EA has announced the final two cover athletes for NCAA Football 09, scheduled to hit stores across North America on July 15 from EA Sports. Former Cal wide receiver, DeSean Jackson, will be the cover athlete on PlayStation 2 while former West Virginia Mountaineer Owen Schmitt can be found on the cover of the PlayStation Portable version of the game.

In three seasons at Cal, Jackson ranks third all time in receiving yards (2,423) and third in receiving touchdowns (22). He was rated as the #1 receiver in the nation by The Sporting News and Rivals.com going into his junior campaign. Jackson was a first team All-Pac-10 selection and led the nation in average punt return yards (18.2) in his sophomore season. In the recently held NFL Draft, Jackson was selected in the second round (49th overall pick) by the Philadelphia Eagles.

Schmitt, a tough-minded fullback, finished his West Virginia Mountaineer career as one of the greatest players in school lore. In his career, Schmitt earned 21 career starts and carried the ball for 1,003 yards, a 6.3-yard average, during his Mountaineer career.

NCAA Football 09 on PlayStation 2 will feature authentic collegiate animations, an all-new Mascot Challenge and bring to life the atmosphere, pageantry and tradition of college football.

As of last Thursday, North America has Echochrome care of the PlayStation Store, but not the complete package found on the UMD version. The PSP version in Japan/Asia is a retail package with three modes: solo, pair and others. The mode where you tag shadowy echoes and journey back to the starting point is solo. Solo is the only mode available in the downloadable PSP version.

Pair has players guide four moving figures. Two are black and two are white. The goal is to get the same colored figures to tag each other to turn gray. Then you need to get the two gray figures to touch each other to clear the level.

Others is similar to solo, except you have other mannequins moving around. If you happen to bump into one of the others you’re whisked back to the last echo you touched.

While the North American PSP version is two modes less, this shouldn’t be a deal breaker. Echochrome only costs $9.99 for the PSP or PS3, the cheapest price in any region to date for both consoles. Sony Computer Entertainment Japan sold Echochrome on the PSP for 3,980 yen ($38). The slim, $9.99 downloadable PSP edition has enough content to satiate most gamers craving perspective bending puzzles. However, it is interesting that Sony Computer Entertainment America chose to release Echcohrome without the other modes. They gave North America a huge price break on Patapon, but stopped short with Echochrome. Are they planning on selling an Echochrome: Paired Shadows expansion pack in the future?

The other awkward change is the voice actress. Sony Computer Entertainment America chose to replace the English voice actress with another English voice actress. However, these voice clips may have come from the European version since the ominous voice sounds like a British accent.

The PlayStation Portable version will include arcade-influenced gameplay that throws you into the action faster than ever and brings out the fun and excitement of Big Play Saturdays. Both the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable versions of NCAA Football 09 will feature EA Sports Family Play, a fun and accessible game mode that has simplified game controls, playcalling system and playbooks.

Former Arkansas All-American Darren McFadden is the cover athlete for NCAA Football 09 on the Xbox 360 while Matt Ryan from Boston College is featured on the PlayStation 3 pack front. Also, Sparty the Spartan from Michigan State University will grace the cover on the Nintendo Wii. For each of the platforms, NCAA Football 09 brings to life the fun and excitement of gameday Saturdays and captures the true emotion of the college football experience.

SouthPeak Games announced today that it will distribute B-Boy for PlayStation 2 computer and entertainment system and PSP (PlayStation Portable) system in the U.S this summer. B-Boy allows players to prove their skills as they challenge the world's greatest breakdancers.

"B-Boy is the only game that gives players the opportunity to become premiere breakers," said Katie Morgan, Executive Vice President at SouthPeak Games. "The game's fantastic playability, dead-on authenticity and high production values give it a style all its own. While it remains true to its roots of the scene, it maintains a feel that gamers will love."

B-Boy continuously challenges players as they progress from low key neighborhood street battles all the way to high stakes world championships. While working on their skills, they will also have to confront obstacles such as building their crew and their rep by battling real-life b-boys from Europe, Asia, and North America. Pull off impossible moves and audacious combos in order to rise in rank and become number one.

Every in-game move is motion-captured from expert breakers and combined with an advanced control and animation system allowing full control of power moves, stylish freezes and flair driven combos. Players will also be able to compete in style by customizing their own b-boy or b-girl with famous brands like adidas.

Published by Evolved Games and developed by FreeStyleGames in collaboration with legend Crazy Legs, B-Boy is the first truly competitive breakdancing game, featuring over 800 motion-captured moves. The game includes Crazy Legs and the Rock Steady Crew and features 22 authentic venues including Red Bull: King of the Ring, Freestyle Sessions, UK B-Boy Championships and IBE.

Like a needle and a record, b-boys are nothing without their music that drives their culture. B-Boy also possesses a classic rich soundtrack of 35 hip-hop and funk tracks, including The Black Eyed Peas' "Bringing It Back", James Brown's "Get On The Good Foot", Cypress Hill's "The Phuncky Feel One" and Eric B and Rakim's "Don't Sweat The Technique" just to name a few.

Battles will be won and lost; reputations will be made and destroyed. Anyone can play but only the best will make it to the top.

So why the name change? And Im sure I downloaded v2.0 before, so how can v1.0 be a new version?
I wanted to change the name to a more generic name instead of limiting the name to the Mandelbrot set only, so now the new name Fractal Junkie implies several fractals, which it does have serveral fractals. And it's now v1.0 simply because of the name change.

Whats new in this version then?

-3 Colour Styles (Cycle without redrawing)
