    News/release from jojojoris

    Hello erveybody,

Imagine: You are bored in boring math class. Your teacher is boring and the whole school is boring. You want to play a game on your psp. So you turn on your psp and then it happened. Last time you play on your psp you forget to turn the sound off. You hear the StartUp sound of your psp. The teacher heared it also and you have to gave your psp to the teacher.

To prevent this enormous annoyance you can use my newest homebrew.

    It's called "VolDown".

It's a small plugin which turns the vollume down to ZERO. After it had done it it unloads itselfe so is doesn't use any memory after it had one its task.

(I know you can also put earphones in but not everone had a earphone ready)

    INSTALLATION:
    ------------------

    Code:
    Step 1.
    Copy "VolDown.prx" to ms0:\seplugins\
    Step 2.
Add the following line to ms0:\seplugins\vsh.txt:
    ms0:\seplugins\VolDown.prx
(you don't have to add this line to game.txt)
    Step 3.
    Turn off your PSP.
    Step 4.
Hold R while you turn your psp on again.
    Step 5.
In recovery go to plugins and enable VolDown.prx
    Step 6.
    Close recovery.
    Step 7.
In XMB turn the volume to maximum.
    Step 8.
    RestartYour PSP.
    Step 9.
    Confirm that it works.
    Step 10.
Jump 3 times in the air and post a comment where you say that this has saved your life.

    News/release from Ardatan:

You know, Sony limits our memory in Internet Browser. So we cannot play big flash games and open big web sites.
This mod removes this limitation. And you can use all of the memory that your PSP has.
If your PSP is Fat, the HighMemMod uses all of 32 MB RAM.
If your PSP is Slim, the HighMemMod uses all of 64 MB RAM!!!

    That's very interesting, isn't it?

Now the browser loads your pages in very short seconds!
You can play your online flash games fast...

The program is beta so it may be buggy. If you see any problems, please reply this topic
-Copy HtmlMax_Eng to PSP/GAME folder and enjoy...

    **Thanks***
    -Dark-Alex for his ramtestsample...(Large Memory)
    -PSPSDK creators...(SDK, DEV and samples)
-JK108 and Lelouch15 for their support and test(They are my testers)

Ys is making a major return on the PSP later this year. We (as in the royal we) have known that much for the last couple of weeks. Today, Falcom at long last shared the specifics, complete with screens and artwork.

As peviously detailed, the classic franchise, which tells the story of red-haired Adol Christin and his exploits in the surroundings of the ancient land of Ys, will hit the Japanese PSP through two titles this year. First up is Ys I&II Chronicles, which arrives in July. This will be followed by Ys Seven in September.

Ys I&II Chronicles is a remake of a remake of the first two Ys games. The original remake which it remakes was released on Japanese Windows machines in 2001 (all of this has nothing to do with Ys Book I&II, which was developed by Hudson for the Turbo Grafx CD).

The remade PSP version adds a number of features. Players have access to four selectable difficulties, ranging from "easy" to "nightmare." Those who love their Ys combat can take part in a Boss Rush Mode which puts you up against a sequence of bosses.

Presentation is also seeing some changes for the PSP, with the ability to select between the Windows version's artwork for character dialog cut-ins or newly drawn PSP artwork. The options are even greater for music, as the game includes the very original PC-8801 tunes, the 2001 Windows version tunes, and all new PSP arrangements. These can be freely switched around as you play.

Despite all the changes, Ys I&II Chronicles will probably be familiar ground for Ys fans. For something completely new, we turn to Ys Seven, an all new entry in the series.

Adol is, of course, the main character once again, only he's now six year's older since his exploits in Ys I&II (yes, RPG heroes do age!). Adol and his friend Dogi travel to the Kingdom of Altago, which serves as the setting for their latest adventure.

Ys Seven is different from past Ys in that it uses a "party-based" battle system. Adol fights alongside two other characters who are controlled by the AI. Falcom hasn't mentioned anything about multiplayer.

Those other characters include Dogi and a new comer, Aisha, who happens to be a princess of the Altigo Kingdom but also happens to be good with a bow and arrow. There will be other playable characters beyond these two, but Falcom isn't talking.

As part of the game's story, though, Falcom has introduced Tia, a girl who sells herbs in Altigo City; Maya, a girl who lost her family in her childhood and went silent due to shock; and Scias, a legendary swordsman. They all sound like pretty nice candidates for battle partners. That includes Maya, who's apparently learned to swing her hands and body around in order to make up for her lack of words.

Since the launch of the Nintendo Channel for the Wii earlier this year, Nintendo has been providing a DS Download Service with demos of released and upcoming DS games. Wii owners can boot up the DS Download Service through the Nintendo Channel and download various playable demos directly to their Nintendo DS, using the Download Play option. It works in the same way as the in-store download stations. The third-party games get updated every week and we've got info on this week's batch to let you know a little more about what you're getting.

    The week of March 30

    Gardening Mama Demo
Mama's out of the kitchen and out in the backyard, and instead of cooking now you're planting flowers and produce. In the demo you're growing tulips. Follow along with the touch-screen instructions or Mama will shoot flames out of her eyes.

