Tom Clancy's EndWar creative director Michael de Plater is reported to have confirmed that the RTS will be released on DS and PSP, as well as 360 and PS3.

According to several reports, de Plater confirmed the game will making its way to handheld platforms at GDC. That's all we've got to go on, for the moment as nothing official has come from Ubisoft.

EndWar takes place during World War Three, where most of the Earth's resources have been depleted.

Proving that even a nuclear war can't keep those damn Russkies from pursuing their expansionist polices, players take control of an army to fight over the residual resources, like mineshafts.

There's a lot of radioactive fallout surrounding March 2009 as a possible release date. We've contacted Ubisoft for confirmation. Stay tuned.

    News/release from Bootsector:

    Hi folks!

PSMS Reloaded attempts to bring PSMS 1.2 (a SEGA Master System/Game Gear emulator by Sjeep) back to life! It now supports following devices, without relying on any special "FILES.TXT" index:

    :. Memory Card
    :. USB Devices
    :. CD/DVD
    :. HDD

This version was converted from old PS2LIB/GFXPIPE to PS2SDK/GsKit.

Thanks to the following people who (in)directly made this happen:

    :. PS2SDK maintainers/developers
:. PS2DEV forum members (Lukasz and others)
:. ragnarok2040 for his menu component (used in FCEUltra for PS2)
:. dlanor and EP for LaunchElf and its source code
:. Sjeep for the quick and dirty, but still good PSMS port.
:. My lovely wife, Miriam, for letting me to spend some of our valuable time with this

This is a WIP project. There are still many features to be added, such as:

    :. Support to PAL
    :. Screen centering
    :. General config menu
    :. Ingame config menu
:. Save state and SRAM support

    Hope you folks enjoy it!

It looks like Phil Harrison's sudden resignation was not the only change in Sony's executive lineup as of late. In a recent press release, Sony Computer Entertainment America announced the appointment of three new key executives: Robert Dyer to Senior Vice President of Publisher Relations, Ian Jackson to Vice President of Sales and Sally Buchanan to Vice President of Human Resources. These positions will take effect in March and April of 2008, and the executives will report directly to SCEA President and CEO Jack Tretton.

"Rob Dyer, Ian Jackson and Sally Buchanan's proven records of strategic leadership and innovation, combined with their extensive industry experience re-enforce their new roles as a great fit for our organization," said Tretton. "These three appointments augment an already strong executive staff at SCEA and provide the company with additional leadership to focus on key relationships with some of the most important constituencies, our publishing partners, retail community, and internal employees, as we continue to build on the momentum generated in early 2008 by the PlayStation family of products."

We'll keep you posted on further developments as they become available.

Noda has released a new version of Warcraft : Tower Defense, a NDS adaptation of the famous Warcraft mod

    Changelog:
    - PAFS version is gone, now only the fat/DLDI version is available
+ you can now use the arrow keys to select maps in the menu
+ added 5 automatic levels of difficulty for each map: it affects the life of the monsters, and the final score
+ options are now saved within the rom (require DLDI driver with write support)
    + in-game menu added
+ added possibility to restart the map in-game
+ added quicksave & exit in-game option so you can save your current game and finish it later (require DLDI driver with write support)
+ high-scores are now saved (require DLDI driver with write support)
+ high-scores can be viewed on the map selection screen (press L or R to switch minimap/high-scores)
+ small speedups here and there
    + added some new maps
    + new game icon
    = fixed some bugs
= fixed Long Walk TD skeleton’s round

Short version: I need 200$ to buy a 2nd DS + flashcart to add multiplay :

    Long story:
I’ve said earlier that I would make a point on this, here it is. As you may have noticed, still no multiplayer in this release… Why?

I planned to add it during my year abroad in Montreal, but infortunately the friend who was planning to come with me (and with his DS) could not come… So with only 1 DS on my hand, adding multiplayer is impossible.

But there’s another problem now. In 2 months, I’ll be back in France and as I’ll have school finished, I’ll start working. I also plan to take a flat with my girlfriend. This means obviously, no more free time for homebrew development…

The good part is that I still have 2 months to implement multiplayer !! But I need a second DS to be able to do it… That’s where I need you. I need 200$ to buy a second DS + flashcart. That means, if 100 people each donate 2$, I can add multiplayer to WTD…

So it’s up to you now! I’ll do my best to add multiplay for a final version of my homebrew, but I need your support… Keep it mind that the faster I can bought the 2nd DS, the best chances are that multiplay will be up with plenty of options!

Apparently, video is all the rage these days. Just ask the folks who received a survey from Microsoft about services which may or may not be coming to the Zune. It's possible your heart might skip a beat when you read questions like, "I would rather download a movies from an online service than buy a DVD," or, "My friends and I regularly send each other links to online videos." Though the question, "I'm willing to carry a larger MP3 player if it improves the quality of the display," could just be suggesting a new Zune-XXXL is on the way. Regardless of what it you take away from these cryptic messages, remember one thing: just like that Netflix survey, this may not mean anything at all.

In between solving Britain's obesity crisis and teaching Doctors how to perform surgery, the Wii is now helping burn victims boost their recovery process.

Doctors in South-East England are offering patients sessions on the console, in order to bring back flexibility to damaged areas.

"When recovering from an operation, such as a skin graft, patients may need to recover normal use of their hands and arms," said Maureen Adams, head of therapy at Queen Victoria NHS Foundation Trust in East Grinstead.

"Using the Wii is a way of significantly improving movement, while not seeing the activity as therapy, which helps motivate them. Wii can also be done at home, so patients are able to continue their own personal therapies."

According to the BBC, the Wii has also helped a boy who was struck by lightning, kept residents of a Welsh care home physically and mentally active, and is being touted as an aide to recovering stroke victims.

Maybe it's just because we caught the Sarah Chronicles pilot last week, but the idea of a Wii in every home, everywhere, is quite unnerving.

Nintendo of American president Reggie Fils-Aime has said that Super Smash Bros. Brawl will not be coming to Europe until the Autumn.

Speaking to 1UP, Reggie answered a question regarding why Wii Fit and Mario Kart was coming to Europe first by saying, "Yeah, but they don't get Smash Brothers until fall."

Reggie cited the reason as a production problem, claiming that Nintendo would have to open and convert new factories in order to step up disc duplication, which would no doubt prove costly and wasteful in the long run.

Sorry Europe - looks like you'll (we'll) have to be content with Mario Kart for the time being.

A total letdown for folks in the UK and Europe wanting to get this game. ...

It's official - the Wii has gone so "mainstream" it's now hanging out at Hollywood's biggest globally televised circle jerk.

As you probably know it was the Oscars last night, and lots of films won various awards. It was an unexpectedly poor show for Britain as Keira Knightley's tits won none of the 48 categories they were nominated in.

But it was a bumper night for Nintendo in global advertising terms. As the awards ceremony resumed following one commercial break, Jon Stewart off of satirical US news programme The Daily Show appeared on stage playing Wii tennis.

According to News.com, "It was a funny moment, and in keeping with Stewart's contemporary wit."

Judge for yourself by watching Stewart's tennis skills in action over on YouTube. ...
