Is compatible with the newer system, because I am into buying both, but I do not want to buy the 4GB Hard drive and it not work.

Any suggestions?

i would hold off on the 4gb hard drive for a bit - with the size decrease that thing could be a monster and consume half your ds.

why do you want a 4gb hardrive?
