Has anyone purchased a GD-ROM replacement unit or laser eye for their dreamcast recently? I've seen a couple of websites that offer these units but they do say if they are available or not. It would be nice to buy a new unit to extend the life of my dreamcast but I think i may be a couple of years too late for it all.
I have, works as well as the original.

Just wondering, is this a universal GD-ROM unit? I am currently bidding for a PAL dreamcast (dont know which version though). The laser is dead in it and i am planning to buy a total replacement.
