Ant512 has released a new version of his windowing system for the Nintendo DS, heres the release info:

It's been about a month since the last release, so it's about time for another. Woopsi 0.26 is now available on the SourceForge site:

    http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...roup_id=207650

Here's a screenshot of the lastest demo:

(I know the version number in the screengrab is wrong.)

There are a huge number of changes, mainly aimed at improving the API for developers. Changes are:

    - Fixes:
    - Added clip-to-physical-screen code back in.
    - Fixed inconsistency in screen _flags.borderless variable.
    - Fixed warning in gadget.cpp (bug 1826584).
    - Removed parent pointers from gadget constructors.
    - Removed eventhandler.cpp and rolled the functionality into the header.
    - Removed font bitmap check from TextWriter (feature 1830307).
    - Renamed "addXXX()" gadget creation functions to "newXXX()" (feature 1830242).
    - Added check for null parent pointer before adding gadgets to child vector (bug 1830241).
    - Fixed flicker in top display when flipping screens.
    - Fixed border size confusion in Window class.
    - Fixed problem with height and width to y2 and x2 conversion in TextWriter.
    - Fixed scroll limit problem in TextViewer.
    - Fixed drawing problems in TextViewer.
    - Removed _deleteQueueActive from Gadget class and rely on vector size instead (bug 1843784).
    - Made destructors virtual where appropriate.
    - Set gadgets to be invisible until added to a parent gadget to prevent them being drawn to arbitrary positions on the screen.
    - Removed "removeOverlappedRects" from Woopsi class.
    - Changed Gadget::eraseGadget() so that the parent is responsible for erasing children instead of passing call up to Woopsi instance.
    - Fixed Woopsi constructor parameter order.

    - New Features:
    - Screen and window borders can be enabled/disabled with setBorderless().
    - Gadgets now have a flags bitmask instead of individual bools to control properties (request 1826433).
    - Added addGadget() and insertGadget() for more control over children.
    - Added an ID number ("refcon") to the base gadget class (request 1828519).
    - Added getClientRect() function to gadget/window/screen classes.
    - Added GraphicsPort class to handle drawing within gadgets.
    - Gadgets now cache their visible regions to improve drawing speed.
    - Pong demo uses a GraphicsPort instead of a SuperBitmap.
    - Added "removeGadget" function for deleting gadgets from vectors.
    - Added gadget decoration concept to handle borders, etc.
    - Removed all usage of Gadget::getType() to aid subclassing.
    - BitmapButton draws its bitmap using GraphicsPort.
    - Window uses parent screen's GraphicsPort to draw its XOR rectangles (fixes bug in which XOR rectangle overlaps other screens, but no longer relevant since screens automatically depth-sort when clicked).
    - Window border gadgets use GraphicsPort for their output.
    - Screen title gadget uses GraphicsPort for its output.
    - Removed most drawing functions from Gadget class.
    - Added hardware-accelerated horizontal line drawing.
    - Improved speed of filled rect by using faster horizontal line routine.
    - Renamed bool getters from "getXXX()" to "isXXX()".
    - Added clip-to-parents into Gadget::cacheVisibleRects and Gadget::splitRects.
    - Removed glyph font and added support routines to allow single font.
    - Added font inheritance system.
    - Added Gradient background class.
    - Removed background image from demo and replaced with gradient.

    Hi All,

Here is a new version (final ?) of PSPCAP32 the CPC Emulator for PSP.

For those who haven't seen previous versions, Caprice32 is one of
the best emulator of the Amstrad CPC home computer series running
on Windows and Unix, written by Ulrich Doewich.
This emulator faithfully imitates the CPC464, CPC664, and CPC6128 models
    (see http://sourceforge.net/projects/caprice32)

    What's new in version 1.3.2 :

    - Option to display in green (monochrome)
    - Option to scroll up or down the screen
(when the screen is not properly centered)
    - Analog pad can now be used in the file requester
to move faster through the disk/snapshot lists
    - Check CPM disk automatically
(and run |CPM instead of RUN")
    - Bug fix in the disk explorer menu
(when the number of files on disk was too high)
    - IR keyboard works now also in the keyboard settings
    menu.
    - Bug fix in the render function, sometimes the screen
became dark (it should not happen anymore).

How to use it ? Everything is in the README.txt file.

Sources are included, and this package is under the GNU public license,
read COPYING.txt file for more information about it.

It can be downloaded from my blog :

    Hi All,

TI99Sim is a very good emulator of Texas Instruments
TI99 home computer running on Windows and Unix.
The emulator faithfully imitates the TI99/4 model
    (see http://www.mrousseau.org/programs/ti99sim/)

PSPTI99 is a port on PSP of the version 0.1.0 of TI99Sim.

What's new then in this version ?

    - Add save state feature !
    - Display and save thumbnail images for each save state
    - Disable speech system (make the emulator to freeze)
    - Bug fix in the render function (dark screen)

How to use it ? Everything is in the README.txt file.

If you want to convert games etc ... have a look to Ti99/sim web site
    for more informations (http://www.mrousseau.org/programs/ti99sim/).

Sources are included, and this package is under the GNU public licence,
read COPYING.txt file for more information about it.

You can download the emulator on my blog :
    http://zx81.zx81.free.fr/

The save state feature is still a bit buggy, if you encounter any issue
then reload the cartridge you were playing, and then reload the save state.

    Enjoy,

    Zx.

    via Kotaku

Konami may be looking to bring the Climax-developed prequel Silent Hill Origins to a wider audience next year with a PlayStation 2 port of the game. Released for the PSP worldwide this quarter, it now appears that Konami will have a PS2 version of the game ready for March of 2008. A fact sheet for the port was passed on to us this morning, courtesy of one of our tipsters, indicating that Climax would be responsible for the second release of the handheld horror title.

The official Climax site does mention that the group is working on a second unannounced project for Konami, but reps for the publisher have not yet responded to our request for confirmation that Silent Hill Origins for the PlayStation 2 is the unnamed title. If true, I certainly hope that Climax is giving the game a bit of a visual upgrade for those who passed on the on-the-go frightfest. ...
