Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V has claimed it’s second UKIE Gfk Chart-Track All Formats UK No.1 after two weeks at the top for EA’s FIFA 14.
Nintendo’s 3DS RPGs Pokemon X and Pokemon Y debut in third and fourth place respectively, with week one sales doubling last year’s Black 2 and White 2. If X and Y sales were combined, the game would have comfortably been No.1. Y is the best-selling game in the individual format charts, with X in second place.
Sony’s PS3 exclusive Beyond: Two Souls begins its charts stint in fifth, falling short of the No.1 debut achieved by Quantic Dream’s last release, Heavy Rain.
NIS America’s Dragon’s Crown debuts in 19th and Mind Candy’s Moshi Monsters: Katsuma Unleashed in 28th.

Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V continues to claim retail records.
Amazon has, unsurprisingly, confirmed that GTA V is the fastest selling game ever at the retailer. Perhaps more surprising are the games whose lifetime sales it has already overtaken after less than a month on the market.
These include Call of Duty: Black Ops II, FIFA 13 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
Also note the surprise inclusion of Zumba Fitness at No.10 in Amazon’s all-time best-selling games list:
    1. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
    2. Call of Duty: Black Ops
    3. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
    4. Grand Theft Auto V
    5. Call of Duty: Black Ops II
    6. FIFA 10
    7. FIFA 13
    8. FIFA 12
    9. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
    10. Zumba Fitness

GTA V has already claimed a number of records including seven official Guinness World Records.

Already on sale for more than a month at AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon, Sprint has finally revealed when you'll be able to get your hands on LG's G2 flagship. The operator today opened pre-orders for the $99 Android phone but doesn't expect deliveries to hit your doorstep until November 8th. To sweeten the deal, Sprint will also provide lazy notification cases (which are actually pretty convenient) to everyone who pre-orders a G2 through its website.

Asda is selling the PS4 Mega bundle for an attractive £439 - that's just £10 more than an Xbox One.The PS4 Mega bundle includes a PS4, Killzone: Shadow Fall, two DualShock 4 controllers and the PlayStation Camera. There's a catch, though. As an Asda employee who notified Eurogamer of the offer this afternoon pointed out, the bundle is only available to those who pre-ordered the console before 5th August and use a code, which will be sent out soon.Asda is selling all three official PS4 bundles: PS4 with Watch Dogs, PS4 with Killzone (both £385 each), and the aforementioned Mega bundle. The 5th August pre-order cut-off applies to them all.
UPDATE 4: And now Amazon has begun emailing PS4 pre-order customers offering them the chance to upgrade to a range of bundles.Customers are being contacted in the order in which they placed their PS4 pre-order and given a choice of the bundles, or they can keep their existing console order. The cut-off date to take advantage of the upgrade offer is 16th October 2013. You can of course keep your existing order for the PS4.Like other UK shops, Amazon is selling the PS4 "Mega Bundle", which includes a PS4, two DualShock 4 controllers, the PlayStation Camera and a copy of Killzone: Shadow Fall for £449. The available bundles are onAmazon.co.uk.UPDATE 3: ShopTo has begun contacting PS4 pre-order customers offering them the chance to upgrade to the "Mega Bundle".ShopTo is selling the bundle, which includes a PS4, Killzone: Shadow Fall, two DualShock controllers and the new PlayStation Camera, for £449.86, just a few pence cheaper than GAME."ShopTo is pleased to announce that we have started sending out e-mails to the lucky customers who are eligible to swap to the PS4 'Mega Bundle'," reads a statement on theShopTo website. "So keep an eye on your inbox."If you don't receive an e-mail today all is not lost! We're sending in batches and more will become available as swap offers are rejected."UPDATE 2: As Eurogamer revealed yesterday, retailers have begun alerting those who pre-ordered a PlayStation 4 about the new official bundle options that are available to them.First off the bat is GAME. It's offering an upgrade to the PS4 mega bundle, which includes the console, Killzone Shadow Fall, a second DualShock 4 controller and the PlayStation Camera for £449.99 - that's £21 more expensive than an Xbox One.Yesterday Sony UK boss Fergal Gara told Eurogamer he expected retailers to sell the bundle for £10 either side of Microsoft's Xbox One UK price, so GAME's offer comes in a little expensive. Also available is a PS4 with Killzone bundle for £399.99, and a PS4 with Watch Dogs, also for £399.99. The PS4 on its own costs £349 in the UK.We expect other retailers will update their customers in due course. If you receive an email about this, let us know in the comments below, and we'll add the various prices.UPDATE 1: Sony has revealed new detail on its Killzone Shadow Fall PlayStation 4 bundle, which will actually be available in two different flavours. You can get a PlayStation 4 console and physical copy of the game for €439 (roughly £369, final RRP TBA), as well as the PS4/Killzone/Camera/Extra DualShock 4 variant mentioned below, which will cost €499 (roughly £420).Sony told Eurogamer earlier today at EGX 2013 that the bundle would be available for around a tenner either side of Xbox One's basic £429 offering.
ORIGINAL STORY: Sony will release the eye-catching PlayStation 4 bundle leaked on Amazon last month in the UK, Eurogamer can exclusively reveal. In August Amazon France listed a PS4 bundle that includes a number of extra items for the same price as Xbox One in Europe. The bundle costs €499 - the same as Microsoft's European Xbox One price - which translates to around £427. In the UK the Xbox One costs £429.Included in the box is a copy of PS4-exclusive launch title Killzone Shadow Fall, two DualShock 4 controllers and the PlayStation Camera. Internally Sony calls this the "mega bundle".That's compared to Microsoft's offering, which includes FIFA 14 when you pre-order the bundle, Kinect and an Xbox One controller.Bought separately, the bundle's contents would cost £503 when purchased together from Amazon at time of publication (£349 for the PS4 console, £55 for the PlayStation Camera, £54 for a second DualShock 4 and £45 for Killzone: Shadow Fall). That's roughly a £70 saving."I can officially confirm that the answer is yes [Sony will bring the bundle to the UK]," Sony UK boss Fergal Gara told Eurogamer today at the Eurogamer Expo."It'll be similarly benchmarked in euro equivalent. PlayStation 4 is £349 and €399, so it will be the same equivalent."It will be no more than a tenner either way [of the Xbox One £429 UK price] depending on what conversation rate we use on the given day."Sony will announce several new PS4 bundles tomorrow, Eurogamer understands. The company has told UK retailers to alert those who have pre-ordered PS4 that they now have the option to upgrade to one of these."It [the mega bundle] is in limited volume, and therefore it is probably going to go mainly to current pre-order customers, then follow-up volume may well be post-Christmas," Gara added."But there are other bundles that also represent incredibly good value. It's not just about having a good base price. We want to offer value in every way we can."Starting yesterday, our retail partners are contacting their pre-order customers in order, so starting with the first, working up to when they run out of that special bundle, saying, we now have clarity on exactly what PlayStation 4 bundles we have to offer for day one. Would you like option A, B, C or D?"Everybody who has pre-ordered in the expectation they're getting just the PS4, including the DualShock 4 and the headset - the basic configuration. But as we've worked through the details and worked through the options we've come up with some great bundle offers. And it is only fair the first people in the queue get first chance to get that."It's a brilliant thing to do for the gamer. In theory there could be some free on day one, but I think it's unlikely, because the people in that queue are going to say yes please."

