Willing to pay someone to overclock my DC

I have found this guide, though it seems to leave out a bit of vital information, such as what it is that you attach to the pin you cut in order to overclock the DC.

If anyone knows how to do this, and is willing to do it for the price of the part plus say $50 (I live in the US) then PLEASE PM me. I want this done!

Or if you can provide the missing in formation in the article so I can try it my self, that info would be very welcome as well!

So I guess I need a 40mhz 4-pin oscillator ?

What you should be soldering to the pin is the new oscillator to replace the Dreamcast's 33 MHz oscillator.

You might be able to order a 40 Mhz oscillator from the Radioshack catalog, but don't take my word on that. When I called my local Radioshack around a year ago, the guy I was talking to thought that an oscillator was something for a scanner. :/

radio shack will just look at you funny if you ask for anything other than cell phones or RC cars nowdays..
mouser has this and unlike some places there's no minimum order on most stuff.

I hear that you need to overclock your VMU to save if you do this too. Is that true?

Yes, Radio Shack is about as worthless as you can get now a days. I saw that coming when they began to tell you that you could not buy certain items because of previous things that you bought that could be used to get free phone calls or what ever...

...very annoying.

But, ya the employees at these stores no NOTHING about even basic electronics, which is really sad. Sadder still is the fact that the DIY techy is a dying breed, or at least that's how it seems. I'm not sure I want to grow up in a world where everyone just punches in at the time clock and follows order with no original thoughts, or private collective energies of their own, except that which is being used in the mass production race...

Right, I've been trolling the net for the past couple of hours for info pics etc on doing this and found out some good info. I'm confident at soldering etc so have deceided I'm going to do this. Using the Oscillator from your link (in quote above) how will I be able to identify what pin of that will need soldering to the clock chip pin, what pin for live 5v and what pin for ground.

Sorry if this is a ridiculous question for some reason - I'm new to this kind of stuff.
