After an in-principle agreement was reached by the Attorneys-General, the Australian Law Reform Commission (ALRC) has been drafting points on the new policy on R18+.
On the ALRC web site, a list of the key principles being adhered to for the creation of the new R18+ guidelines has been posted, with people able to comment on any of the proposed points until 2nd September (this Friday).
Obvious points such as adults being able to play what they want and protecting children from harmful images are present, but a couple of the more interesting points are as follows:

• 'The regulatory and classification framework needs to be responsive to technological change and adaptive to new technologies, platforms and services.' This point is likely to indicate a move away from previously foolhardy attempts to regulate downloadable content, especially on handheld devices.

• 'The classification framework should not impede competition and innovation, and not disadvantage Australian media content and service providers in international markets.' Recognition that our restrictive ratings system causes unique skus to be made up for our region, games to never make it to our shores, edits to be made and release dates to be shifted is long overdue, and should see retail able to compete more directly with international web sites and other delivery platforms locally.

[Evan Flint] and his wife use a lot of online recipes in the kitchen. Rather than printing them out, they bought an iPad as a cooking companion. But in their cramped kitchen he needed to find a place for the high-end hardware that is out-of-the-way yet accessible. Some head scratching and parts bin diving led to this under-cabinet iPod dock.
The dock itself is a cradle made out of sheet aluminum. After cutting to shape, [Evan] bent up the sides and bottom to center the iPad. Since this is not a permanent fixture he needed to make the cradle collapsible. He used a CAD program to design the base tray to let the cradle lay flat, while giving several options to the angle when it is in use. Once the cooking is done just fold it up and the drawer slides make for easy under-cabinet storage.
Because he doesn’t own the house he didn’t want to make permanent alterations to the cabinet. But he does lament the unfinished look of the drawer slides. We’d just grab some pre-finished oak crown molding from the home store and wrap the entire thing. The left-edge of molding could slide out with the cradle when in use.

The Ambassador Programme - Nintendo's way of compensating early adopters for the 3DS price drop - begins on September 1. Nokia temporarily closed its developer network after it was hacked and user information compromised. The company said members' personal information including dates of birth, email and Skype addresses may have been stolen, but that no credit card details were taken. "A database table containing developer forum members' email addresses has been accessed, by exploiting a vulnerability in the bulletin board software that allowed an SQL Injection attack," the company said. "Initially we believed that only a small number of these forum member records had been accessed, but further investigation has identified that the number is significantly larger.

Microsoft has announced plans to bundle a downloadable copy of Tetsuya Mizuguchi’s musical shooter Child Of Eden with the current Kinect hardware offering, which includes Kinect Adventures. Launching in all Xbox Live regions excluding Japan, where Child Of Eden has yet to be released, the new bundle will begin appearing in stores next week for the same price as the existing one, “available in limited quantities and while supplies last”. Im sure those of you who have followed us over the years know of the multiple hackings last October/November.

In February we upgraded to the new VBulletin 4 suite with built in CMS and Blogs and while that went well and our visitor numbers went up the site lost a lot as the redirections basically meant you werent getting the page you desired.

At that time we pulled all our subsites and linked them all under the main DCEmu url.

In april we were again hacked and this time the site was offline and redirected to these hacker sites, we did what we could and redirected them to our own Gaming and Gadgets site and DCEmu.com.

For nearly a month this happened and this badly hurt our place in google and lost a heck of a lot of visitors.

Since then i have been working at getting VBExternal working with VB4 and apart from the stats, which shows less online than the reality, the sites are back to full status.

At present all these DCEmu Sites are back at full health:

Breaking story directly from the latest issue of Nintendo Power. Atari and n-Space have decided to bring the Rollercoaster Tycoon series to the Nintendo 3DS. It's a very popular theme park creation sim previously released for PC's. This is an original entry in the series, not a port. The game will be in full 3D and you can apparently ride the rides in first person (in 3D of course). The details we know are as follows-

- published by Atari
- developed by n-Space
- 3D view for coasters
- uses touchscreen controls
- original game built from the ground up for 3DS using new assets
- several coaster design options including suspended, hydraulic, wooden, steel and inverted
- monorails, prebuilt kiddie rides, carousels and county fair-style attractions

- handle ride construction and park maintenance
- hire and manage staff (janitors, mechanics and more)

Cards Of Incantation, formally known as WagicDS, is a strategy Magic card game for the NDS. Please see the change log for more information about this update.

Restarts the draft set of Magic cards for our NDS. Because of the problems it was causing her previous name (WagicDS), I decided to rename it so you can follow it without problems, to avoid possible accusations of plagiarism, use of "fame" and others.
