Comet has partnered with eBay to create an online store, making its full portfolio available to eBay customers.
According to ERT, Comet claims to be the first High Street retailer to do such a thing, and has pledged that eBay customers will get the same level of support and services as someone who had bought in-store.
As well as the online collaboration, Comet products will also be offered at eBay’s Christmas boutique which will open in London in early December.
“This is the first time a well-known high-street brand has made its full inventory available through the site,” said eBay’s UK retail director, Angus McCarey.
“It will give our customers access to a huge range of electrical products at competitive prices and will enable Comet to benefit from access to millions of potential new customers, so they can sell stock quickly and cost-effectively. Our huge customer base and mobile shopping expertise are key reasons why so many high street brands are opting to sell with us.”

Microsoft's partnership with Nokia has seen the birth of a new line in Windows Phones, which both companies hope will succeed in the crowded smartphone market.
In a bid to attract new customers, Microsoft has developed a mobile browser-based emulator for the WinPho OS, which is available for use on Apple and Android devices.
The aim behind the new platform – with its tiles, big typeface and horizontal scrolling – is to showcase the OS to smartphone users demonstrating its capabilities.
It's likely the secondary aim is to reel in customers from rival operating systems to strengthen its ranks in the battle for domination.
Microsoft will have the most difficulty persuading Apple lovers to climb aboard of course as we recently reported that iPhone owners are the most loyal.

An officially licensed Mario Kart 7 steering wheel spotted last month for release in Japan will be available to buy in the UK next month, Nintendo has confirmed.Created by peripherals manufacturer Hori, the wheel has Nintendo's official stamp of approval.There's no word on how much it will cost here, although in Japan it was priced at 1280 yen (about £10.50).The wheel attachment fits snugly around the 3DS, allowing players extra grip for the game's tilt-sensing gyroscopic controls.Mario Kart 7's arm-swerving control method is optional and sees gameplay transferred into first-person view. It's a control pad-free alternative similar to the Wii Wheel add-on for Mario Kart Wii.Simon Parkin rated the game 8/10 in Eurogamer's Mario Kart 7 review....

Whereas Sony might have confused some consumers with its PSP sales pitch, the platform holder reckons customers should have no problem figuring out what the Vita is for - namely, playing video games.Speaking in an interview with Official PlayStation Magazine, SCEE CEO Jim Ryan conceded that it had sent out mixed messages when it launched the PSP - that it was a general entertainment system rather a core gaming platform."I think with PSP we tried to position it as a rather broad multimedia device," he explained."We talked a lot in the early days of PSP about its video playback functionality, its use as a music device and a host of other multimedia functionality that it had."I think this time we've realised that perhaps ended up confusing consumers, and they weren't quite sure what the device was really all about. So this time the Vita does all of that stuff that we talked about on PSP, and it does it a lot better."We've been a lot more single minded and much more focused in our positioning of Vita," he continued. "We're saying that this is primarily a gaming device. It has been developed from the ground up as a gaming device. What it does best is play games."Not long now before we get to see how that approach pans out. The Vita launches in Japan next month, before arriving in Europe on 22nd February....

Sony will give fans the opportunity to check out the PlayStation Vita well in advance of launch, with events it's calling "Vita Social Clubs." The first, "Vita Hill Social Club," will be held in San Francisco this Thursday, December 1, offering "dozens and dozens" of Vita systems with demos of Uncharted, LittleBigPlanet,Little Deviants, WipEout 2048, ModNation Racers: Road Trip, Reality Fighters, and Hot Shots Golf. Defending your spot in line for a demo is kind of a social activity!
Refreshments will be provided, and Sony also plans to raffle a Vita system and other prizes. RSVP here if you want to go. Following this inaugural Social Club get-together, Sony is planning additional events at unspecified locations throughout the country in January. Barring that, you can see a Vita at one of the locations in Sony's five-mall "tour."

In the US, dancing game sales are up 326% percent year over year, the NPD told the LA Times. That's for the 12-month period ending October 31. Compare that with overall game sales, which rose 3%.
Of course, at the end of October last year, Just Dance 2 had only started selling. Since then, it's been doing very well for itself, and has been followed by several spinoffs, including Just Dance Kids (and its sequel!), Michael Jackson: The Experience, The Black Eyed Peas Experience, Just Dance 2 Summer Party, and, of course, Just Dance 3.
Too damn many Just Dance games can't claim all the credit for the growth in dancing-machine sales. Dance Central is at somewhere over 2.5 million units, and it's been followed by a sequel; Zumba Fitness has been a phenomenon, and Sony's Everybody Dance is also available.

After clocking ten months as the top console on the NPD sales charts, Microsoft had little incentive to lower the price of the Xbox 360 this holiday. Instead, Redmond's strategy has been to partner with retailers to push sale prices, so frugal shoppers have no problem getting a deal while post-holiday pricing remains high so long as strong numbers continue.
To that end, Microsoft just announced that it moved 960,000 consoles in the US "during the week of Black Friday." When asked if that included Cyber Monday, which had some notable Xbox sales of its own, we were told, "These numbers are from Saturday, Nov. 19 through Friday, Nov. 25 and do not include Cyber Monday." Still, without the unfortunately named Cyber Monday, this represents the "biggest week of sales in Xbox history," according to internal Microsoft numbers.
Big whoop, right? What we're really curious about is Kinect. Will it manage to be one of this holiday's "must-have" gifts for a second year in a row? Considering Kinect moved an equally impressive 750,000 units in the US across standalone and bundled offerings, we're inclined to say it's getting there.

In its first week of release, Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was the single best selling product at supermarket giant Sainsbury’s.
It’s one of the starkest illustrations yet of the changing landscape of the games retail sector in the UK.
The Telegraph reports that the retailer also predicts that its best selling item this week won’t be milk or bread or Vegemite – it will be the DVD release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. It is targeting 420k unit sales of the SKU before Christmas.
Commercial director Mike Coupe has outlined plans to increase non-food sales by 70 per cent.
In total Sainsbury’s owns about ten per cent of the UK’s overall non-food market and 17 per cent of its grocery market. The aim is to grow non-food to match this.
And with non-food growing at between two and three times the rate of food, this target certainly looks attainable.
The news comes as the UK’s leading games specialist GAME has had to fend off doom-mongers following a terrible set of financials.

Bethesda’s Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has become the first game developed in the West to receive a perfect 40/40 score from weekly Japanese consumer games mag Famitsu.
The publication asks four reviewers to score each title out of ten, with these then added together to form the overall total.
It’s the 17th game to receive perfect marks, with ten of those being awarded in the last three years.
Former developers to claim the crown include Nintendo (Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, Nintendogs, New Super Mario Bros Wii, Pokemon Black and White and Skyward Sword), Nacmo (Soulcalibur), Square Enix (Vagrant Story, Final Fantasy XII, Dragon Quest IX, Konami (Metal Gear Solid 4, MGS Peace Walker), Sega (Bayonetta) and Capcom (Monster Hunter Tri).
A few Western titles have come close before, grabbing 39/40 scores.
These include Grand Theft Auto IV, Red Dead Redemption, LA Noire, Modern Warfare 2, Modern Warfare 3, COD: Black Ops, Gears of War 3, and FIFA 12.
