Protective screens help!

Hey there im totally new to the DS scene,my girlfriend bought me a lime green one about 4 days ago, along with a stater kit, including two screen protectors, i gathered these were for the touchpad, seeing that after 4 days of zelda my touch screen already is getting marks!


So these screen protectors are made by "exspect" never heard of them..
The first thing i did wrong, was that i put on the "peel back" "front" bit, i didnt realize that there was a bit of plastic in teh center! ha, anyway after putting the right protector plastic on, i have this bubble that goes around the entire edge of the touch pad... So the middle of the protector is touching the touch screen, and then i i have a little elevation to where the protector sits, leaving a bubble around the edge of the screen, which makes playing games like zelda a pain in teh arse!

How can i sort this?
