The newest Nintendo™ portable multimedia station has arrived. Nintendo DSi™ is not only thinner and lighter but spots many more facilities than its predecessors.

Record the unexpected momentous instants in your life by taking pictures and edit them on the go with your DSi™. With two cameras installed, one at the back of the cover and the other at the joint between the two screens, you can take photos of your friends and yourself at ease and add layers of frills onto them with the handy program.

With its user-friendly icon menu, you can achieve whatever you want without having to break a sweat. You can enjoy the functions of the DSi™ even without putting a game into the console. Aside from taking pictures and editing them, you can go on to the Internet shop and download games. Please be aware, however, that the Japanese NDSi™ only connects to its regional online shop and therefore can only download Japanese games.

Even gameplay is made more exhilarating by the new bigger screen. Compared with the NDS™ Lite, the screen is bigger by 17%. The new console plays all NDS™ games, so feel free to try out your favourite games on the bigger screen. The only takeaway from the older console is the Gameboy™ Advance Slot.

As the first generation of DSi™ consoles, two colors are available, choose between the pristine white and the stylish black.

Nintendo DSi (Black) JPN US$ 299.00
Nintendo DSi (White) JPN US$ 299.00

Play-Asia.com is expected to receive the first Nintendo DSi™ units on coming Monday (November 4th), followed by another shipment on Wednesday, covering all preorders placed so far. Make sure to submit your order now to be among one of the first ones to enjoy the new NDSi.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A few critical facts about the new (Japanese Version) Nintendo DSi™:

The Nintendo DSi™ plays all region Nintendo DS™ game cartridges (Japan, USA, Europe,...).
The Japanese NDSi™ only connects to the Japanese download shop. You won't be able to download NDSi™ games from other regions with your Japanese console!
Other than the NDS™/NDS™ Lite, the NDSi™ system language is Japanese only!
The NDSi™ charger once again differs from the NDS™/NDS™ Lite model one. Be reminded that the Japanese NDSi™ includes a 100-120V power supply (for direct usage in Japan, USA, Canada).
This hardware revision no longer supports Gameboy™ Advance playback.

To commemorate the debut of the new console, a number of new games and accessories have been released in Japan on 1st November:

    Games
Aruite Wakaru: Seikatsu Rhythm DS JPN US$ 58.90
    Avalon Code JPN US$ 48.90
Valkyrie Profile: Toga o Seoumono JPN US$ 48.90

These games are compatible with both NDSi™ and its predecessors so all NDS™ gamers, be sure to grab a copy.

Aside from games, there are already a buch of new accessories in stock now:

Liquid Crystal Protection Filter DSi JPN US$ 6.99
Screen Guard DSi JPN US$ 6.99
Seikatsu Rhythm Meter JPN US$ 19.90
Dragon Screen Guard JPN US$ 2.99

    My fellow Americans,

Its me … SackBoy! Now that you can go pickup LittleBigPlanet in your local retailer, I can take on other matters that are important to me other than playing, creating and sharing! So I wanted to take this opportunity to bring your attention to a worthwhile cause.

Well, as you know it’s election season here and it’s not all about Democrats and Republicans. There are bigger issues going on and I need YOU to get involved!

Back in 2006, the International Astronomical Union declassified Pluto, our solar system’s littlest big planet, from a real planet to a dwarf planet. This is a travesty and we must stand together to bring Pluto back to the solar system as the LittleBigPlanet. So join me, SackBoy, in helping to get enough signatures to get Pluto back into the solar system!

I have made a campaign advertisement that I want you to watch and share with your friends. Afterwards, log onto my campaign page and sign up so I can keep you updated on the campaign!

You can also find me on Twitter and on FaceBook — if you join our group, we’ll gift you bumper stickers and buttons to share with your friends!

So thank you for your time!

My name is SackBoy … and I approved this message!

It’s here! Well, almost. The launch of Resistance 2 is now only days away, so we hope you and your Bullseye are just about ready to go huntin’ for some Chimera. The game officially hits store shelves in North America on November 4, and to help celebrate Resistance 2’s arrival, we’ve got something extra-special planned:

Midnight Launch Event: That’s right, Resistance 2 is taking over the PlayStation Store in San Francisco’s Metreon for the night of November 3rd (and early on the 4th). In addition to being one of the first to pick up a copy of the game, attendees will be able to meet a host of Insomniacs (including Ted Price, our President and CEO, and members of the community team), receive some cool swag, get their copy of the game signed, and have their picture taken and placed on the cover of Resistance 2. Oh, and if you’re planning on purchasing the collector’s edition, you definitely want to come to this event. Trust us; your wallet will thank you for it. You can purchase the game at 12:01 am, but fans that show up a bit early can meet us and get that photo of yourself on the R2 cover.

