BlazerRazor has posted some details and a screenshot of whats coming in the next release of his app for DS:

Remote Touch DS gives you the opportunity to remote-control your computers mouse, keyboard and other things from your Nintendo DS hand-held console. This solution is not like remote desktop, but more like an advanced remote control.

The solution is client-server based, obviously, and requires you to have a server running. It is not plugged with synergy, it is my own solution. The server receives commands from the Nintendo DS and acts according to them.

    Next upcoming release (0.2):
    Updating and calibrate keyboard.
Moving left and right mouse clicks to left and right key, and y and a - better comfort.
Be able to enter TCP and UDP on client-side (only server-side has this option now).
New media control extended (MEX); with extra features, great for media center and similar.
If you have something you would like added, make a wish in this thread

When Sony first revealed Afrika, it was a marquee first-party PS3 title used to show off the power of the system. Three years later, it's finally being released in North America, by tiny third-party publisher Natsume, who is more familiar with Harvest Moon and handheld games than anything shown off at a press conference. How did this happen?

According to Graham Markay, Vice President of Operations for Natsume, Finny the Fish was instrumental in the deal. No, really. Sony's Uo: Nanatsu no Mizu to Densetsu no Nushi was localized on the PS2 by Natsume as Finny the Fish & the Seven Waters.

"We have a relationship with Sony Japan," Markay explained. "You might remember Finny the Fish? That game was done by Sony Japan. So we licensed that game from them. We have a little bit of a history with their licensing department in Japan." Because of this relationship, Natsume was one of the companies contacted by Sony Japan about the game. Markay said that Afrika "really fits with the Natsume theme" because it's non-violent and nature-oriented. We might add that it fits with the Natsume theme so well that the company is simultaneously releasing a different safari photography game on the Wii.

In case you need an extra incentive to buy Afrika, Markay confirmed that "there is going to be a trophy system, which wasn't in the Asian release or Japanese release." ...

The Nintendo Wii is one of the most popular consoles on the market. It introduced new motion controllers and concepts that are now being copied by its rivals, but in terms of technology it is nothing more than an upgraded GameCube, which is blatant when you compare it to the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3.

However, there has been a big amount of speculation on when the Wii will eventually get HD and be on par with its main rivals on the market. Analysts pegged the change around 2010-2011, but it now seems that the president of the company, Satoru Iwata, doesn't share that optimistic view.

He recently talked to VentureBeat about the HD upgrade of the Wii and revealed that: “ If we have an opportunity to make a new console, it will probably support HD because it is now common throughout the world. However, as far as the Wii is concerned, we have not found a significant reason to make it HD-compatible at this time.”

The executive went on to say that: “What is the significant meaning to the users? I don't think we should do it unless we find that reason. If we decide for other reasons to make new hardware, then HD is one of the things we would naturally add. As for timing, it may be three years from now, five years from now or eight years from now.”

It's worth taking into account the fact that analog broadcasts in Japan stop in 2011, meaning that an HD Wii might be possible around that time or very close after it. Nothing is for sure though, as Nintendo was always very independent when it came to its hardware releases.

Hopefully, we will see a Wii capable of much nicer graphics in the near future, in order for the console to sell even better around the world.

Grasshopper, the developer behind mental Wii game No More Heroes, is apparently continuing its bonkers trend by making a "risky" PS3 title that has publisher Marvelous Entertainment worried.

"If we do that [game] we might go bankrupt," said Marvelous president Yasuhiro Wada, apparently while laughing (did the translator get this right?).

"We are making it, but if we make everything then it's a little too risky," he went on to tell Siliconera. He held back on actual game info though, "because it's secret we can't really go into details."

Grasshopper has previously talked of a PS3 title it has in development called Kurayami, which apparently means "darkness" in Japanese.

A MAN from West Yorkshire who beat his ex-girlfriend to death in her home was today jailed for life after being found guilty of her murder.
Suleman Khan, 24, stamped on Amy Booth's head with such force that the soles of his trainers left an imprint on her face, Bradford Crown Court heard.

He made off with a flat screen television and a Nintendo Wii games console after the attack, which happened at Miss Booth's home in Wellington Place, New Road, Halifax, in December last year.

Khan, of Dunkirk Terrace, Halifax, who was also convicted of robbery, was told he would spend at least 20 years in prison.

The court heard that he had been jailed for five months in 2007 for a similar assault on Miss Booth.

Detective Superintendent Chris Thompson, of West Yorkshire Police, who led the murder inquiry, said: "This was a very difficult case for all of those concerned with the investigation into this senseless and brutal assault against a young and vibrant young woman.

"Bringing Khan to justice was a real team effort involving skilled and dedicated officers from the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, divisional CID, the Forensic Science Service, Crown Prosecution Service and prosecution barrister.

"This was a meticulous investigation and the evidence against Khan was overwhelming, but despite this he subjected Amy's family to a difficult and traumatic trial.

"In court Khan claimed Amy had provoked the attack but he was a violent and controlling bully whose sole motivation for this, and an earlier attack in March 2007, was to punish her."

Divisional Crown Prosecutor for Calderdale Jane Cryer said: "This was a vicious attack on a young woman in her own home and we extend our deepest condolences to Amy's family and friends. We have worked closely with West Yorkshire Police from the outset.

"We realize that nothing can heal the pain of Amy's family and friends but we hope that this successful prosecution brings some measure of comfort to them.

"The conviction of Amy's killer within six months of her death is due in no small part to the professionalism, commitment and hard work of those involved in every stage of this prosecution.

"It is some small satisfaction to see that justice has been served in this case."

Mansoor Ahmed, 28, of Mayfield Drive, King Cross, Halifax, who had also been accused of Miss Booth's murder and robbery, was acquitted by the jury.
