    Kasumi has posted an entry into the Neoflash Summer 2009 coding comp

    Nickname: Kasumi
    Projet name: Lakeside
    From: United States
    Division: PSP GAME
    Support Motion: NO
    Original entry: YES
    In last NEO Compo this project have won in the top 10: NO

    Lakeside is a project I've been working on for a while now. I'm a bit sad because there's next to no gameplay at the moment. I'll try get something up for tomorrow though. It's a very cool little map editor right now though.

    A video of one of the maps.: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2VuDGJpVROE

    A video of the sprite Editor: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fAtGmIDEeGI

    There are videos of other parts of the map editor, but they're much different now.

    Please at least read the readme. If you want to use the map editor, read everything else. I rushed this link up in time, but since I most likely still have tomorrow there's some other documentation I need to add. (Features to come, and more known bugs) And I'll try to get a demo with REAL gameplay done by tomorrow. No promises on that.

    For now on the map that's loaded when the game is started there are only really a few things you can do besides talk to everyone.

    1. Find all three enterable buildings. (Yep, just three).

    2. Get the one item available

    As for the included maps, Mapset 0, map 1 is a way to see the tiles in each set. Mapset 0, map 2 is my script test room. (Disable the Map Editor after its loaded to see the text). Alternative Open Map 6 with the debug menu so you don't have to enable and disable the map editor. If you read through the text there and see how it works, it may help understand the scripts. Or... it may just confuse you.

    Arrpirate has posted an entry into the Neoflash Summer 2009 coding comp

    Nickname: ArrPirate
    Project name : Lights Off!
    From : USA
    Division : NDS Game
    Original entry : YES
    Support Motion : NO
    In last NEO Compo this project have won in the top 10 : NO

    Description:

    This is my version of Lights Out. It has several variants built in. You can change variants by using the sliders to the right of the game board and you play the game by trying to turn off all of the lights.

    When you click on a button it toggles between its different light settings (in the most basic mode, this is a simple on/off action, but in the more advanced variants there are multiple light states). Not only that, but the lights to either side of it toggle as well.

    Simple Strategy:

    In the most basic mode a simple strategy is to click directly below the lights that are on, starting at the top and moving to the bottom. Repeat as necessary until you solve the puzzle. You may have to click on random buttons up at the top of the screen if you run out of lights using this strategy.

    Original entry : YES

    Description: Simple game where you must find differences between two images.
    Very easy to understand how to play, just fine the difference...
    Two mode, time trial or arcade, 3 levels of difficult, and lot of image ( ~100 ).

    Story mode and Wifi mode not work actually (maybe before the dead line... But not sure)

    Use DLDI, read the readme.txt to install it (at the root folder).

    Thank to kukulcan for the original idea, images and motivation.

    LaPatateInc has updated the entry into the Neoflash Summer 2009 coding comp:

    Nickname: LaPatateInc
    Project name : You Have To Burn The Rope DS
    From : Canada (Quebec)
    Division : NDS/GBA GAME
    Original entry : YES
    Support Motion : NO, unfortunatly.
    In last NEO Compo this project have won in the top 10 : NO

    MAJOR UPDATE

    Changelog :
    ----------------------------=============================----------------------------
    -6 new mods
    =>27-Seconds timer. -- 0 Achievements
    =>Having a pistol instead of axes. -- 5 Achievements
    =>Low Gravity -- 5 Achievements
    =>Automatic walking -- 10 Achievements
    =>Olympic mod ( Really fun =D ) -- 12 Achievements NOTE : DESACTIVATE ALL OTHER MODS
    =>Secret AWESOME mod, find how to activate it -- 5 Achievements NOTE : DESACTIVATE ALL OTHER MODS
    -A new special achievement : Chassing those stars.
    => You need to collect 5 stars all scaterred around the "world".

