Im sure many of you who own or did own a Dreamcast in its Heyday will remember a few of the games that Ron has posted that never saw the light of day, heres the full translated text inc a video of Max Payne that never arrived on Dreamcast:

With a resounding Release Date: Canceled, Remedy Entertainment, the company's game developer announced the cancellation of one of the most anticipated titles for the Sega Dreamcast by thousands of players.

Max Payne is an action game in the third person 3D environment and developed for the PC by the Finnish company Remedy Entertainment, produced by 3D Realms and published by Gathering of Developers in July 2001. The game also was taken to other platforms such as Xbox, Playstation 2, Game Boy Advance and Macintosh

This game started out in 1998, came to be presented at the E3 of that year, but when I was at an advanced stage of development (bad language say that it was above 60%), along with the announcement of Sega in which surprised both friends and strangers with the discontinuation of its latest console, many of the studies decided not to continue with the marketing of "practically finished" games, as was the case of Propeller Arena, flinstones, Halflife and many others.

With the passage of time and given that many people have done with Katana DevKits (development unit of Sega Dreamcast) in many hard drives, have been found in games development phase and certain securities in an advanced state of the same, some have gone to light and by other ethical issues still filling that space so desired by many.

It is said that the underground networks of the Internet, it is feasible to get a dump of it, but at the moment I have not had the good fortune to see him ever, there are those who say that they have, but my opinion is far from accepting such an assertion.

The same goes with Castlevania, in the Dreamcast sites are always hoping that someday appear, having left all the titles that were canceled, another rooster sing?

Wedbush Morgan Securities analyst Michael Pachter's told CVG that the new DSi's ability to download games could play a crucial role in expanding Nintendo's user base.

"[I] suspect that broader appeal will ultimately be determined by the quantity and quality of downloadable content," he told us. "If we see games like Boingz and Tetris (new Wii Ware games) exported to the DSi, or see new innovations that use the camera, I think it will be a game changer."

Nintendo announced the DSi last week, the new SKU packing in a number of new features not offered by previous DS models, including a web browser, direct access to a DSi download store and a 0.3 megapixel camera.

The analyst also responded to comments made by John Koller, Sony's US director of hardware marketing, who earlier suggested that the DSi might not be enough to help Nintendo expand its user base beyond the children's market.

"I think that the core of the user base is between 6 and 18 (probably 75% of active users), so Koller isn't that far off," Pachter said. "The biggest reason for Western users over 18 to buy a DS is the games - like Brain Age - that appeal to older users.

"The camera feature, brighter screens, thinner case, etc. are nice to have, but don't magically make my mom want to have one. I don't see how the device suddenly appeals to adults unless Nintendo is able to demonstrate that the camera feature allows for more sophisticated game play."

Nintendo yesterday confirmed to CVG that all DSi-only software would be region locked. ...

    From the official site:

Shadow volumes are in for opaque polygons, and they’re looking quite nice. And it didn’t even have as big a performance hit as I had expected. Translucent shadows need to be dealt with separately, alongside the translucent poly sorting (and will probably be quite a bit more expensive, but then again they’re more expensive on the actual PVR2 as well).

Other than that, Real Life(tm) has been quite busy recently, so progress has been a little slower than one might like, but we’re still on track for 0.9 at the moment.

    Changes

    Add opaque shadow volumes
    Fix some punchout ordering problems
    Add EXT_packed_depth_stencil support

Follow the journey of a patriotic Atlantic Alliance soldier when an act of treason launches him into the battlefield, as forces wage a battle of genetics vs. cybernetics

Battle in famous locations across the United States

    description
The world is in chaos. After years of neglecting the environment, nature has fought back with devastating effect. Earthquakes, floods and tornadoes have reduced the United States to a mere shadow of its former self, effectively cutting the East and West coasts off from each other. And with division has come dissent. Thousands died and those that survived were forced to adapt to a new way of life. In the East, the path to survival was paved with technology and cybernetic enhancement. In the West, survival of the fittest took on new meaning with stem cell research and genetic modification. These two ideologies and ways of life lead to a division so great that war is the only course of action.

In Fracture™, take on the role of Atlantic Alliance soldier Jet Brody as he goes against the genetically enhanced Pacificans and their fanatical leader General Nathan Sheridan. Unleash the power of terrain-deforming weapons that literally reshape the battlefield before your very eyes, and decimate your enemies with a wide array of weapons with earth-shattering effects.

Reshape the battlefield. Reshape the battle. For the sake of mankind and the future of humanity.
