ok what i need is the update that sony originally poasted on their webpage of 2.01. you know the one that when you looked at it it said 2.00 but when you updated it was 2.01. with this i could hack the 2.5 firmware please help me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!
I have "PSP Update ver 2.0.zip" which I downloaded from the official site though I never have used it. Is that the one you are looking for? It's 15.9 MB The information in the eboot(SFO) all says 2.00 though so I'm not sure if this is the one you want.

ihave gotten one to load but it would not install so I was thinking that if i use that beause the sfo was accidentially changed to 2.00 by sony i could change it to anthing else without it goin corrupt

there are never that many people on this forum I wonder why
I dunno if it helps, but people are reporting that the GTA update is 2.01 claiming to be 2.00. Not tested it myself though!

The only method of extraction I can think of would be a 1.5 PSP and an app like FileAssistant++ (or a 2.00 PSP if FA++ runs on that). It was just a thought, other than that I'm afraid I can't help you...sorry
