psp doesnt turn on

hey guys, i had a quick question. its with my friends psp, not mine, but one day he spelt sauce all over his psp, and after he cleaned it up, (im assuming with water) it started not to work. what happens is that when you put the battery in, orange light comes on like when the ac adapter is in automatically, and the psp doesnt turn on. To make sure, i tried using my battery, and it did the same thing so the problem is in the psp. do you guys have any idea where the problem is, or how to fix it? thanks in advance.
