Speed issues with Tactics Ogre? Any help appreciated!

Hi guys,

I'm a fiend for SRPG's, and have been dying to play Tactics Ogre: Knight of Lodis for a long time, for which I got the gba emu gbsp 0.9.

Now, I know the game battles are supposed to be quite slow as it is, but I can hardly cope with the pace when I run it on gbsp, and I've tried a variety of settings; adjusting frame skipping up makes the game choppy and not quite enjoyable.

So, my questions are

1. does the game run at it's original speed in gbsp and is there any way of solving the issue (i.e speed it up but avoiding the 'choppiness')?

2. would I be better served by getting Tactics Ogre for a PSX-emulator (seems o be the same game?) and is there any way of solving the speed issue on such an emulator?

Hope I don't get flamed now, I'm a noob at this:)