We still haven't heard exactly what Shakira and CEO John Legere have up their sleeves today, but T-Mobile decided to offer a sneak peek to its online visitors. As you can see in the image above, which was posted on T-Mo's official site not too long ago, the company seems to be preparing to announce a plan to offer global data roaming in over 100 countries later this month. This would coincide with teasers we heard from Shakira's fan site earlier today. As this particular peek tells us, the global roaming feature will be available on select Simple Choice Plans and only on "capable devices." We still don't know any specifics, but we have a feeling that the countries in red are amongst the 100 that will be involved. Also, something tells us that Shakira will be singing Whenever, wherever tonight on stage, since that would certainly fit with the whole global theme, but we'll just have to wait and see like everyone else.

Phase one was abolishing traditional two-year contracts and subsidies, phase two was the Jump "anytime upgrade" program... so what does T-Mobile have in store for its third Uncarrier announcement? As a leak -- and the promised partnership with Shakira -- hinted, the news is unlimited data and texting worldwide. Tonight in New York City, CEO John Legere said that the network is expanding home data coverage for Simple Choice customers to include more than 100 countries -- from Anguilla to Vietnam-- at no additional charge. Voice calls, meanwhile, will cost 20 cents per minutes in those same countries. "Wherever, Whenever," right?
The new global data offering will go into effect starting October 31st, and T-Mobile says customers with qualifying plans won't need to sign up or pay a fee to access basic service. Legere declined to detail free speeds, but we'd expect 2G performance -- enough to use text-based apps like Twitter and email, but insufficient for media consumption. Power users can boost speeds with any of three paid passes: one day and 100MB for $15, one week and 200MB for $25 or two weeks and 500MB for $50. Once your plan runs out, you can buy another, or revert to free service. To ensure that only travelers take advantage of free plans, each period abroad can be no longer than six weeks, and during a three-month period, six weeks must be spent in the US.
For those folks at home, the carrier is offering a new Stateside International Talk and Text plan that lets Simple Choice customers call or text participating countries for no more than 20 cents a minute. (Calls to landlines will be free to over 70 of those countries.) That plan will cost $10 a month. As anyone who's been abroad with a smartphone knows, getting connected is expensive, complicated or both. As for other carriers following suit? Legere has some words for them, too. "What our competitors should do is wait a year to see if this hurts us. Let 'em go for another year and see what happens." Head past the break for an intro video, along with a full list of participating Simple Choice countries.

Acer was only willing to tease its Haswell-powered Chromebook at last month's Intel Developer Forum, but it's ready to spill the beans today. Now called the C720, the 11.6-inch system revolves around a more efficient 1.4GHz Celeron processor that (along with 4GB of low-power RAM) allows a healthy 8.5 hours of claimed battery life. The PC also ditches the hard drive of its ancestor; there's now a 16GB solid-state drive that improves responsiveness and helps Acer slim the design by 30 percent, to 0.75 inches thick. The company isn't saying just when the C720 will ship, but Amazon and Best Buy are both taking pre-orders today for a $250 based model that undercuts HP'sChromebook 11.

If you spend your days tutting at the Wii U GamePad's underwhelming battery life, then you were probably annoyed to see Nintendo launch a 2,550mAh power pack in Japan. Thankfully, however, that same spare part has now made its way over to Europe, where both UK and German gamers (let's call 'em WiiUsers) can now snag the unit. It'll set you back £25 in Blighty and €37 over in Germany, and should let you play for between five-to-eight hours between charges. Happy gaming!

Monster Hunter 4 enjoyed its fourth week at the top of the Japanese software chart, thanks in no small part to the dearth of competition.
The only new entry in Japan last week was Namco Bandai's 3DS title Spec: Kan, which scraped into the top 20 with just over 3,000 sales. Monster Hunter 4 sold another 140,000 units, pushing its lifetime sales past 2.5 million.
The lack of new software was evident in the sluggish performance of almost every hardware platform. The 3DS and 3DS XL remained on top, but every platform except for the Wii suffered varying levels of decline - the PlayStation Vita' sales fell by almost half, leaving it below the PSP and the Wii U for the first time in several months.
