psp died , wont turn on...

was using the umd loader 0.8 or somthing on burnout during a nice long 10 games of road rage the psp decided to go black, i turned it on and it continued, then the battery logo appeard, so i hurringly but the AC adapter in and then ...

DEAD it wont turn on, no lights nothing.

Nothing is wrong here. When using the UMD Emulator, this will always happen. Take out your battery, put it back in, put the AC adaptor into your PSP, take is out when the light turns orange, put it back in, and turn it on. You will also notice that your UMD cannot be read until you remove it and reinsert it. I hope they fix this bug in the future...

actualy it was worse than that, i took the battery out , plugged itin for 12 hours , tried putting battery in out , turning it on everything... TRIED EVERYTHING POSSIBLE.... took it to the shop was gonna get a replacement found out theres no more in stock almost cried, he plugged it in and it turne on WITH battery inside, charging away... i was like >< WTF?.... took it home plugged it in worked fine, charges and worked fine now....

VERY Weird!!! shitting a psp brick all night for 12 hours.

the battery did drain to 0% i believe the issue here is that a psp which is downgraded or using the umd emulator has the following issue:

While playing umd emulator and battery runs out , ac adapter will not understand the low voltage of standard home plug sockets, have to take it to a more poweful source / friends house until one is found to heat the battery up, im my research car chargers work fine for this kind of battery heat up process.

Sucks but i think its the emulator or the firmware downgrade as its a jap 1.5 firmware right?

I asked the guy in the store he said the low voltages wouldnt be an issue unless the psp was a jap model... maybe theres a link between jap firmware and power voltages.

I believe this is an issue that needs to be tested, and made aware of before alot of people start leaving the psp to die and then cry to their gamestores for a replacement.
