lua?

hi sorry for asking what may be a dumb question but what exactly is LUA? is it a programming language? i presume it is but just wanted to confirm.

ya its a programming language. one of the main ideas about lua is that you can actually see other peoples code. the code isnt all in gibberish when you view it.
