Homebrew experience

Ok, I'm sure this question has been asked 1000x times, but mine is a little different. PSP PHAT sv SLIM? I know slim is going to be better for homebrew in the long run with the double ram, better screen and D-pad, as I've saw with some emulators. But the psp phat I've found is 80$ with 2 games (not pirated copies) and a 1gb memory card. What I want to know is if the homebrew experience on the slim is worth the extra 60$ without a memory card / 2games? I'm primarily going to use it for homebrew.
