Another day of birthdays, which I seem to only have four days of gaming facts left in my documents. So I'll need to Wiki the shit out of August (that will be my Sunday afternoon), just to bring the birthdays into their third month and a reason to keep returning to the forum I've spent the last 12 years next month (although I'm now posting elsewhere - this is home). :cool:

Never released outside of Japan, there was actually a prototype for the NES which had an English translation. However, the English translation was not released and it mainly came to light when it was reported the Mother 1+2 cartidge for the GameBoy Advance, Mother was re-translated into Japanese, though again it wasn't released outside of Japan.

Released 28 years ago in Japan, for the Famicom and GameBoy.

Nintendo also released the GameBoy version of Dr. Mario on this day in 2011 for the 3DS, which they totally missed the 20th anniversary by a year (it was the 21st anniversary in 2011).
