A demo of Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage is available to download from the Xbox Live Marketplace now.

Queue it up here so it's ready for you when you get home.

In June publisher Tecmo Koei told Eurogamer that Fist of the North Star will retain the Japanese voice-overs when is heads west this autumn.

A spokesperson for the company told us fans had been "begging" for this. Fist of the North Star will also be fully voiced in English.

The game spins the Japanese Manga with a Dynasty Warriors twist. You're a hard-as-nails karate bloke with a bare chest and a weird hand. And you'll be punching through droves of enemies and racking up bloody combos galore.

I vaguely remember the original animation. Wasn't there a bit when a skyscraper fell on a bloke's head, and some guy punched some other guy's belly so fast it opened a hole in it?

Level-5's announced a 3DS Professor Layton Phoenix Wright crossover game.

It's called Professor VS Gyakuten saiban, and is a joint effort by Level-5 and Capcom, according to 1UP.

At a press conference in Tokyo the Japanese developer showed anime cut scenes. It's described as a combination of puzzles and crime mystery.

Shu Takumi, the main developer of the core Ace Attorney series, is in charge of writing the game's scenario. He used the key word "Majo Saiban" or "Witch Trial" in English, while on stage.

Level-5's president Akihiro Hino described the crossover as like two TV shows getting together and making a movie.

A somewhat shakey snap of an image of the game taken from Level-5's conference is below. Yes, we know. Bonkers.

Sony has told PS3 owners how to fix the Hunting and Trading pack for Red Dead Redemption released accidentally in an incomplete form.

The issue has since been rectified, but early adopters may be experiencing problems, such as days in game resets, missions cannot be started and gang hideouts empty with the message to return later – that sort of thing.

"If you are affected by any of these issues, check your Days Passed stat," advised Sony. "If it has been reset to -2 or appears low for the amount of real-life time you have played, then that is the cause of the rest of the issues.

"The final version of the Hunting and Trading pack is 59MB. The incomplete version is 15MB and should be deleted before downloading the final version."

Remember, deleting the unfinished Hunting and Trading pack game data utility from the cross media bar does not delete your saved game or affect your game progress.

The Hunting and Trading Outfits Pack is a free DLC released last week. It adds the Savvy Merchant and Expert Hunter outfits for use in single-player as well as related challenges.

It also features a new animal that's been added to the frontier: the elusive Jackalope.

The unfinished version of the pack was released on 1st September on the European PlayStation Store and was taken down a day later.

The developers of the popular mobile social networking tool TweetDeck have hit back after Apple CEO Steve Jobs claimed Android 'fragmentation' represented a 'daunting challenge' to developers.
In a controversial appearance in an earnings call, the Apple boss delivered a surprising set of criticisms against rivals from Google's Android, to 7-inch tablets and Blackberry-maker RIM. Jobs spent the most time discussing Android, calling the open/closed operating system speak from Google 'disingenuous' and a 'smoke screen' against the real issue, Android version fragmentation.
As one of the key arguments, Jobs pointed to the recent release of the TweetDeck client on Android. “They reported that they had to contend with more than a hundred different versions of Android software on 244 different handsets,” he said. “The multiple hardware and software iterations present developers with a daunting challenge. “
TweetDeck CEO Iain Dodsworth fired back in a tweet: “ Errr nope, no we didn't. It wasn't.” Dodsworth pointed out that the Android client was developed by just two people.
In a rather more cryptic response to the criticisms made by Jobs, Google's Android chief Andy Rubin tweeted a 'definition of open' before including the technical command line which would download the Android source code and build the open source OS from scratch for anyone.

Remember that whole Mario 25th anniversary thing? Nintendo's not ready to let you forget. It's just launched a new official 25th anniversary website that challenges you to make Mario-themed flipnotes.

The retro-decorated site, full of sprites from Super Mario Bros. 1, asks DSi and DSi XL owners to use the DSiWare Flipnote Studio software to create their little animations, in combination with some sound effect samples it provides.

You need to send them in to Nintendo between now and November 19 - although it doesn't mention any form of prize for the best ones, so we presume it's just for fun and Nintendo will post your creations on the site.

Head through the source link below for full instructions.

Electronic Arts' reboot of the Medal of Honor franchise has sold over 1.5 million units in the US, Asia and Europe.

The numbers come after five days on sale in North America and only two days in Europe - to celebrate, the publisher is making the first downloadable content for the game free to those players that have registered the game's Online Pass.

"Medal of Honor is one of EA's most storied franchises and we're thrilled to see that fans worldwide have embraced it," commented Frank Gibeau, president of EA.

"In this ultra competitive category, Medal of Honor stands out from the pack. By portraying the Tier 1 Operator as so elite, so tough, Medal of Honor offers a view into a world that has the power to resonate with FPS gamers everywhere."