    -Various bugfixes, majority of them are graphical-only. These are being fixed :
    =>Walking backward while being hit.
    =>Gravity not being correct when being hit.
    =>Passing through wall when super-jump and hyperspeed was activated.
    =>Some other I don't remember.
    ----------------------------=============================----------------------------

    Description:
    It's a remake of the famous game on PC, You Have To Burn The Rope. Originaly, the game is pretty simple and take no time to finish it. What I wanted to do is recreate this game with additionnal functions to add some replayability :
    -A map on the top screen or Double-Screen
    -16 achievements
    -16 game modificators
    -You can skip the ending video
    -A main menu and a pause button.
    -You can move camera a little using the Touch Screen.

    Controls are shown in-game, except for the camera.
    I'm really, really sorry, but I couldn't add saving because it didn't work on a real DS. The library is kind of broken. I've done a "quick save" so that when you succeed 5,10 and All achievements, it gives you a code to write down. If you do this, even if you do achievements, it won't add to your total. The purpose of this code is only that you won't need to re-do achievements if you want to play a Modificator.
    Oh, did I said you need a number of achivement to unlock mods ?
    Mods are pretty fun, I think. Some achievements are disabled when activated, some are needed to have an achievement.
    A page shows you all the achievements names, it's up to you to discover how to do it. Some are fun, some are tough =D

    There may be some glitches but it shouldn't. I know there is some graphical one that I can't really fix...
    I would like some feedback right in this topic.
    I hope everyone will like the game !

    Now you can use your psp as a metronome which is designed with nice background and some options to suit the elegance of the psp.

    To download pls copy paste the following link in your web browser:

    http://www2.zippyshare.com/v/2182158...]Metronome.zip

    This is a Lua based metronome, hence you have to extract the folder in the game/luaplayer/ folder using winzip. Do not drag drop the file in the destination folder, rather extract it to the destination folder as the script.lua needs to be in the destination folder and rest of the files need to be in the folder named "Metronome".

    It has worked fine in Luaplayer V.18 and in my psp slim (2000), although i had to replace the luaplayer/Eboot.pbp with the LuaPlayerHM v3 Eboot.pbp for the V.18 to work.

    If you face problems regarding lua send me an email and i will send you luaplayer and luaplayer% along with the other files so that you don't have to worry about which luaplayer to use and all you have to do is put the folders in the game folder. ...

    Our very own Uberjack the coder of so many emulators for the PSP posted this on his site:

    While I don’t plan on porting anything new anytime soon (although release of VICE PSP has flooded me with requests for an Atari ST emulator ), I do plan to release sporadic updates for the emulators I currently have out. Software development as a hobby is a double-edged sword – not being compelled to program tends to be a good motivator to program anyway, but when the learning ends, so does the desire to program for a particular platform/purpose. Go figure…

    fMSX PSP is probably next in line for a revamp – some of you may be aware that it is my personal favorite emulator (as is the system itself). The usual update to psplib is planned, but two things I feel have been long overdue are improved MegaROM autoselection, and even more importantly, a better saved state format. Because of the unpredictability of save states, I lost my SD Snatcher progress mid-way. Grrr…

    At some point, Caprice32 will be updated, but no idea when – the emulator hasn’t been updated for years, and my port doesn’t seem to be popular enough to warrant a rewrite.

    Since the release of RACE! PSP, I consider NeoPop dead, so it will not receive rewrites unless something magical happens.

    This is a classic spaceshooter. Very basic premise, you shoot things and they go boom. Don't get hit or you will too.

    Download Link:
    Mediafire Download

    Controls:
    R - fire (you can hold it too)
    A - Confirm Menu Selection
    D-Pad - Move Player / Select Menu (you can also touch the menu items)
    Start - pause
    Select - quit / return to menu (must do this after you die)

    Features:
    Campaign - My favorite game mode, featuring Items, Bosses and craziness.

    Blitz - Neverending stream of enemies that gets harder the longer you stay alive. Your weapons dont change, but do increase in speed

    Highscores - keeps track of you best scores in both game modes (still a WIP if I remember right)
