How would you redesign the Nintendo DS?

Not too long ago the web exploded with a torrent of Nintendo Revolution controller mock-ups. Our wrap-up post shows the amount of attention the controller garnered from the community. From guessing random and obscure features to creating elaborate hoax manuals, Nintendo fans didn’t stop until the controller was unveiled.

The other day, Reggie Fils-Aime dropped a hint that the DS may be due for a re-design. Just over a day later we got our first tip to a mock-up of a new DS design by Ryan Cooper. The mock-up (featured above) seems to be inspired by the design and marketing shots of the Apple iBook.