Reviews of the game have been generally positive, with GamesIndustry.biz sister site Eurogamer.net stating the game "can lay claim to qualified success as an interesting vertical slice of the US military machine."

Apple's all aglow with its fiscal triumphs, but that's nothing new. Here's something else that follows the Cupertino company like night follows the day: Verizon iPhone rumors. Boy Genius Report claims it's heard from one of its "solid Apple sources" that iPhone 3,2 (seen previously in iOS code) has hit "AP testing phase," which reportedly means final hardware and near-final software. Said source also claims it has a SIM card slot, which would be fine except for BGR's assertion that 3,2 is the oft-rumored CDMA iPhone -- you know, the one that Wall Street Journal is all but certain is coming next year. So how might these two apparently contradictory elements form some tangible paradox machine? One possibility the publication is suggesting is a CDMA / GSM dual-mode "global" phone that'd work on virtually all major carriers. Then again, it could just be a GSM iPhone 4 with some design finagling (antenna revision?). If any of this pans out, that is, but at least you can say you witnessed the Verizon iPhone rumor merging with existing iPhone 4 to form a mythical "carrier Voltron" device. Or something like that.

Repeatedly viewing violent scenes in videogames could make aggression "more acceptable" in teenagers, a new US study suggests.

The National Institutes of Health study of 22 boys aged 14 to 17 found that showing dozens of violent clips in film, television or videogames appeared to blunt brain responses, reports the BBC.

Dr Jordan Grafman said it might make aggression feel more "acceptable".

"The implications of this include the idea that continued exposure to violent videos will make an adolescent less sensitive to violence, more accepting of violence, and more likely to commit aggressive acts since the emotional component associated with aggression is reduced and normally acts as a brake on aggressive behaviour," he said.

The conclusion was countered by Professor David Buckingham, Director of the Centre for the Study of Children, Youth and Media, who said, "The suggestion is that, over a period of time, people can develop a kind of tolerance to these images - but another word for that is just boredom."

The study focused on a debate that has rages for years now: do violent videogames make those who experience them more violent?

So far, almost all studies have failed to find a conclusive answer.

This NIH study involved 60 violent scenes, mostly involving street brawling and fist fights. The violence was ranked "low", "mild" or "moderate", and there were no "extreme" scenes. The response of the boys as they watched the clips was measured in a number of ways.

The longer the boys watched the videos the less they responded to the violence within them. In particular, an area of the brain known as the lateral orbitofrontal cortex, thought to be involved in emotional processing, showed less activity to each clip as time went on.

"This debate has been going on since before we were all born," said Professor Buckingham. "In the 19th Century people were panicking about the effect of 'Penny Dreadfuls'.

"If we are truly interested in violence and aggression, rather than blaming the media for everything wrong in the world, we need to look at what motivates it in real life."

In March 2008, following the publication of her report investigating the effect of violence in the media on children, Dr Tanya Byron warned against holding games accountable for society's problems.

Byron said, "Let's stop blaming industry for things industry isn't responsible for, that's number one. "Number two, the industry has worked really positively with me. I do believe this industry does not intend to corrupt young people. Number three, I think there's a positive that adult games are created with adult content for adults to play."

Reports overnight that retail copies Call of Duty: Black Ops have been stolen from a factory in Alabama appear to have been a load of rubbish, judging by conflicting posts by semi-literate gentlemen on various Xbox 360 hacking forums.

Yesterday Hooked Gamers chronicled events surrounding hacker forum members "Ungodly Leaker" and "97SIRHB". The former supposedly had the game disc in his hands, and was credited with leaking Halo: Reach pre-release, while both he and 97SIRHB apparently conversed with Treyarch community man Josh Olin, who was said to be seeking information on hacker groups and making threats.

However, in a rambly "final statement to all the fans and media and Treyarch" repeated on the Se7ensins forum, Ungodly Leaker said that while he was contacted by somebody claiming to have a copy of the game, it was "never in our hands".

"It did how ever hit the hands of the Runner (the Computer guy) and according to him FBI came and Took It (RIGHT!!) Ha Ha Ha." Ha ha ha indeed. Also sic. "After speaking with Josh [Olin] no FBI are involved at all but he wants tto know were we got the game from.... NO WERE it landed in our laps but we were scammed END OF Story...." Was this guy in Ocean's Eleven?

Activision has yet to comment on all this, and we don't expect it to do so, because everyone concerned appears to be madder than a bag of hammers.

Piracy of Xbox 360 games has been a problem for several years, with most major releases hitting newsgroups and torrents well ahead of release. Halo: Reach is the most prominent recent example, appearing in the wild over three weeks ahead of its release date.

PlayStation 3 is no longer immune to the problem either following the release of PSJailbreak, although publishers including Electronic Arts are already taking steps to reduce the firmware-snubbing device's potency.
