding the PSP is very comfortable. Its not bulky at all. The front leather flap serves as a good protection as well as a stand.

Conclusion : Overall, the MisticAudio OTG PSP Case is a very well made leather case considering it has two memory stick holders and a UMD. Its a little pricey but than again, its a leather case. The case provides a good amount of protection front and back. If you plan on putting memory sticks onto the underside of the front flap, I suggest getting a screen protector because it has a potential of scratching the screen. ...

    Logic3 Sound Grip
    Manufacturer: Logic3
    Site: Buy from Logic3
    Price: $34.99

Overview : Logic3 Sound Grip, a portable speaker system which incorporates handgrips to ensure that PSP won’t slip out of hands during gameplay.

Sony’s PSP fits into this Sound Grip, maintaining elegant style, design, and contours the console. Sound Grip allows easy access to all controls and has ports for earphones and power. Includes stand, batteries and carry-case.

I know most of you are probably mad about the internal speakers on the PSP with how low the volume is, right? You're probably looking for a way to boost up the volume so you can hear, right? Well than lets start and see if this is the right product for you.

    Features :
    • Portable Speaker and Grip for PSP
    • 1W RMS (0.5+0.5W) - 2 Myra speaker drivers
    • High Quality Class D amplifier
    • Mains / Battery operated - 2xAAA batteries (supplied), or can be used with PSP AC Adaptor.
    • Pass through ports for Power & Earphones
    • Stand for display
    • Case to carry Sound Grip, PSP console & accessories.

Quality/Usability : The Sound Grip comes with a carry case as well as two (2) AAA batteries. The look of the grip is sleek and form fitting with the PSP. The PSP secures itself to the Sound Grip by plugging into the power and headphone jacks but there is also a clear plastic latch that goes ontop of the PSP. This latch is spring operated, so you'll have to hold the latch up when inserting the PSP and when you let go, the latch places itself right above the PSP. The latch as openings for the IR port, USB and UMD door button. There is a big opening on the back of the grip which allows the UMD door to open without having to take the PSP out. Whats great about the Sound Grip is that you have the ability to charge the PSP through the grip as well as the inclusion of the headphone jack which is located on the back of the grip.

You must be wondering how it feels in the hands. I must say, the Sound Grip feels very comfortable. But than again, it all depends on how you hold your PSP and how big your mitts are. All buttons are accessible when it is placed into the Sound Grip. Only thing not accessible is the memory stick slot. The power switch and volume controls are located at the bottom of the PSP.

The speakers themselves are a whole lot better than the stock speakers on the PSP in terms of volume. The clarity of the speakers unfortunately arent as good as the PSP's stereo speakers. As with any portable speakers, if you set the volume very high or to the max, expect sound distortion especially with the volume set high on the Sound Grip and on the PSP.

Batteries are placed on the right side of the grip on the other side the where your PSP battery would be. When turned on, a blue LED is shown on the front, above the Logic3 logo.

Also included is a stand to hold the Sound Grip and PSP. This is great for those who want louder sound for watching movies but at the same time wanting to relax without holding it the PSP.

Conclusion : Overall, this is a very good product for those looking for portable speakers to boost up the volume on your PSP. The design is well made and very comfortable in the hands but lacks in stereo quality sound. But for those who are looking for a boost in volume, I suggest getting the Sound Grip.

    Logic3 2.1 Sound System
    Manufacturer: Logic3
    Site: Buy from Logic3
    Price: $79.99

Overview : Logic3 Sound System, a combined portable 2.1 speaker system and recharging docking-station designed exclusively for Sony’s PSP to create a ‘mini theatre’ to play movies or music.

This system produces astounding sound using a high class amplifier, deep bass sub-woofer and 3D surround-sound circuitry to pack a punch more powerful than its compact size suggests. Includes mains adaptor, carry-case and line-in cable.

    Features :
    • 2.1 Sub-woofer Speaker System
    • 12 Watts RMS
    • Operates from AC Adaptor (included) or Batteries 4xAA (not included)
    • Internal 3D surround sound processor
    • Docking station for PSP re-charging
    • Blue soft-light illumination
    • 3.5mm Stereo line-in for playing other audio devices like MP3, MD, CD player. etc
    • Dimensions: 104 x 278 x 38mm (H x W x D)
    • Weight - 550g
    • 3.5mm Stereo Line-in (Cable provided) to allow gameplay , or play back of other audio devices including MP3, CD player, MiniDisc etc.
    • Carry Case for Sound System & PSP console.

    Subwoofer - 2.5” Woofer 4ohm :
    • 6 Watts RMS

    Satellite Speakers - 30mm full range speaker 4ohm :
    • Neodymium aluminium speaker cones
    • 6 Watts RMS

    Control features :
    • Blue LED Power indicator
    • Volume up/down
    • Power on/off
    • 3D Surround Sound on/off

Quality/Usability : As you can see, Logic3 used a folding design for portability and compactness. When the Sound System is unfolded from its compact form, the subwoofer (middle speaker) folds down and reveals the dock which includes headphone jack and power jack. A big factor when it comes to using the Sound System to watch movies is that it comes with its own AC adaptor to power the speakers as well as charging the PSP at the same time. Another great feature is the in-line jack. If you're not using the Sound System for your PSP, you can hook up your iPod, MP3/CD player or audio device and use it as a speaker system.

Now onto the audio. With the addition of the subwoofer, the bass is alot louder. The sound is clear and crisp. The Sound System features a “3D” button that sends sound to a processor that causes it to have a surround sound effect, which works nicely. Just like any portable speaker system, its not suppose to be as your main sound system so dont expect to be using this at a party or anything. Putting the speakers to the max does distort the sound a little but at the same time, is very loud.

As this is a portable speaker, whats another way to power the speakers? Of course, batteries. The speakers take four (4) AA batteries, which arent included. I tested the speakers to see how long they will last. Mind you, I tested them on and off whenever I need them. Battery life running on 4xAA batteries is approximately 15-20 hours. This outlasts your PSP and probably even your MP3 player.

Conclusion : Overall, this is a pretty good portable speaker system especially with the subwoofer. With this, your PSP experience would not be the same. The battery life is excellent, the compatibility of using other audio devices with these speakers are great and the nice sleek look is a PLUS. Only thing hampering this product from getting a 10 out of 10 is the size. Its so HUGE. Not to mention the HUGE price tag it comes with, $79.99. It would of been better if it included a remote. I can only dream right? So if you're in the market for portable speakers and have the extra cash to dish out, I suggest taking a peek at this.
