Ever since the Snes i have loved the Mario Kart games and the DS Version lives up to the Hype, this is a real killer app for the Nintendo DS, heres some info about Mario Kart DS:

"It's time to race... with no wires attached! The acclaimed Mario Kart series has gone wireless, letting players race and battle with up to eight karts at once, regardless of whether everyone has a game card. An all-star cast that includes Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Wario, Bowser and Toad will round out a truly all-star line-up of more than 30 courses drawn from every Mario Kart game. That's right – players will tour courses from Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart: Super Circuit and Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, not to mention brand-new tracks and arenas. With all the crazy items and frantic speed players have come to expect, this game is a Mario Kart fan's dream. The game has a new dimension of fun, since players can battle others around the world by connecting to Nintendo's new wireless gaming service, Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, via Wi-Fi. "

Anyway onto an excerpt from my review:

Mario Kart started off on the Snes with a great Single Player mode and probably the best Multi player game you will ever see, the Balloon Battle Mode was awesome. the game then progressed into Nintendo 64, GBA and Gamecube Versions and whilst each one had better graphics they all seemed to lack that original magic. Mario Kart on the Nintendo DS lets you play all the best tracks from each of the older versions in retro mode and you also have all the new tracks.

The feel of the game is superb and once i got my fingers used to getting rid of the weapons it was plain sailing, you have so many charactars to choose from youll be spoilt for choice and when you progress further into the game you will be rewarded by getting new tracks and charactars to choose from.

I bought breaker pro today and I booted it up and when i click cheats it says "Game Cheats function is not avaiable in this version." (Yes it really spelt available wrong). Is there any way to get cheats working or is it just choice that will never work. The whole reason I bought this was for the cheats. I also do not think there is any other version to my knowledge besides 1.1 ...

Edison Carter has released a new version of the GTA:LCS Trainer for PSP.

    Heres whats new:

Teleport works whether you're on foot or in a car. If you're in a car, I had to make it stabalize it for a few seconds or else it would often get tipped over or flipped around. It stabalizes for 2 seconds teleporting within an island, 18 seconds going from island to island. If you're parked on a slant, it's kinda interesting when you come out of teleport.

I added teleport locations for well known landmarks and mission pickup locations. I haven't finished the Shoreside Vale missions, so those may not be complete. I didn't include teleport locations for the insides of the safehouses because you just fall into nothing unless you're teleporting from there. It seems once you leave the interior, it goes away. They do appear to be located inside their buildings where they are represented to be.

Instead of walk through walls, I'm doing step through walls. Go up to a wall facing it and go to the menu and press X on Step Through Wall. It'll move you 1 meter forward. You can do a fun standing walking thing if you hold X down. (was there a music video that had this in it?)

Power Jump allows you to fly around using the jump button. Press and hold SQUARE to jump and keep jumping, then pump the SQUARE button to stay level. I added a little forward velocity to keep you going. Feels a lot like the Matrix jumping from rooftop to rooftop this way. It does have the power to shove you through a roof if you want to walk through ceilings. This gives you the ability to explore everywhere, inside buildings and above the height limit. A lot of buildings are not solid above a certain height. The one I'm standing on in the picture I think is the highest solid building.

Speaking exclusively to SPOnG today, Nintendo has moved to quash rumours currently pegging The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for Nintendo Revolution, with ‘The Mill’ claiming the GameCube version has been abandoned.

As you will know, the game was savagely delayed, as we were the first to reveal, and immediately Mario 128-inspired chat foretold of a next-generation outing for the incredible-looking new Link.

“The rumours that are currently doing the rounds are nonsense,” a Nintendo spokesman told SPOnG this morning. “Mr Iwata and Mr Miyamoto have always maintained that Zelda: Twilight Princess will be released exclusively for the Nintendo GameCube. Of course, it will be playable on Revolution as the Revolution is backwards-compatible with the GameCube. The Revolution may of course see its own Zelda outing in the future.”

And of course, Nintendo’s comments just make sense, unlike the offending rumour. It was back in March that Nintendo showed the latest build of Zelda in video-form at GDC, as we exclusively revealed. Then we had hands-on access with the latest build, with our admittedly only half-decent shaky-cam footage which you can view here.

This news should do something to dampen the fires currently engulfing the scheduled GameCube swansong that is LOZ:TP though a fresh rumour has reached us at time of press, one you may ignore at your leisure. There is a strong chance we hear, that Zelda will come bundled with the Revolution as a 'showpiece' backwards-compatible title at launch. The wait before the final GameCube boxed version may be as long as a month.

We will more than likely be the first to confirm or debunk the Revolution bundle rumour, so keep an eye on the front page. For the record, Nintendo didn’t comment on it at time of press. ...

