A Shakira edition of the iPod?

A source with connections to major label PR types has offered the rumor of the month: there will be a Shakira version of the Apple video iPod released this quarter.

The Skakira iPod could be like the U2 edition, and perhaps lead to an association like the one Apple has with Eminem.

It might be a strong effort for Apple to gain new adherents in Latin markets.

Shakira's award winning, and shall we say, stirring, videos would be a natural exclamation point to Apple's new video iTunes store.

Or it may be just a another rumor-- amongst many swirling around Apple's market leading music and video player.
