    News/release from Brick

    Rythm Engine started as a (yet another) DDR clone,but , with more
    accurate steps.

    After reaching the goal , i decided to create something MORE original,
    and something that probably never ever created.

    I turned the game into a rythm shooter
    I turned all key-beat-instructions into wall-beat-instructions.

    Added enemies/AI/powerups/some particle effects....and ..here we are

    Just copy "RythmEngineRBM" folder in "GAME" folder ...and..have fun!


    ===GAMEPLAY===

    The gameplay is quite simple.

    First of all , you have to keep rythm bar's level high , for 2 reasons:

    1)To increase score multiplier.

    2)If rythm bar's level is too low , you start losing HP over the time.


    To increase rythm bar's level , try to complete as many
    as possible wall-beat instructions synchronised with background
    music , by jumping off the (flashing)walls.


    Well , its not that easy as you might be thinking.
    There are different enemies(even boss-type enemies) that will
    try to kick your a$$.

    So , kill them all , pick up all available powerups,complete
    as many as possible wall-beat-instructions , and...... SURVIVE!.

    Difficulty tags are displayed next to level names.

    Code from Booster's DevHook SDK is used in this plugin, it is included
    with the sources in the CONTRIB folder

    Uses Dark_Alex's 3.71 SDK, be sure to have it in order to recompile it

    You are free to use and modify this source code, if you do it, give me credit
    and keep this whole notice.

    All the source code which is not under the CONTRIB, INCLUDE and LIB irectories
    is licensed under the GNU General Public License v2

    Setup

    Copy the content from the binaries folder to ms0:/seplugins, if you have a
    VSH.TXT copy the line of the file bundled with this pack and append it
    to your own VSH.TXT file.

    Open the recovery and activate the plugin.

    KOEI, recognized worldwide as the premier brand of strategy and action games, announced today that the company has shipped a combined one and a half million units worldwide of Warriors Orochi across all video game platforms. The hit game is a crossover of two of the company's biggest franchises, Samurai Warriors and Samurai Warriors.

    "This milestone is a significant testament to the global impact not only of this game, but also to the tremendous admiration that fans worldwide share for the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors characters," said Amos Ip, Senior Vice President at KOEI Corporation. "As we celebrate, I would like to recognize and express our thanks to the video game world's greatest fans for making this achievement possible."

    Warriors Orochi is available for the PSP (PlayStation Portable) system, Windows-based PC, Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, and PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system.

    KOEI also announced that it is bringing Warriors Orochi 2 to North America. The game will be available for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 2 in September 2008. Warriors Orochi 2 is not yet concept approved by Microsoft.

    Without warning, the venomous Serpent King Orochi descended from the heavens. Using his unworldly powers to shatter time and space, Orochi kidnapped the strongest, wisest and most courageous warriors from Ancient China and Feudal Japan in a scheme to test his might against the heroes of these ages.

    With the recent release of GTA IV, a game that allows you to steal cars, kill civilians, and conduct drive-bys, the topic of video game violence is back at the forefront of the media. While most gamers equate the potency of videogames to the violent movies that we've watched for years, the dissenting hand opposes violent video games due to their interactive nature.

    The advent of violent video games raises many questions. Has video game violence gone too far? Aren't M-rated games intended for mature audiences? Among the sea of good questions, the quintessential one arises, "Is there any scientific evidence to support the claims that violent games contribute to aggressive and violent behavior?" In the International Journal of Liability and Scientific Enquiry, University of Essex researcher Patrick Kierkegaard answers that query by stating there is no data to support the theory that videogame violence promotes violent crimes. His study interestingly provides the opposite correlation.

    Kierkegaard asserts that past studies were predominately biased. His data shows that there is no correlation between the rise of violent videogames and the amount of crimes committed. Despite violent games becoming more mainstream within recent years, statistics show that violent crimes committed from juvenile delinquents have declined since the early 1990s. "With millions of sales of violent games, the world should be seeing an epidemic of violence... Instead, violence has declined," wrote Kierkegaard.

    Even though Kierkegaard found no ties between real life crimes and videogame violence, he admits that more research needs to be done. He also doesn't rule out the possibility that videogames can influence behavior and emotion, noting that even books can spure violence in already sadistic individuals.

    This project allows a user to enter two Texas Hold'em poker hands and see how often each wins. The community cards can optionally be exposed to see how the results change.

    Two number are displayed per hand, the first is the win % (these may sum to less than 100% due to split pot options). The second is the pot equity. This is the % of the pot you can expect to win on average (which includes split pot winnings).
