hm of the consoles ive owned i would say the Xbox wins hands down, on the handheld side of things for Snes emulation, i would say the GP2x is king of Snes emulation.

Overall for the power of the machine the GP2x is therefore king of Snes emulation on consoles.

I would have to say the Wii SNES9X has worked amazingly well. Superscope games run great with wii-mote, and all SuperFX games run full speed.

im going to go with xbox also, and for hand held i would have to choose psp, since thats the only hand held i have owned that can actually do it

Ds... it's easy and reliable... then dreamcast... 'cause it's so darn easy

Would a mac mini thats hooked up to a HDTV count? Cause there is not 1 game I cant get running at full speed on that thing. As far as a real console, I have no experience other than dreamSNES which ran only super punchout at full speed, and snes9x for PSP with runs on shaky wheels and never holds full speed for any game (not saying its bad, just it slows down at level loads, transparency or if some game logic changes suddenly. Still very playable). Im sure the Xbox would be king since its a PC at its core.

I love the wii version also , has a nice gui and feel to it and every game i have tried works perfectly + it can be run from sd or h/d.

Thing is though all the latest consoles can run a snes emulators pretty much perfect so its only really down to what consol you own and what emulator you like the look of the most!

The best SNES emulator is... a SNES :D
So, try to find a used one.

Not a very tough question, Wii of course!!

I do love the SNES emulator for Dreamcast and have made many single pack or collections of games (sequel packs, trilogy, etc.). Not all run full speed but it is a great console to play them on. For handhelds I do like the one built into the JXD-301. It runs most games too fast but has full sound and it makes the games more challenging. I have tried it on the NDS and the SNES emulators were not very good, heck the Tapwave Zodiac played it better! The one on my PSP is good too though, but to pick one I would still pick the JXD-301 and other similar devices from China, and the Dreamcast rules!!!!!