Recently we brought you the breaking rumour that DDR Mario Mix may be discontinued; fortunately, fiction is sometimes stranger than truth, and we’re happy to confirm that the rumour is false. In fact, DDR Mario Mix has been flying off shelves through its popularity, not due to a defect.

A Nintendo representative has told us that ”Nintendo is very pleased with the success of Mario DDR. In fact, there has been such high demand, it has driven out-of-stock situations at retail. Nintendo is currently reviewing its plans to bring in more product in 2006.”

High demand? Out of stock? Sounds all too familiar. However, we’re looking forward to seeing some more Mario dance mayhem soon. ...

In almost four years of availability in Japan, the original Xbox has sold an estimated 450,000 units in the country. Microsoft has made clear it's ambitions to blow that number out of the water with the Xbox 360, a goal reiterated in a recently published Dengeki Xbox 360 interview with Microsoft Japan's Xbox division general manager and executive officer Yoshihiro Maruyama. Worldwide, Microsoft plans to ship 3 million Xbox 360 units worldwide by March, and 4.5 million units by the end of June.

"It's only a target, but we want to reach 1 million units by the summer of next year," Maruyama said of the company's plans for Japan. "And during the year-end shopping period, we hope to reach 1.5 to 2 million units. We believe that 1 million unit is an important figure. It makes things easier for [game] makers to do business, so want to achieve it early." ...

Just seconds after the first Xbox 360 was sold at retail in Europe, we caught up with regional director Neil Thompson to talk about the stock situation for the console in the run-up to Christmas, the extensive pre-order campaign - and his feelings on finally seeing a 360 in the hands of a consumer...

GamesIndustry.biz: You just sold the first Xbox 360 in Europe literally seconds ago - what's the feeling now that it's finally in the hands of customers? Are you relieved?

Neil Thompson: No, it's a feeling of pure, unadulterated excitement at this point, to be honest! We've worked very long and hard over the last four years, really, in building the Xbox brand, and I think the Xbox 360 will take that brand to the next level. It's a very very exciting time.

What are your expectations in terms of what people are going to be saying tomorrow morning and this weekend, after the launch?

I think people who've got it will be raving about the gaming experience they've had. I think people will probably be getting online within about a quarter of an hour, when they get home - and I think when they get online they'll start playing with folks in America and other folks around Europe, and getting really excited about PGR and Perfect Dark and Call of Duty, and all of the titles that are going to be really exciting.

You know, people will still be commenting tomorrow on how many units we had, and how quickly we'll be replenishing - so I'll still be saying tomorrow what I've been saying for most of the day really, which is that every week we're going to be shipping units in. We're doing all we can to get as many planes and ships through as fast as we can - so that's my guarantee to people, that that's the effort we're putting into it.

In terms of the stock tonight and tomorrow morning at launch - is there a lot of stock in the UK that's on a first-come, first-served basis, or is it really mostly pre-ordered stock?

I think... I would say the majority of what I've seen from retailers is on pre-order of some form or shape. I think some retailers will have plenty of free stock, because the pre-order mechanic isn't something that necessarily they can manage very well - but a lot of it will be pre-ordered stock.

Has Microsoft expressed a preference about that to retailers?

No, that's a retailer decision - how they manage their customer base and how they operate as retailers. That's why you have some some retailers doing very strong pre-order campaigns, like GAME, and other retailers, the more mass-market retailers, have a free stock system.

All the people you see here tonight were invited down because they've pre-ordered - they needed to have a special invite to be here because they've pre-ordered. Otherwise, I think it would have been very difficult just to manage the crowds, to be honest! There could have been thousands outside here, rather than the, I don't know, five hundred or so that we've got.

It's probably not a night where you want to talk about challenges - but briefly, what do you see as the biggest hurdle you have to overcome between now and Christmas?

I think it's concentrating on meeting the demand as best as we possibly can. It's making sure people are enjoying and getting the best out of the system - and obviously, I'm going to be spending a lot of time with retail partners helping them manage the customer situation and any concerns that may arise.

We're really going to focus all our efforts on getting as much stock in as possible, because the demand is proving to be phenomenal.

Are you going to be doing anything to communicate that situation to consumers - to make them aware of the stock situation?

Well, people ask me this a lot, and ever since E3 last year, I think I've been saying to everyone that I expect demand to exceed supply when we launch. I've been saying it for six months in practically every press interview that I've done - so you know, hopefully people are conscious of that fact, but are also conscious of the fact that we are committed to replenishing the product on a weekly basis. We're not leaving the market dry for six, eight, twelve weeks - we're going to come out with more product every single week. That's really the situation.

Neil, thanks very much for your time.

    Thanks. ...
