Smackdown v Raw on 2.0

So SDvR needs 2.5 to play. Someone has put forward that you can run pspset 0.2 on FW2.0 to trick the PSP into thinking its running 2.5.

If I bought the UMD and tried this method, would it work? I'm not into buying it if I have to upgrade to 2.5 to play it

Also, is this even possible on 1.5? Are there any programs that can make the psp think its running 2.5 when actually its 1.5? And would SDvR work like this? Or does it need the AVC codec like GTA did?

Smackdown vs Raw EUR version,, (if it was bought around this time) works on PSP Firmware 2.0, but for some reason has the 2.5 Update with it on the UMD.
