Owners of the MaxMedia Dock can now be thankful that another coder has released a version of Doom that supports the device just for you, heres what Brumi posted:

    Hi Guys,

after some changes to the source-code and with support from MisterSentient i got a Version of DSDoom running with Max Media Player on my Max Media Dock (CF-Card, not the HDD).

In order to get DSDoom running you first of all need to get it from here and follow the installation instructions.
    Then grab my modified nds-file.
To get everything running place all the files in the root-directory of your cf-card (dont forget your wad-file).
Due to some compatibility-issues with the Max Media Player you need to rename the "dsdoom_mmd.nds" to "bootme.nds". Otherwise it won't work.
And then - at last - just turn on your NDS and enjoy a great game.

Thanks to the guys from DSDoom for making such a superb port and MisterSentient for his support.

It doesn't take long after the original Game Boy Advance Mario vs. Donkey Kong that the old rivals compete with each other once again. Aside from the improved visuals, the sequel on the Nintendo DS offers many new features like touch screen gameplay that strays from the GBA game.

In the Games Convention demo, levels are divided into various areas in which you have to guide the Mini-Marios to the goal. The gameplay could be compared to the classic PC game Lemmings -- by tapping on a Mario you can wind him up and he is ready to move. By dragging the stylus across the Mario you will make him go in that direction. If you flick him upwards he will perform a jump.

Following this principle you have to move all the Marios on screen to guide them to the goal. On the way there are of course many barriers that you have to overcome. While level one is quite easy, the difficulty definitely ramps up in the later rounds. Further challenges require players to manage more than one Mario at a time to lead them to the goal. At the end of each level you have to fight a boss.

Additionally to the main game "Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2" will feature a level editor to let you create your own challenges. Those levels can be sent to people all over the world via Nintendo's internet-based Wi-Fi Connection service.

The potential hit game will be published this September in America so you won't have to wait long until you can get your own hands on it. We seriously recommend you do that.

The Phantom Hourglass Demo at Games Convention was the same as the Demo at E3 this May, but the game is so important that we want to give you our newest impressions on Link's next adventure.

The Games Convention demo offers four different areas to explore: Field, Sea, Dungeon and a boss fight. In "Field" you have to guide Link across a huge area and search for four marks to open the door to a cave. In "Sea" you'll draw a route on the touch screen and send Link on his way through the waterways. While shipping you will come across enemies and have to attack them with the board cannon by tapping on them. The Dungeon level gives you a first glimpse of the puzzles the game will feature. You have to find your way through hazards, all the while wiping out enemies and search for new items - essentially doing all of the things that Zelda fans expect in any of Link's adventures.

The boss fight shows off the dual-screen pairing as a single display on the Nintendo DS - this fight takes place on both screens of the DS. The bad guy flies on the top screen and Link has to throw bombs into small hurricanes on the touch screen to get him down and beat him with his sword. After a few hits he is history.

While the graphics really looks a lot like "Wind Waker" on GameCube it's clear that the DS isn't so powerful Still "Phantom Hourglass" is a really beautiful game because the comic style fits to the style of Zelda games. The brand new control scheme offers a unique experience in the series. It is really intuitive to guide Link around with the stylus and kill enemies by tapping on them. Even people who have never played any Zelda game ever will know what to do after a few minutes with the game.

Sadly the game hasn't got a launch date yet. Even though players expected it this holiday season it is extremely likely that we will have to wait until 2007 before exploring the dungeons with Link on the Nintendo DS.

But that's not all that bad a wait considering the Wii and GameCube versions of Twilight Princess will be hitting this holiday. That should hold you over just fine. ...
