The original Nazi-killing first-person shooter returns next week, as Activision announces the release date for Wolfenstien 3D for Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network.

All 60 levels of Wolfenstein 3D will be hitting both consoles on June 4th, giving gamers something more constructive to do than refreshing gaming websites for the latest news out of E3. And while the original Wolfenstein 3D might not be as fun to play today as it was when it was originally released back in 1992, but Activision has included plenty of incentive take on Mecha-Hitler one more time. Perhaps taking a cue from the Fable II Pub Games, playing through Wolfenstein 3D on your Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 will earn you accolades and gold to pay for weapons upgrades in Wolfenstein, the next chapter in the series due out August 4. Very sneaky.

There's no mention of any upgrades to the game, so it looks like it's a straight port, and there's no mention of a price either, so we're just going to have to wait and see what's announced between now and next week.

EA Tiburon has big plans for this year's installment of Madden, kicking things off with the announcement of online co-operative play - a first in franchise history.

For the first time, two players will be able to take their game online together with online co-op play in Madden NFL 10. Team up online with your friends, taking on different defensive and offensive positions, experiencing the game through all-new position specific camera angles.

Not only does this sound like an amazing new way to play Madden with your online football buddies, senior producer Phil Frazier makes an excellent point in the developer diary video below. Some of us are scared to go online with the game. Hell, I feel like an idiot when I try to lay against people who know the ins and outs of the series. Being able to team with someone who knows what they are doing is a great way to ease new players into one of the most competitive online communities in existence.

And online co-op is just the beginning, with the official announcement teasing us about more new online features being announced during Monday's E3 press conference. We'll be there, so technically so will you.

Square Enix will be bringing a previously unannounced game to E3 this year. Front Mission Evolved, being developed by Double Helix Games, is a third-person shooter for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. It has no release window as of yet.

Front Mission Evolved is described as an "action-packed third-person shooter" that gives players control of the wanzer. What is a wanzer? Good question. Apparently it is a "massive humanoid war machine." I like to call those mechs. The game will feature a full single player campaign and online multiplayer.

Double Helix is also currently working on G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra – The Game.

PSP demos for Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and Rock Band Unplugged lead the PlayStation Store refresher this week. The former is being thrust on Europe by both Capcom and Sony as the pair try to spark a Japanese-style frenzy when the game launches in late June. The latter, while we're on topic, has face-button presses instead of instrument peripherals. Rock Band Unplugged is also out in late June.

There are samplers for CellFactor: Psychokinetic Wars and Inferno Pool - the two PSN game offerings this week. CellFactor is an FPS and Inferno Pool is a pool (the one with cues) game. Try them. Go on.

We like the look of the 2000 AD-themed costumes for LittleBigPlanet because we like comic books, and we feel we ought to mention the inspirationally named Ferrari Challenge "Pack of 5 New Cars and 1 Track".

The Corporate Warfare DLC for Saints Row 2 shows up, and there are more freebies for MotorStorm and Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2.

There's the usual spattering of Rock Band tracks, although we're only offered one Guitar Hero song this week.

    CellFactor: Psychokinetic Wars - GBP 7.99 / EUR 9.99