While November 4 has been etched in the minds of Resistance fans, here’s another one to mark on your calendar: November 7. That’s the date of our first-ever community day here at Insomniac. Fans will be treated to a studio tour, Resistance 2 competitive multiplayer sessions against the dev team, a panel discussion about our latest title, and other fun activities. If you are at least 17 years old and live/plan to be in the Los Angeles area on November 7, e-mail us at [email protected] for more details on the event.

Well, that’s it for now. I hope you use this weekend to get in a few extra rounds with the beta (we just extended it until Monday). See you soon on the battlefield!

Phew! Another big week, here at Criterion Games, but it’s great to be back on the blog! Today, we made the first of a series of announcements calling out our 2009 Burnout Paradise content.

So first up, we’re talking about the in-game browser for the PLAYSTATION 3. We always like to embrace the great hardware innovations for PlayStation. We’re using the browser to bring you closer to your friends and also to get you the latest news on what we’re working on – it’s like having criteriongames.com inside the game.

We’ll bring you all the latest on this PlayStation-exclusive feature over the coming weeks, but for now all you need to know is it’s called Burnout Paradise Network and it’ll be ready in Feb ‘09.

Next up let’s talk Burnout Paradise Party Pack.

Burnout’s an awesome social game, but the action’s all online. With Party, we wanted to create something for when all the players are in one place – gathered around a single screen.
Fans of the classic Crash Mode from Burnout 2: Point of Impact will know that this is not the first time we’ve done something like this. And we hope the response to Party is as warm as it was for Crash mode.

So, if you like to get together and play games, it’s time to break out the drinks, party hats and balloons!

Now you can enjoy Burnout Paradise in a completely new way.

    1. Get together with up to 7 friends and gather round your PLAYSTATION 3. Here you can see some of the Burnout team lining up for a little Halloween-themed fun. You can see the full session in our latest Crash TV video podcast - it’s The Halloween Special!

    2. Start Burnout Paradise and get the Party Pack update from the Store

    3. Pause to admire the excellent new Party Edition visuals and atmosphere! We’ve overhauled not just the presentation screens but also the in-game visuals, which are now brighter and more colourful in recognition of Burnout’s new party theme.

    4. Select 8-player party and get ready for the action. If you’ve got the PlayStation Eye add your picture now.

    5. It’s pass-the-pad, so you’ll only need one controller to play, no matter how many players are involved!

    6. The game selects a player at random and drops them into Paradise with a simple, fun challenge to complete.

    Land a barrel roll!

    Survive racing oncoming traffic!

Race a circuit of the dirt track in the best possible time!

There are 3 types of challenge to take on – Stunt, Speed and Skill. Stunt involves jumps and tricks. Speed features quick time trials and timed challenges. Skill includes racing through oncoming traffic and drifting your car.

    7. Pick up the winner and run around cheering / commiserate the loser

    8. Give it another go! Don’t forget, there are extra trophies and achievements available within this pack, as well as a stack of other enhancements.

You’ll be able to purchase this awesome premium Burnout Paradise content from February 2009, but if you haven’t got Burnout Paradise already, there’s never been a better time to buy.

We announced today that we’re bringing all the 2008 innovations as well as Party to something we’re calling Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box. It’s a new packaged game that’ll be available in Feb 2009!

Look out for more soon – either here on the awesome PlayStation Blog, back home on the Criterion Games Web site and in our video podcast – Crash TV.

The continent of Neverland: a place where humans and demons battle for supremacy. It all happened untold ages ago...
One god, unable to look on in silence as the world was engulfed in chaos, attempted to obliterate the root of the conflict - to destroy all the humans in the mortal world. They called him the evil god Hellgaia.
However, there were other gods who did not approve of Hellgaia's plan: the Divine God Koriah, the Cherubim Epsilon, the twin goddesses Euro and Mercedoa...and finally, the Overlord Janess.
These five deities sealed away the evil god Hellgaia in the alternate-dimension shrine "Cardinal Arc."
Afterwards, fearing he would be revived, the five deities divided Hellgaia'sealed powers into many cards. The wielders of the cards were called "Dominators" and it was said that through the cards they could gain godlike powers. That legend remains to this day.
Eons passed and hundreds of nations rose and fell on the continent of Neverland. Far from flickering out, the flames of war have continued their dark dance....
One day, the wandering traveler Galahad is summoned by the demon boy Egma. The boy, who calls himself a shrine guardian, tells Galahad that if they don't stop the revival of Hellgaia, the living world will perish. With his usual casual ease, Galahad has stepped into the midst of war.
