Do I need AR?

Hi Gang! This forum has been so helpful...I've finally decided to post :)

I have an old Gamecube, an SD Gecko...all I want to do is to run a NES Emulator on my gamecube, as well as load up my homebrew NES games on the thing.

My main question is, do I need an Action Replay to do this?

yes i think so. or sd media launcher, but if you already have an sd gecko AR will be fine