    Monsters vs. Aliens Demo
The Dreamworks film's coming out relatively soon, and to piggy back on that release Activision's put Griptonite to work on a DS game. The demo features the Missing Link as he uses his Spider-Man like skills to get through the alien structure.

    TrackMania DS Demo
What was once a PC phenomenon is now a Nintendo DS game. In the full product you'll get to test your arcade driving skills on a variety of different track settings (including your own creations). The demo that hit the Nintendo Channel is just a sampling of the gameplay within the final product.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nintendo also keeps a selection of first party titles up for download. They're not cycled out as often and most of them have been there since the Nintendo Channel launched.

    Rhythm Heaven Demo
From some of the team members responsible for the crazy Wario Ware series comes a brilliantly off the wall music-focused Nintendo DS that tests your tap-and-flick skills. The demo is surprisingly robust, walking you through not only the tutorial, but also offering up full versions of the first and second challenges...and an abridged version of the third. Don't forget to buy the game to encourage more crazy awesomeness from Nintendo.

    Personal Trainer: Cooking Lasagna Demo
The Nintendo DS cookbook is now available in stores, and to give owners a little taste test (ha ha) Nintendo's thrown a freebie demo of the software up on the Nintendo Channel where you can follow along, step by step, to make some truly kick-ass lasagna.

    Personal Trainer: Math Demo
If you're unsure if math can be fun on the Nintendo DS, give this demo a download: you'll take part in the game's Kageyama method in solving math problems using the touchscreen to hand write all the answers as quickly as possible.

    Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir
The demo offers one of the levels for the hide and seek portion of the game. Players are given five minutes to find eight items in the level. Upon completion, players can start again, and find eight different items. We played it three times without having to repeat items.

    Brain Age Demo
The older sibling of the Brain Age 2 demo. It's the same kind of deal. There's a Brain Age Test minigame that has players shout colors into the DS microphone. The training game is a simple math problem test that uses the touch screen to write. Sudoku is in this one too, which means you've got two free sudoku puzzles you can play if you get both demos.

Brain Age 2: More Training in Minutes a Day Demo
The Brain Age 2 demo features three quick play modes. There's the Brain Age Test that will give the player an approximate brain age based on a verbal match of rock, paper, scissors. There's also a quick play training mode that shows off the rotating letters minigame, complete with touch screen letter recognition. Finally the Quick play sudoku lets players enjoy a quick sudoku puzzle in one of the better presentations for the system.

    Flash Focus Demo
Flash Focus is a game designed to improve focus and hand-eye coordination. It features a simplified Eye Age test where players remember the direction letters are facing as they flash by on the screen. The training game is more hands on. It's a baseball minigame where players have to tap the ball to hit it. The pitches get harder each time the player connects with the ball and the game ranks you at the end.

    Crosswords DS Demo
For the non-Sudoku inclined, Crosswords DS features the classic crossword puzzles that have been gracing newspapers long before number puzzles. The demo features the classic Crosswords mode, one of three gameplay modes in the final version. Players can select the difficulty of the puzzle, as well as the option to turn on an assist mode that lets the player know if the answer is right or wrong. The whole demo uses the touch screen so players can see how well the letter recognition system works.

    News from Evil Dragon:

    Hiya!
Sorry for so little news during the last days, I did have very busy times.
I quit my job, so from April 1st, I've got more time for Pandora and my other job (which is TV commercial production).
However, this means I got more to do during the last week, as somebody needs to take on my old job.

Well, anyways, back to Pandora stuff. I received three new ribbon cables from Michael on last Monday but didn't have time until today to rebuild my Pandora devboard and put it into the case. But, it works now. So (except for the keymat I'm still missing), I also got working board in a case now.

I hope I'll find some time making a nice little HD video with Quake 3 and some other new emulator (you'll like it) during the next days.
You will also get to see a more finger-friendly matchbox-theme I designed.
Give me some time, though, still got a lot of work in real life.

Now, onto some other issue you already heard on the boards: The case.
You've seen it and you read it, it fits quite good (better than we expected) - but not PERFECT. There is SOME stuff to be fixed, but nothing that major.
We don't want to deliver a non-perfect case to you, though (and I'm sure you all agree), so we'll work on it for the next few days.
I'll also post the final keymap for you soon, so stay tuned - and thanks a lot for being so patient.

System 3 promises to release fresh content for Ferrari Challenge on the PlayStation Network this May.

Inside will be five shiny new Ferraris: 430 Scuderia, 599 GTB Fiorano, 612 Scaglietti Sessanta, 330 P4 and the Enzo Ferrari. We're told the latter regularly fetches over USD 1 million at auction and that it looks nice. And it does looks nice. And that Gizmondo bloke crashed one.

The renowned German racecourse Nüburgring will join those cars and offer up its 28km, 6-minute long circuit. This is often remembered for its long straight that leads into a scary blind bend.

System 3 says the cars and track will be available individually or as part of a DLC pack. Pricing and an exact date are still being worked out.

Ferrari Challenge launched on PlayStation 3 last July, and turned out to be very pretty and competent if a little dry and technical. ...
