    Heres the press release:

Australia’s highest selling gaming console, the Nintendo DS™ Lite, is about to get a boost with the arrival of a new colour Black!

Retailing for SRP$199.95, the Black version will join the existing Polar White unit on Thursday, September 21st, 2006.

“We are very pleased to introduce Black to the range. I think the colour lends well to the overall design and offers a sharp elegance to the unit. Until now, consumers have really embraced the clean sophistication of the Polar White look - now they have an option”, says Rose Lappin, Director of Sales and Marketing.

Nintendo DS Lite, along with new releases New SUPER MARIO BROS.™ and Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training™: How Old Is Your Brain?, continue to sell well. This will receive an extra boost when Poké-fans join forces for the release of Pokémon® Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team for Nintendo DS, due September 28th. Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team will also be available for Game Boy Advance™.

Nintendo DS Lite originally launched on June 1st 2006. It features brighter screens, is approximately two-thirds the size of the original Nintendo DS and about 20 percent lighter, all the while maintaining all of the original Nintendo DS features, as well as screen size. Since February 2005 the Nintendo DS, along with the new Lite version, remains the highest selling handheld console in Australia, with an Australian installed base in excess of 300,000 units. ...

Given the success of Nintendo's dog-training, dog-loving sim Nintendogs, it's no wonder third-party developer Digital Kids is trying to strike while the iron is hot. We've seen clones centering around cats and dogs already, but this is a first. Now you'll be able to virtually pet and talk to a hamster in Love Love Hamster, which is set for release on the 2nd of November in Japan.

There are 6 total breeds in all, including the Golden hamster, Dzungarian hamster, Chinese hamster, Campbells hamster, Roborovskii hamster and Panda hamster. The Panda hamster, by far, is the hamster of choice for the DS Fanboy staff and could help pave the way to cross-breeding other species. We hope to soon create the Bark; half-bear, half-shark, all unstoppable killing machine (not to be confused with the Bear-Shark).

Anyway, a trailer, which sadly lacks sound, for the game may be found Here ...

    WarmfluffyUK posted this news:

    Hi folks,

Well I have released the Beta 3.3 of Myriad, there's quite a few changes since Beta 2. Take a peek if you have time .

    Myriad Beta 3.3

    So what's left to do?

    1. More enemy types (Spinners are already being written).
    2. Difficulty level code (Presently there's only one actual level that repeats).
    3. Power ups (Shield top up, temporary invincibility and Air strike are the first 3, others I'm not telling ).
    4. Mini level in between worlds (side scrolling navigation through asteroid fields).
    5. Flash screens (These are mainly for progress reports, and possible story line).
    6. Music (This is dependant on how big the main game gets).

And I'm sure I will have more ideas as it develops .

    Brumi posted this news:

    Hi guys,

sorry it took so long - I had lot of other things on my mind - but here you have the many-requested update for DSDoom on MMD.

Now you don't need the bootme-fix to launch DSDoom 1.0.0 for Max Media Dock. Just launch it from within Max Media Player.

I also changed the working directory to /games/dsdoom. I just didn't like having all files in the root-directory. Now I can have them organized decently. I hope this suits you too.

Please read the included readme for further details and installation instructions.

DSDoom 1.0.0 for Max Media Dock is only intended to be used with Datel's Max Media Dock. Don't use my modified version on any other homebrew-device (it could mess up your data). I can't give any warranty for DSDoom 1.0.0 for Max Media Dock. It works fine for me and I had no problems so far, but use it at your own rist.

Thanks to TheChuckster and WinterMute for making such a great port and all MMD-users for their support.

    Brumi

PS: If anyone could test the networking - i had no time for that yet - and post the results, that would be great.

The Czech branch of the software maker Microsoft will launch the game console Xbox 360 on the Czech markets on Nov. 3, the company’s general manager Michal Čupa confirmed to CBW, and in the initial phase “two games available in the Czech language.”

Microsoft said that the level of piracy in the Czech Republic is low enough that Microsoft expects gamers to buy the local language game versions in sufficient numbers to warrant their investment, but declined to comment on the game titles. Polish and Slovak launches are also scheduled in the coming months, Microsoft announced at the Leipzig Game Convention in Germany, from where rumors are circulating that the available game titles will be “Perfect Dark Zero” and “PGR3.”

“In the first phase we will concentrate on people who already have gaming experience, and the localization of the game isn’t so important for them,” Čupa said, adding that in the second phase the number of games will increase but there is no set minimum or maximum number for games in the Czech language.

“[The number] will depend on the reaction of the market,” he said about the second phase, due to begin a few months after Christmas 2006.

Microsoft’s Czech branch has a “quite exact” sales plan for the launch, but won’t reveal it, and is tight lipped about the price of the Xbox game console, although it has repeatedly said it will be very competitive. Both the core and the premium systems will be available and in other markets retail around for around $300 (Kč 6,620/€ 235) and $400, respectively. ...
