DCDayDreamer has gone trough our huge Covers Gallery and made some new category's for easier browsing. Many new covers where added, including a cover for our latest release (DEP: Sega 8bit edition). But not only covers for our own releases can be found. It also features covers for almost every emulator, homebrew game, application, Beats of Rage mods and many more!

Square Enix announced today that it will release the sequel to its Slime Morimori Dragon Quest: Shougeki No Shippo Dan on the Nintendo DS. The game is tentatively set to be named Slime Morimori Dragon Quest 2, and no release date or price has been provided for it yet.
The original Slime Morimori Dragon Quest was released on the Game Boy Advance in November of 2003. Gamers controlled the Dragon Quest series' Slime character--a ball of sludge--and adventured using various actions that took advantage of its elastic form, such as stretching out and recoiling.
Specific details and screenshots on Slime Morimori Dragon Quest 2 haven't been released yet, but the game will play like the original and will take full advantage of the DS's double screen. Okay, so I now give you a second way to quickly get up and going with NDS Devlepement... a single setup file.
This is currently in BETA! It will probably work, but who knows?! This will only install on Windows 2000 or Windows XP. Make sure you do NOT have DevkitARM or MSys already installed. Do not use any spaces in the directory name.

The move to VBulletin has now provided us with a new news system for posting news, from now on any authors or Dreamcast website owners who feel that they would like to post news then please tell me so i can add you as a mod to enable you to post news on the site.
The forums will have a new look soon and the fabled V2 of the site is still in development, many thanks to our server admin and host Martin64 for all the help in the last few days.

Ron the co porter of the AtariST emulator for the Dreamcast messaged me on MSN to tell me of a new release of DCaSTaway, heres whats new (translation time):
The new features are: - the function of reading of files has been added breaks and for it release it final will be possible to be generated from Windows or linux. - enormous Amount of games and programs that work at the moment on the DCaSTaway, practicamente works everything to frame constant and flowed rating. - High compatibility with I patch of the controller of teclado/joy and the description of the games. To finish expensive to END RELEASE: - To purify the mouse, breaks it of descriptions and to keep games.

Steve has released a beta version of his port of DarcNes the Nes emulator to the UIQ Phones, this release fixes a color problem with P800 phones.

My very good friends at our sister site DCEvolution have done it again and released an excellent Homebrew rom package for the Dreamcast that you would think was commercial quality, heres the news from DCEvolution:
In association with the great people at smspower.org we present to you the ultimate image with everything Sega 8bit console related! Christusloeser started almost a year ago on this complete image and got help from many people of the scene along the way. With the recent release of SMS Plus DC 0.2 we finally could finish of this image.
This what you can find in the compilation:
- About 100 SMS / GG / SG1000 ROMS, varying from complete games to demos
- To be played with the included emulators: SMS Plus DC 0.2, SMEG 0.84 and Dream-O-Rama
- Lot's of great nostalgic commercials for the Master System, Game Gear and the SG 1000
- A special DCEvolution SMS VGM Player version
- To round it off, several tools, lots of source codes and other stuff
Again this release couldn't be done with the help of many great people and we at DC Evolution would like to thank them all for their contributions.
